It's not an activation technique like the concealment tech, so the second you stop focusing your chakra on the hidden rain tech, it would deactivate. This simply adds to the balance of the technique's usage and deadly potential.

The first ranged offensive technique you will be learning! Rather simple to be honest, in fact simpler than most techniques you've done up to this point. I want you to manipulate the chakra around a falling rain drop, and just how you did with the rain orb technique, I want you to condense the molecules of that single rain drop, allowing you to turn it into a more solid form, like ice, though not entirely. Using shape manipulation, you will cause the edges of the rain drop to become sharp like a blade as it drops down on it's target.
Strong points
  • Requires no hand seals and is incredibly fast. Simply manipulate the single rain drop and cause it to fall on the opponent's specific location and stab them.
  • Is hardened water and as such gains some piercing qualities making it more deadly than simple water blasts/rain drops.
  • Basically this technique can only be noticed by Byakugan users (360 degree vision EXCEPT for their blind spot) and sensors. So this is an incredibly deadly technique despite its low rank. Sharingan/Rinnegan users will be able to see the drop of rain but only if the look at it falling from above.
Weak points
  • Well it is a single drop so once they move from it then it misses because it only falls in a linear direction (down)
  • Byakugan users will notice it unless you make it so the rain falls in a direction directly into their single blind spot. Sensors pretty much always have this covered, lol.
Combinations-strategies

Well you can bind the opponent in place and then cause it to drop this single drop of rain on them making it impossible for them to move and thus susceptible to the drop of rain.

Ways to counter this technique

Honestly without sensory or Byakugan (As I said above Sharingan/Rinnegan users will notice it but only if they look at it) it is nearly impossible to justify moving to avoid this technique. Most people will metagame their way out of this to avoid damage.
Channeling his suiton chakra into a single rain drop just produced by the clouds above Jugram shape manipulates it into a small hardened spear. The spear would fall down upon his target and strike their skull with the piercing damage.

Sad but true enough...

I think it's about time...

(Ame Kasui no jutsu) - Rain Spike Technique
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user of this technique must place chakra into one or more raindrops. As the drops of rain hit the ground they create a small sized spike of water from puddles on the ground. For this technique to work there must be water on the ground and it must be raining.
This technique requires puddle of rainwater to have been formed beforehand. You will utilize that puddle as a foundation for your technique. As rain drops fall on the small source, you will shape manipulate them into a small spear that will rise from the rain water source, aiming to strike your target.

This technique requires puddle of rainwater to have been formed beforehand. You will utilize that puddle as a foundation for your technique. As rain drops fall on the small source, you will shape manipulate them into a small spear that will rise from the rain water source, aiming to strike your target.
Strong points
  • It is fairly easy to get rainwater puddles overtime with the Rain Tiger at Will Technique. So within a turn or two this technique becomes readily accessible.
  • It is very quick as it requires no hand seals making it very potent to manipulate enemy movement and their respective counters.
  • Makes very little sound relative to the sound of the rain hitting the ground so it makes for a good surprise attack.
Weak points
  • Because the spike itself comes from a rain drop hitting a preexisting rain puddle the technique cannot come up from directly below an opponent's foot for example. So it will usually always be in their line of sight or behind them.
  • It does require rain puddles. So while they are easily accessible they are easily defended against by simply blowing away the clouds before puddles can form and stopping the rain itself.
Combinations-strategies

Use a technique that comes from above forcing them to not be able to dodge from above and then use this technique to create a spike to come out from behind them to surprise them.

Ways to counter this technique

I'd have to concentrate on the sound that the rain spike would make while forming and of course use techniques fast enough to evade them. Even then it is incredibly hard to pull that off and requires very good descriptions making this technique very dangerous.
Channeling my suiton chakra into a single rain drop as it fell toward the ground behind my opponent, who was standing on a preexisting rain puddle. As the rain drop hit the puddle it would quickly form a spike aiming to strike at the opponent's achilles tendon which would significantly hinder their movement capabilities.

Good! Now it's time to learn the infamous parent technique to all others!

(Ame no Yari) - Rain Spear
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: By using chakra to condense a large amount of rainwater into one place, the user creates a spear of water in the clouds. The spear can at any time be called down to strike an opponent with only one hand-seal. The water will stay in the form of spear for a short amount of time (three posts). If the spear is not used by that time it will fall uselessly as rain. The
I want you to focus your chakra or simply manipulate the one around the clouds, thereafter causing a large volume of rainwater to gather at one place within a medium range radius. You will then use shape manipulation to condense the rain water into the form of a spear that has a bladed edge as is' tip. The really good side to this technique is that the manipulation of the condensed water can stay for up to three turns before you call it down with a single hand seal.

You will then use shape manipulation to condense the rain water into the form of a spear that has a bladed edge as is' tip. The really good side to this technique is that the manipulation of the condensed water can stay for up to three turns before you call it down with a single hand seal.
Strong points
  • Much larger amount of water making it a larger technique in terms of size and shape. It is very sharp making it a lethal technique that would rain down upon from the sky.
  • Allows you to pick when to drop it from the sky with a single hand seal within the three turn limit. This makes it highly versatile in that usage.
Weak points
  • There is a very brief pause in the rain giving the enemy some form of a signal that something is about to happen. This is not enough though for them to deduce that it is this specific technique and that they need to move from their current position. More information is needed for that.
  • Only sensors and byakugan users (outside of the blind spot) will be able to easily see this. Sharingan/Rinnegan users can as well but they need to look at it directly.
Combinations-strategies

Basically the same as with the Rain Slash where you use this to drop directly on an opponent. The reason you would pick this one over the other one is that you would want to use it at a later point instead of just dropping it immediately. So for this I would force my opponent into a position where they could not move as the rain awaited in the clouds and then call the drop down upon them.

Ways to counter this technique

Well as the parent technique basically most people without dojutsu/sensory will only pull off this by metagaming their way out of it. The only information a normal opponent has to go off of is that the rain stopped for a brief second and that the user formed a hand seal to cause the spear to fall from the clouds. Although neither of these pieces of information are enough to evade this technique without metagaming ;_;.
Channeling his suiton chakra into the sky Jugram would cause the rain to temporarily stop to condense a spear in the clouds to form. The rain would resume again quickly afterwards and continue falling as it normally would. Soon after Jugram would weave a single hand seal causing the rain spear to fall from the sky and strike his target in the head, killing him.

No issues, good.

(Ame Nottori no Jutsu) - Rain Capture Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This technique causes a target of the user's choice to "attract" raindrops. The water in the rain drops will attach themselves over an opponent. Once enough water has gathered over an enemy it will also attach to the ground, holding the user's opponent to the ground.
I want you to focus on countless rain drops and manipulate them onto your target's body, causing them to attach themselves like glue, though not entirely so. Once enough rainwater has attached to the opponent's body, it will begin to attach itself to the ground beneath your target, successfully holding them in place.

With that said and done, Habaki stands back up and black flips yet again, however this time to a nearby tree, utilizing it as a means of shelter from the rain. He then proceeds to sit against the tree and close his eyes in order to rest for a few hours.

I'll be leaving several clones out on the field for you to practice on. While you do that, I will take a quick break. See ya!

Strong points
  • Potent technique in that it requires no hand seals to utilize. It is also incredibly fast because it uses the rain falling which surrounds the opponent
  • It inhibits enemy movement and restricts sudden and abrupt actions making it very powerful in that regard.
  • Its also very distracting and makes it very dangerous to use raiton techniques.
Weak points
  • It does take a few seconds to fully trap them which in that time they can easily use a doton or other techniques to evade the rain or counter it.
Combinations-strategies

I would simply activate this technique and then create a scenario where the target could not use a doton technique by using a raiton that does not come from my own body, such as Four Pillar Bind.

Ways to counter this technique

Simply use a doton to defend against the rain or use something like Hurricane Fist to quickly move away from the rain in that vicinity before it has the chance to trap you.
As Habaki jumped into the nearby tree Jugram would release his suiton chakra into the atmosphere around his shishou's clone causing a nearly glue like rain to fall onto the clone in all various ways. The glue like rain would begin to attach itself to joints and other body parts beginning to inhibit movement making it very distracting upon which it would gain a significant enough amount to attach itself to the ground as well locking the clone in place in a rain/glue like bind leaving it extremely vulnerable.

I'm starting to sense repetitive answers Jugram!!

(Ame Bunshin) - Raining Clones
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A jutsu that creates false clones of the user around drops of rain. Every clone is totally harmless and is destroyed by one hit or if they collide with the ground or the enemy. This technique is used as more of a distraction than anything.
Okay so now, this next technique is basically an advanced version of the E-Ranked clone technique and a Pseudo-Version of the water clone technique. Basically allows you to create clones revolving around rain drops (made of rain) to distract your opponent. If the clone is struck, or falls against the ground/object/structure it'll collapse into a very small source of rain water.

"Sorry Habaki-shish..." Jugram began apologizing as he caught himself on his shishou's title realizing and remembering that he does not like formalities such as that. Jugram was beginning to take a strange liking to his teacher.

Strong points
  • This is similar to the earlier rain image technique. However instead of mirroring motions the clones are actually somewhat autonomous and able to create more complex distractions.
  • Create a rain puddle source for future rain techniques such as Rain Spikes.
  • Can distract the opponent further when they make contact by splashing the rain source on them creating a temporary opening.
  • Unlike some other clones (Mizu Bunshin) this clone has free range of movement from the user as long as they are formed in short range.
Weak points
  • No directly offensive uses. Like other weaknesses of some of the previous rain techniques this isn't actually a major weakness but something that needs to be accounted for.
Combinations-strategies

I'd use this to make some openings when going in for close range and use it so the clone would disperse on impact with an opponent creating that splash of water that could distract them and leave an opening for me. Of course I would also then use the rain puddle created to use other rain techniques that utilize and require rain puddles on the ground.

Ways to counter this technique

Just simply hitting it will disperse it. So it doesn't take much. A large scale enough technique that engulfs both targets (clone and the user) will handle it well. Also I will know it is a clone if I see it created myself so it won't be hard to deduce the low danger from that clone as long as I take that into account with my opponent's offense.

Good, however you forgot to actually perform the technique silly, please do so along with this next one.

(Gouu no Jutsu) - Heavy Rain Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A jutsu that actually uses the victim's clothing as a medium to effect him or her. By filling the clothing with water-elemental chakra the user causes the clothing to fully retain all water it comes in contact with which will gradually cause the clothing to become heavier and heavier. Unfortunately, this jutsu that does not create water, so it is only useful in a rainy or otherwise wet environment
Habaki proceeds to cross his fingers and create a shadow clone out in front of him that begins to slowly walk towards Jugram.

A very unique and fun rain technique. I want you to focus your water chakra throughout my clone. This will allow you to begin and draw extra rain water towards the target's clothing, gradually causing him to get heavier and heavier. A very versatile technique to use. Please list various ways that you would use this technique against your target!

Channeling his suiton chakra into the rain drops falling Jugram causes them to converge once again in a similar way to the previous clone technique. This causes the drops to converge and form a mass of rain water that takes the shape of Jugram through shape manipulation. The clone then charges at Jugram's target attempting an uppercut punch. When the punch connects the clone disperses harmlessly back into rain water which covers that target and drops to the ground.
Strong points
  • So not to be repetitive but I do feel it is relevant to mention this one. The technique doesn't require hand seals so this makes it incredibly useful to use in the heat of the moment against an opponent if they come into close range to hinder their movement. Making this technique highly versatile.
  • Any technique that hinders enemy movement is highly useful.
  • It is actually quite difficult how to counter this technique. One has to get the rain water off of them instead of simply escaping the drops. So this forces them to use a doton technique to push the water off them leaving them vulnerable to raiton.
Weak points
  • It isn't instantaneous so it does give them time to react and defend themselves appropriately.
  • Even if they do get bound in place or become too heavy to move properly they are still highly dangerous as they can mold chakra perfectly fine. So it isn't necessarily a weakness but something that should be taken into account as a precaution.
Combinations-strategies

Highly versatile technique with numerous combination possibilities. I would primarily use this to hinder enemy fast actions and taijutsu attacks at me causing them to slow down and eventually be unable to connect them.

Ways to counter this technique

This is a somewhat tricky technique to counter. The water causes your clothes and what not to become heavy. So naturally what you do is strip the clothes but that isn't enough to pull it off as that would be freeform evading a technique. So you almost are forced to use doton or a similar element to stop the rain from hitting you and push it off you. So that leaves them vulnerable to raiton.
Channeling suiton chakra into the rain drops around Habaki's clone Jugram manipulates them to converge on the target's clothing causing them to become saturated with water and become much heavier inhibiting the clone's movement. This makes sudden and abrupt movements almost impossible and makes any movement annoying in all sorts of ways!

Please explain to me a way of how you would use Doton to remove the heavy drops of rain off of your body. Speaking of which, you could also use wind release; "Peacock Whirlwind Formation" in order to blow away all the rain drops from your body. Although they soak your body, its safe to assume you'd be able to "wash" out most of the heavy ones.

Now, after explaining to me the doton part, I then want you to perform a three jutsu battle combination utilizing at least two of the rain techniques you've learned so far. You are allowed to use anything else you know like taijutsu, free form, kunais etc etc.

Habaki proceeds to create a clone of himself long range away from Jugram.
"Well the use of Doton to push the rain water off of you is similar to how I learned how you do it with Amaterasu. You create the earth from your body to use the surface of the earth that emerges from your skin to carry the water and effectively push it off you. At least that is how I think it works and can be done. I know it was done with Amaterasu in the past with Wood Release so I figured the concept is the same."

OOC: I am going to assume it is still raining for my techniques.

As Habaki left the clone and leapt away into long-range from Jugram, Jugram locked eyes with the clone as the rain continued to drop on the ground. Their training had continued on for some time which at this point meant many puddles of rain water had gathered on the ground leaving both rain sources and caused the ground to become somewhat muddy.

To begin Jugram would drop a smoke bomb from his sleeve detonating it as soon as it hit the ground disguising him in a plume of smoke. Using this time he would perform two techniques. First he would quickly create a rain water clone causing the drops to converge into a single form creating a perfect clone of Jugram himself. Immediately after the formation of the clone, still disguised in the smoke Jugram would disguise himself to take on the form of the rain itself hiding him completely from Habaki's clone's view and moving over slightly allowing the clone to take his original position.

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A jutsu that can only be used in rain to conceal oneself, this jutsu is considered a dynamic form of henge. After performing a row of hand-seals, the user seems to disappear. In truth, they have merely assumed a form that mimics rain. Fast movements and physical contact with others may reveal the user

Once the smoke dispersed the clone would stay and in Jugram's place making it seem as if nothing happened. Using his disguise Jugram would move to Habaki's clone's rear while the clone would begin a slow charge in order to give Jugram time to get behind his clone. When Jugram would reach behind Habaki's clone Jugram's clone would begin a much faster sprint toward it. The clone, upon reaching arms length, would land an upper cut on the clone upon which Jugram's clone would disperse into a pile of water splashing Habaki's clone in all sorts of surprising ways. Immediately after Jugram would swipe his leg beneath Habaki's clone tripping him and causing mud to fly up into the air splashing the clone while he fell to the ground. Simultaneously Jugram would channel his suiton chakra into a single rain drop hardening it into a blade which would aim to strike the Habaki's clone's head as he fell to the ground, dispersing it.
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user manipulates their chakra to condense a single raindrop into a more solid form. The raindrop becomes as sharp as a blade. The disadvantage to this jutsu is that the raindrop falls in a straight line.

Good, now onto B-Ranks!

(Ame Kumo Bunshin) - Rain Cloud Clone
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A jutsu that creates a clone from the Rain clouds in the sky. The clone resembles the user but keeps the appearance of moving clouds with only the shape and color of the user. Because of this the clouds cannot be used as a distraction. The clones are able to attack and receive attacks.
You will manipulate your chakra into the sky and around the clouds, you will then cause a small "source" of clouds to come down onto the battlefield near your short range. Using shape manipulation you will give the source of clouds your overall appearance, still maintaining the moving/cloudy nature. The clone is able to use Rain techniques up to B ranks and will be "dispersed" same as the shadow clone technique or other variants. Unlike previous clone techniques, this one is able to tank physical attacks like free-form taijutsu and things of that nature without dispersing.

Strong points
  • Can use B-Rank rain techniques making it potent for chaining quick combinations with Rain and other techniques together.
  • Can 'tank' freeform physical attacks such as kunai and what not allowing it to be a potent distraction in close range.
  • I assume he will disperse into a plume of smoke meaning that it'll make a good distraction and surprise.
Weak points
  • Takes a little time to form since you have to draw the clouds down from the atmosphere.
  • He is obviously a clone as he looks like clouds and keeps the same physics and behavior as them.
Combinations-strategies

Personally I would use this when I go into close range and use it as a taijutsu distraction and as a way to chain rain techniques together to hinder my opponent while I myself concentrated on taijutsu. This is such as heavy rain, rain of glue, etc. However I have to be very careful not to do the same to myself as these rain techniques can hit me as well in that close range.

Ways to counter this technique

Just kill the clone. It isn't hard to discern which the clone and which isn't since it is very clearly made of clouds. Be wary of combination rain techniques though and try to disperse the clouds at the same time.

Channeling suiton chakra into the rain clouds above I apply shape manipulation to drag clouds down and shape them into a near perfect image of myself, with the exception of the image still moving as clouds would in a semi-fluid shape.

Dean Winchester enters the training field by emerging from a dark Nekura portal. He had to come help out a clan member, Habaki, to teach a young man Rain Release. It was an ability Dean had mastered a few months ago himself. An extremely useful ability at that too. Without wasting a single moment, Dean looked at his new student.

"Hm, it seems Habaki taught you quite far. We will be using a different method though. You have to give me a description of how you perform it, at least 2 advantages and disadvantages and how would you use it in battle. If you understand, we can continue."

Dean then looked up in the sky, the clouds were dark and it was raining steadily. This reminded him of his Ame days.

"Alright, here we go!"

Dean looks up into the clouds. He was teaching a great skill, hopefully Jugram would be able to reward him with a great performance.

"Second B rank technique. First, I want you to form the necessary hand seals (does not state which) and then focus your Rain based chakra into the dark clouds above. Once you have done that, draw the rain together to a central point or over a ranged area, and form several large lumps of rain. Somewhat solid in nature, these "rain bullets" would fall like rocks from the sky, and would like rocks too if they hit someone! Now, it's a pretty basic technique, perform it with great detail!"

Dean then creates a clone to suffer the fade punishment, whilst Dean himself creates an earth based shelter to protect him from the rain.

Channeling suiton chakra into the clouds above Jugram weaves a few hand seals (dat vagueness .-.) causing the rain in the clouds to condense together forming much larger nuclei of rain drops and condensing them into bullets of rain that fall as rocks down on the opponent. As the rain would fall my opponent would feel the much larger and concentrated drops strike them over the duration of the technique hurting and distracting them in the most annoying of ways!

It is a very distracting technique. I mean they are in essence being pelted with rocks falling from the sky so if they sit in this for a while it could even knock them out. It isn't bone shattering or lethal or anything like that which actually makes it good for times when you just don't want to kill someone. You can also select the area in which the bullets are formed and fall so you don't have to worry about it at all in regards to damaging yourself as that is something very commonly done with bad use of Rain. Unfortunately the technique doesn't say how many hand seals it requires which to me can cause some arguments about the speed of the technique. But that is not that important. I know many of the Rain techniques say "necessary hand seals" so I'll just have to cope with that. I'd use this in battle to distract my opponent primarily. Many rain jutsu require someone to move out from under it or create a covering overhead that is stronger than the actual technique. Its important to remember as well that the entirety of the damage is only dealt if the opponent remains under the technique for the duration.

It actually causes 40 damage O^O

Dean then smiles as Jugram gives him the answer. It was well done, they still had a long road though. Dean then threw a scroll with some writing on it. It explained the jutsu, in case Jugram needed it again one day.

"The jutsu you just learned!"

Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user does the necessary handseals and focuses chakra into the rain, the rain draws together and forms several bullets of rain. The "bullets" fall at an accelerated rate and feel like large rocks falling from the sky.

"Now, the next one. A pretty basic technique, where you will form the necessary hand seals, and place out your hands in front of you. Then, you will use your Rain based chakra to gather up a large amount of Rain and create a wall of solid water in front of you. Your hands are connected to it though, so be weary of Lightning and such. It is a great supplementary technique, use it against my clone's weak Taijutsu!"

Dean then creates a clone that runs towards Jugram with great speed.
