Maybe Izanami is a tech that must be done from MS, as opposed to Izanagi which is done from a regular sharingan.

There must be a drawback, otherwise Sasuke cannot lose to Naruto (if he has indeed learnt Izanami) when they fight, he just can't.

Well Naruto did tell Saskue that if they fight they will both die....

That's true, but I don't think he saved and stored all of those Sharingan, didn't Tobi take them all? That would mean he would have to give his secrets away to Tobi and or be his puppet. Not to mention, he would lose whatever MS powers he has in that eye, remember each eye has its own unique power. He would still lose his power from that MS eye. Also, I guess we will have to wait and see if using Izanami requires Senju DNA to use, that would mean Itachi can't even use it unless he is an Edo.

Just a couple questions, wasn't Edo Itachi made from a Zetsu clone which was giving Hashirama DNA by Kabuto himself? So does he technically have Senju blood/DNA in him or did that all change when he broke free of the Edo Tensei?

These are just questions against the thought of him needing Senju blood to preform Izanami.

I'll just wait and see whether Itachi can actually use it (in his non edo form and whether it requires Senju DNA) and how effective it actually is, before I pass any judgement xd

lol, I predicted this a while back

I was on wikipedia and I found out about Izanami and Izanagi

So Izanami had to be it's partner jutsu

Not sure if it was yours, but yeah i remember reading some wiki links on here about the mythology and Izanami was in it... lol

Either way whether he uses both he's dead he might regenerate the eye once it is loss

Perhaps the "creation of all things" jutsu is just a reference to using both izanagi and izanami together.
So that the sage first used izanagi to make the reality that "the 10 tails existed" into a genjutsu, and then used izanami to make a genjutsu where the chackra was divide into a reality?

Itachi using Izanami is a win/win. If it doesn't work he'll more than likely regain any lost sight from the jutsu due to his regeneration abilities caused by Edo Tensei and try something else. If it works he'll be able to release all of the Edo's, *along with himself*, and never have to tell Sasuke the truth which will continue Sasuke down the path of battling Naruto again. If the latter happens, Sasuke will try to ask Itachi about the truth and Itachi will go back into his coffin without giving a "good enough" answer and during that time Kabuto will sneak away.
I'm just wondering will releasing the Edo's send them back into their coffins and then they're gone or will it just release Kabuto's control over each one of them and they still need to be sealed?

No-one is probably going to pay attention to my post but...

Does anyone else think that when Itachi said "[Izanami] has already been prepared..." he was referring to the previous chapter when he made eye contact with Kabuto before dispersing into crows?

Think about it. There's a close-up on his Mangekyo when he says that line, and although Kabuto said he's immune to eye techniques, it may not be the case with Izanami.

Just a thought. You guys can steal this and make a thread if you like xd
