FTG is still better, in a 1v1 situation. Him losing to Minato is proof.

Kamui is a lot more versatile, and you can get more accomplished with it in different situations. Pretty sure that's what Minato meant.

The only advantage of FTG is speed in battle, that's all, Kamui got defence and ability to one shot, but probably slower teleportation, but current Obito can blitz Minato without Kamui probably...

I'm not saying current Obito would have any trouble against Minato, I know he wouldn't.

I'm simply saying that with the right user, (Minato in this case), FTG would be better.

That was the kamui world (spelling?) where Obito doesn't have the jutsu that he over-relies on. If it had been in the real world on fair terms, Obito would have won. This is an unfair comparison.
(this coming from an avid Obito hater, one that tries to have valid critiques of character)
