The body structure of Black-Beard and the Pacifistas are essentially the same, suggesting that the shape of someone's body can affect how much tech they can hold. And essentially he partitioned part of his body off from the other part of the nanotech. Using his tools of gravity. The reason why there are no 2 fruits are one time is that these are pased some ancestral tech, that was exclusive to some but not to all. So people created their own tech. The sky people were the first to have this tech but described it in more spiritual means. The reason why blackbeard can negate the devil fruit power is he is literally "sucking" nano-machines from his victim. And this is why he could absorb whitebeard's nano-tech but has to store it on his right and left side again using a form of his inherent abilities.

Oda stated in SBS that Devil Fruit users are susceptible to all types of water, not just seawater. He elaborated on this, saying that "moving" water, like rain or waves, does not weaken Devil Fruit users, while standing water does.

That is the correct quote.


I believe it still leaves my theory up to chance.

Because its not just water, salt is the key. As shown in thriller bark. Like in the Sea-Stone Manacles they most likely highly concentrated in salt.

When you put salt into water, salt molecules NaCl divide themselves into ions : Na+ and Cl- . As they carry an electrical charge, they are put in motion by the electrical field created by the generator (a battery for example), thus a current can flow in salted water and it is said that salted water conducts electricity. It's a bit the same thing in metals for electrons, which carry a negative charge.


Not saying that real-world science would apply to One-Piece world science, but the theory is still there.

I also think that the civilization from the moon who created the spacey's also created the "devil fruits". Since they were running out of resources on the moon it is conceivable they made or constructed "fruits". And perhaps some were reserved for "special people." This rift is a projection of the rift between the Marines(The High-Borns), and a lower case(Pirates). One Piece I think is some sort of technology, that will show the world the truth. Or maybe the devil fruit's were used to combat the fish people due to some worldwide strife. Which the humans won, sending the fish people into seclusion.

Dr. Vegapunk with all of his creation's seem robotic and mechanical in creation in some way i.e. Kuma. With his specialty being robotic's and integration of biological and mechanical parts; and at the same time being the top authority on the Devil Fruit's. It would make sense for the Fruit to be somehow mechanical in origin.
