[Discussion] Chapter 698-Truly awful-my honest review

Ever since chapter 692 I was really excited because it seemed to me like sasuke had balls. He was not just blindly following naruto,he had his own resolve and will. In the following chapter sasuke made it clear that he wanted to kill naruto. At the end of chapter 697 he was about to kill him.

And Then suddenly in chapter 698 he loses his balles! He decides to become a goody goody(which he never was)

It makes no bloody sense. It seems obvious to me know that the only reason that Kishimoto made sasuke want a revolution is that the Naruto vs Sasuke fight could happen

Honestly? With the way he has done it he might as well have made it a chunin exam style battle instead

Really 0/10? Sound's to me and sorry if I'm wrong that Sasuke is your fav who got lost and here you are mad at the fact he admitted his own defeat and naruto won by stopping him.

I say won only in the way Sasuke wanted to achieve his goals to which Naruto succeeded in stopping.

Deff 10/10 Chapter both for Sasuke's development and Naruto's Victory of stopping Sauce.

I agree with you. It's my favorite chapter of the series because we finally learn what Sasuke was thinking about this whole time and it actually makes his actions so far logical. He tried hard to sever his bonds with Naruto because Naruto reminded him of his family and he thought that creating bonds like that was a weakness.

Sasuke was never a true "bad guy", more of an anti-hero. I don't know why you would expect him to stay "bad" anyway, it'd defeat the purpose of the manga if Sasuke was not "redeemed".

On another note, I do like current Sasuke more then the one that is drunk off power, and is a few screws short.

Then However in chapter 692 he pulled a 360 and was like 'Screw this I'm gonna kill naruto' which made sense to me since he is that type of guy
Then 6 chapters later he be like' Naruto an I are best friends'

Sasuke wasn't a bad guy at all. He purposely fell into darkness to sever himself from the bonds he made because he thought that having bonds made him weak. It's probably because he didn't want to lose someone important to him like his family again. That's why he tried hard to sever those bonds, but Naruto made it difficult for him, that's why he tried to kill Naruto.

It's been showed that he always thought of Naruto like that, killing him would've been the ultimate thing to "sever" those bonds. But his ideals lost out.
