Another thing; Does it require Senju DNA? We know that it is Izanagi pair, and Izanagi requires Senju DNA. Would it be therefore logical to assume Izanami also requires both Uchiha and Senju DNA?

who know ? but 1 thing for sure, itachi don't have senju dna in his body

Well Kishi had to pull it off sooner or later. Sharingan eye techs are based on Japanese myths so I kinda had a feeling izanami would be put in here eventually. It does sound really op turning genjutsu into reality. People are going to get credit for this prediction.

I doubt it cause Tobi would have realised when he took Itachis body and i dont think Itachi would get that ill if he had senju DNA.

Tbh im not sure. Danzo said that he needed hashirama dna to increase the time of izanagi, but tobi said to use izanagi you need hashirama's dna and danzo had it.

But itachi obviously doesnt have hahsirama's dna, at least i hope not.
Anyway this chapter has clearly gotten minato/jiraiya fanboys upset and are probably cursing kishi and claiming this chapter to be blasphemous.

Atleast kishi has basically put the vs thread concerning itachi vs minato to rest, imo. Thank you kishi :izuna:

But i THINK that itachi is using it due to being an edo, so he could possibly just regenerate back to his previous eye state

Is Itachi ever going to tell sasuke the truth. I've got no idea what to expect from this new jutsu.

omg...excellent question... itachi already mentioned to naruto that hashirama dna would boost shishui's eye power

so he knows alot about the whole senju thing, even about hashirama's power..

izanagi requires senju dna according to tobi, its possible izanami does also...

Anyway i have a theory which hints that you dont need hashirama's dna so to speak to use izanagi or izanami, but rather his beliefs/ideology/spirit so to speak, to use izanagi.

Basically this chapter has established that itachi truly has konoha's will of fire, hashirama's will of fire and with that its enough for him to use izanami without his dna.

Basically you only need hashirama's dna if you dont have the will of fire.
If you do, then you dont need it imo

Afterall Izanami is the Goddess that went to hell in japanese mythology
With Izanagi being the God of course, so im assuming this technique is going to be off the chain

So, will power grants you that ability? I'm sure Danzou had the will of fire though, his means of doing things were just abit......:| Essentially, he wanted to protect Konoha and eveyone in it :shrug: So then he wouldn't have needed Hashirama's DNA?

The other reason u shoulda known is cuz it's been said there must be an Izanami on this forum hundreds of times, just nobody seemed to have a good idea of what was going be back then in any of the threads I read.

I myself was waiting to see what will izanami be. finally I'll get to see it.

Er the only edo that has been upgraded is madara. The rest of the edo's have the same abilities they had when they were alive

If izanagi is a forbidden uchiha jutsu why would they need senju
