Oh, that pun. -.-

And, I don't think you would be able too.

(Katon: Hi no Iki) - Fire Release: Fire Breath
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user breathes a powerful stream of fire from their mouth at their target.

Simply technique, breathe a stream of fire from your mouth, releasing it towards my clone. Simple and straight forward not much to say on this one honestly.

One/three advantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. B-ranked fire is good enough to counter A-rank wind.
  • 2. Simple, quick, and potentially effective.
  • 3. Powerful if used properly by a master fighter.
One/three disadvantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. Beaten by C-rank Water techs or higher.
  • 2. Too simple for a fighter who likes to use more intricate jutsu.
  • 3. Only up to mid range.
How you would use it in battle: I'd use this if my opponent is trapped or immobilized, maybe by an Earth Jutsu. Combine it with wind somehow to extend the range, possibly?

How you would counter it: C-rank Suiton or higher, or an equally/more powerful tech of the same element or equivalent.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):

"Makes you wonder sometimes how such a basic technique such as this is B-rank, huh, sensei?"

I mold Katon chakra in my mouth, spewing a stream of flame breath at Sensei's clone. He poofs away.

"That was anticlimactic."

The range is set to mid-range, nothing will change that. I think.

Good.

(Katon: Honoo no Heki) Fire Release: Flame Wall
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user kneads fire chakra into their forearm and then by swinging their arm in a wave motion they release the fire chakra creating a line of fire that spreads out infront of the user acting as a defensive wall.

Okay first, gather up your katon chakra into your forearm, then by swinging your arm in a wave motion, you'll release the katon chakra, creating a line of fire that spreads out in front of you, acting as a fire wall.

One/three advantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. This 'fire wall' (lol) can defend against up to A-rank wind techs or other elements (except water) up to B-rank.
  • 2. No hand seals, therefore making this a quick jutsu to execute.
  • 3. Can be used to get taijutsu users off my ass if they're too up close and personal.
One/three disadvantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. Is defeated by C-rank water techs.
  • 2. Can't defend against higher level techs, and only covers the front.
  • 3. Fire is intangible compared to something like earth, so maybe solid objects that are strong enough would be able to go through the wall, no problem.
How you would use it in battle: If a taijutsu user was harassing me, I'd create this fire wall to separate us, stopping his assault. Maybe, I could also erect multiple walls to cover my open spots, although that would take up more moves. I could also create this wall behind my opponent, allowing them to fall into a trap if they're not aware of their surroundings.

How you would counter it: I'd use a C-rank water tech or higher, or some higher powered elemental technique. Since this only covers the front of the user, I'd find some way to use a technique that gets them from behind... like maybe a lightning arc that avoids the wall and goes around... or a surprise earth tech that is long ranged and can be manipulated to hit from behind.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):

I knead Katon chakra within my body. Then, I channel it towards my left forearm, feeling the surging sensation as chakra gathers up there. It's hot. When it feels like it's about to burst, I then swipe my arm across, aiming at the ground. It leaves a line of fire that sits in between sensei and myself.

The next moment, a flame wall bursts from the line of fire I had created on the ground. It separates the two of use as it burns, creating a defensive barrier.

(Katon: Hinotama no Mai) - Fire Release: Fireball Dance
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short

Damage points: 40
Description: The user will attack the opponent with a series of slashes with their sword and then finish up with jumping into the air above the target and releasing a powerful fireball down upon them.
Note: Requires a Sword.

Okay, grab out your sword, attack my clone with a series of slashes, then finish up by jumping up into the air and above your target, gather your katon chakra in your mouth, and release a powerful fireball upon your target.

One/three advantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. The opponent will be caught by surprise if they're not expecting the fireball and the leap into the air, leaving them unguarded.
  • 2. Can possibly be used with a clone for increased effect.
  • 3. If the user's sword has special properties, this can be used in a very effective combination!
One/three disadvantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. I need a sword. If I don't have one... maybe I could use a jutsu that creates a sword (like the wind sword technique?)
  • 2. User must be within short range to be able to use this properly.
  • 3. I'm very open when I'm in the air.
How you would use it in battle: If the battle comes up close and personal, I could surprise my enemy with this jutsu to get them off me, or as a finisher! Use a blinding jutsu first, or a smoke bomb... then follow up while the enemy is unguarded.

How you would counter it: If I was a kenjutsu specialist, maybe I could try and disarm my opponent while they're attacking me. Or, if they leap into the air, I could use a jutsu while they're up there, since they have little means to guard themselves while in the air.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):

I go to the tree where I had set down my equipment for the training session. I pick up a sheathed sword and carefully release it from the cover. It's a simple, utilitarian blade, but sharp and efficient. Worthy of most sword wielders.

"Sensei, this sword's a family heirloom. Nothing too special, but my parents gave it to me as their blessing when I became a shinobi."

Gripping the sword, I face sensei's clone. I then charge at him, giving a battle cry.

"Argh!!"

Delivering a series of fierce, untrained blows to sensei's clone's body, at various angles. It was crude, since I had not necessarily trained in the Way of the Sword just yet, but at least my strikes were filled with conviction.

After sensei's clone is slashed up, I then leap up into the air, making a graceful arc and ending up right above the clone's head. Kneading Katon chakra quickly, I then spit out a large fireball that rains down and incinerates the clone, causing it to poof away!

(Sensei, I have a question. For the slashes that I hit my opponent with, do I freeform those in a real battle or can I use actual Kenjutsu techniques that count as my attacks?)

Last B-rank.

(Katon: Yūgana Honoo) - Fire Release: Graceful Flame
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user manipulates their fire chakra and doing the tiger hand seal, shoots an intense fire stream at the opponents feet which then lifts them into the air in the eruption of a column of intense flames. Sasori can replicate this technique through the usage of his fire launcher.

With this one, I want you to gather you chakra in your mouth, then perform the tiger hand seal, from there you will release a fire stream at my clones feet, which will then lift him up into the air, the fire stream will then erupt in a column of intense flames. Range isn't the best for this type of technique, imo.

Apologies for the late reply. And yay!

One/three advantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. This is a powerful, high damage technique.
  • 2. The pillar of flame pushes my opponent up, leaving them open for a follow-up jutsu.
  • 3. Faster than most equivalent jutsu that require more hand seals.
One/three disadvantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. The range sucks. Simple.
  • 2. Making the tiger hand seal can be exploited in the time frame by the opponent if they are sufficiently fast enough or can counter with a jutsu that has no hand seals.
  • 3. I need to be able to aim at my opponent's feet, if not, they won't get caught in the erupting pillar of fire. Useless if my opponent is in the air.
How you would use it in battle: I'd use this if my opponent were immobilized or trapped in some way. Perhaps, while they're performing a jutsu, I could unexpectedly aim this at their feet, or have a clone do so!

How you would counter it: The range is horrible, so the primary way to make sure this doesn't hit me is to stay out of range. Furthermore, being up in the air, where my opponent can't aim for my feet (since it needs to have solid ground for the pillar to erupt) works wonders as well.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):

Gathering Katon chakra in my mouth, I mold it and perform the Ram hand seal. I then release a long, connected stream of fire from my mouth, similar to a dragon's breath. I aim this breath at the clone sensei had created. It hits the clone's feet and lifts him up. Suddenly, a violent pillar of flame erupts upwards, incinerating the poor sap and causing it to disperse.

"I almost feel sorry for your clones, sensei. Don't you feel what they experience after they poof away?"

(Katon: Shageki Bisuketto) – Fire Release: Firing Biscuit technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive, supplementary
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: After performing the needed hand seals Rat → Dragon → Boar the user then creates powerful flames inside the giant oven created by Lightning Release: Sixteen pillar bind, cooking the opponent until their burnt. Its normally used together with Earth Release: Mud fall to harden the mud covering the enemy, immobilizing them.
Note: Can only be used in the collaboration of Lightning Release: Sixteen Pillar Bind

^^^^^^ I only ask cause of this technique, but when you learn the lighting technique, I'll teach you this.

----

(Katon: Zukokku) - Fire Release: Intelligent Hard Work
Rank: A
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: The user after performing the required hand seals Rat → Dog → Tiger fires a small fireball that erupts into a giant fire-storm after making contact with a surface, causing widespread destruction to the area. Since the flames travel along the ground, and cover such a wide area this is a difficult technique to evade. When combined with Wind Release: Pressure Damage, this technique is amplified to the point of being able to evaporate a large amount of water in an instant.

Perform the required seals, at the same time I want you to gather up your katon chakra in your mouth, from there I want you to release a small fireball, once it makes contact with any type of surface it will erupt into a huge fire-storm. this technique is hard to avoid, since the flames travel along the ground [doesn't go long range so easy in that sense]. This technique and using Wind Release: Pressure Damage will make it so powerful, that it can evaporate a large amount of water in an instant.

Ok, I will be sure to let you know when I learn the technique, sensei.

One/three advantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. Causes a very large firestorm that is hard to avoid.
  • 2. Severely damaging and an A-rank jutsu, meaning it's far more potent.
  • 3. When combined with a wind technique, not just the one the one listed in the description, it can counter water techniques, their natural weakness! And the name of the tech is pretty badass too.
One/three disadvantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. Large AoE, but the fireball's range isn't perfect.
  • 2. Hand seals are time consuming for a non-specialist.
  • 3. The fireball needs to make contact with a surface of some kind, so that can be countered.
How you would use it in battle: Pretty much the same way as the description. I looked up this technique; it's the one that Kakuzu used. Maybe I could use this in conjunction with clones. Have one clone fire this tech and the other one fire the Wind Release: Pressure Damage technique, to combine them to form a huge inferno.

How you would counter it: I'd try to move out of range with some form of supplementary jutsu. Otherwise, I could also use a water technique to surround/flood our arena with water, so when the fireball hits the surface, it simply goes out instead of actually igniting.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):

Kneading Katon chakra in my body, I then perform the sequence of hand seals Rat → Dog → Tiger, molding it into a small globule of fire that puffs up my cheeks within my mouth. I then spit it out, in such a way that it quickly flies in a straight line towards the ground, since I aimed it at an angle. When it makes contact with the ground, it erupts into a huge blazing firestorm.

Honestly, the area where sensei was teaching me was pretty much deforested and scorched at this point. Pyro would have been proud.

Great!

(Katon: Keshi Makuga Hara) - Fire Release: Exploding Flame Crater
Rank: A
Type: Offense
Range: Mid-Long
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: The user first stomps on the ground, using his fire chakra and making an underground tunnel from between themselves and the opponent. They then breathe out fire into the tunnel, causing the fire carry rock and other debris with it as it travels, melting them. With a single hand seal, the molten rock debris will erupt from the ground underneath the opponent, engulfing them and burning them alive.

This is almost a lava technique of it's own. I want you to stomp the ground below you, and by sending you fire chakra to your feet as you stomp, the fire should make a underground tunnel of sorts between you, and my clone. I then want you to gather up some fire chakra in your mouth, then release it in the tunnel between you and my clone, rocks and earth will be collected on it's way towards my clone, so molten rocks will erupt from the tunnel as well, as burning them alive.

One/three advantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. This jutsu has an awesome range.
  • 2. Large scale and has the ability to take care of multiple targets or larger ones, such as summonings.
  • 3. The eruptions can have an element of surprise, coming out when and where the opponent least expects it.
One/three disadvantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. It seems like this jutsu takes quite a while to create and perform, making it harder to use in quicker battles.
  • 2. The opponent is able to see the formation of the tunnel and therefore able to counter accordingly; multi-step process.
  • 3. Bad if used in short range; will get burned, literally.
How you would use it in battle: Perhaps I'd have clones prepared the turn before to increase the speed of this technique. Otherwise, I'd need to find a way to try and perform this technique in such a way where I can control the battlefield.

Sensei, I have a question. Can I wait to use the hand seal to cause the eruptions? So, for example, I could set up the flaming tunnel in one turn, and have it erupt at a later turn?

How you would counter it: Standard large scale water techniques should be able to douse the fire out. Maybe I could use water to flush it within the tunnel, prevent the flames from lighting up the rocks. Furthermore, I could use a large-scale Earth technique to try and contain the eruptions, or defend myself against them. If already confronted with the erupting molten rocks, I'd resort to some form of protective/evasion technique. Lightning would work well here since the rocks are Earth and are defeated by lightning techniques.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):

Once again gathering Katon chakra, this time, I channel it through my foot. Then, I perform a stomping motion on the ground, releasing a large billow of flame through the Earth. This causes the Earth to bulge and heat up, between myself and Sensei's clone. This moves the rocks and debris, compressing and melting it, forming molten boulders underneath in the tunnel.

Then, performing a single hand seal, the tunnel bursts, erupting with molten rocks, that fly towards sensei's clone, smashing and burning him until he poofs away!

Answer: I don't think that is allowed, well you could. But each one would be counted as a move.

(Katon: Hokori Tenka no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Dust Ignition Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user will first ignites a flame of fire across the ground infront of them and then they will enhance that fire with a gust of wind to extend the range of the fire

So with this one, I want you to simply spew out some fire across the ground in front of you, from there I want you to use a simple wind technique, to enhance the fire with a wind gust to extend the range and power of the fire. But yet it still only goes up to mid-range. Not one of the most used techniques and I can understand why.

Sensei, I just learned the Lightning Release: Sixteen Pillar Bind Technique, courtesy of super senpai Noni! You can teach me that technique you were telling me about now ^^

One/three advantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. The fire-wind combination is pretty strong if used correctly.
  • 2. A-rank so it defeats the strongest wind techniques relatively easily.
  • 3. The fire on the ground can serve as a distraction technique, perhaps.
One/three disadvantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. Seems pretty generic for an A-rank technique.
  • 2. I could do the same thing with a weaker technique that costs less chakra.
  • 3. Even with the extended range, it only goes up to mid-range.
How you would use it in battle: I personally think this technique's effectiveness completely hinges on what specific wind technique the user combines with this jutsu.

Sensei, question. If you were to use a wind technique, which one do you think would be best?

How you would counter it: Water techniques; higher ranked Earth protective techniques. I could counter with the same move, mirroring my enemy like a parrot. Allowing myself to move to long range using some other techniques would be helpful as well.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):

I had simply mastered gathering my Katon chakra within myself. I then release a spew of fire across the ground, sweeping the stream of flame back and forth. Then, I gather Futon chakra within my hands, and make a slashing motion, performing this technique:

(Fūton: Kaze Shingai) - Wind Release: Wind Terror
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user unleashes a wave of wind that slashes at the opponent by swinging their hand or hands.

This causes the fire to be pushed forward at mid range, enhancing the cutting power of the wind slashes by imbuing them with fire.

"That was pretty... easy."

Alright! And, good!

(Katon: Shageki Bisuketto) – Fire Release: Firing Biscuit technique

Description: After performing the needed hand seals Rat → Dragon → Boar the user then creates powerful flames inside the giant oven created by Lightning Release: Sixteen pillar bind, cooking the opponent until their burnt. Its normally used together with Earth Release: Mud fall to harden the mud covering the enemy, immobilizing them.
Note: Can only be used in the collaboration of Lightning Release: Sixteen Pillar Bind

I want you to perform Lightning Release: Sixteen pillar bind then from there I want you to perform the required seals, that will create flames in the radius of Sixteen Pillar Bind, cook your target alive, along with shocking them in the process. You can als use Mud fall, to cover the target, the fire will harden the mud, thus not allowing movement from the target.

Whee, thanks!

One/three advantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. This jutsu "bakes" an enemy trapped by the bind; simple, yet effective.
  • 2. A-ranked so it easily fodderizes any wind jutsus the opponent may use to counter the sixteen pillars.
  • 3. A very useful combination technique, as per the description.
One/three disadvantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. Can only be used with the Sixteen Pillar Bind Technique, a major handicap, in my opinion.
  • 2. Hand seals can be a crutch
  • 3. As a standalone technique, it really isn't effective; I see this more as a supplementary/combination technique of sorts.
How you would use it in battle: Honestly, other than the techniques and strategies listed in the description, there really isn't a way to incorporate it into other combinations without its compliments. Very restricting, really.

How you would counter it: I'd first find a way to destroy the Sixteen-Pillar bind, that way, this technique cannot be subsequently used. If it was too late for that, perhaps a large Earth/Water combination should be sufficient to protect me from the shocking/burning assault.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):

I begin by performing a set of four hand seals, creating a set of sixteen giant pillars which encircle myself and sensei. They crackle with residual Lightning energy.

(Raiton: Jurokuchu Shibari) – Lightning Release: Sixteen-Pillar Bind
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: After performing the needed hand seals Rat ? Monkey ? Horse ? Tiger the user will create a even more powerful version of lightning release: four pillar bind, the user creates sixteen giant pillars, which then form a giant oven to trap the enemy. It is often used after Earth Release: Mud Fall to cover the enemy target in mud and then follow up with using Fire release: Firing Biscuit, creating flames in the oven to roast and harden the mud, immobilizing the enemy.

Then, I leap up, standing on top of one of the pillars, looking down on sensei below, who was observing as I was performing the technique. I form the hand seals Rat → Dragon → Boar as I gather Katon chakra and create flames within the enclosure, which acts as an insulating oven, creating a powerful blaze, and alongside the shocking attacks from the pillars, results in a fierce, powerful combination attack.

Swell.

(Katon: Gōka no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Hellfire Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 30

Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and breath out from their mouth a large fireball that travels at the opponent. As it reaches the opponent it bursts into a maelstrom of fire engulfing them in flames.

Now I want you to gather a large amount of katon chakra in your mouth, then release it in the form of a large fireball, they fireball will travel towards my clone, as soon as it makes contact with my clone it will burst into a maelstrom of flames, everyone tends to love this technique, would be perfect if it went long range.

One/three advantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. A-rank technique so it does plenty of damage if it connects.
  • 2. Defeats up to S-rank wind techniques.
  • 3. No need for hand seals and it seems pretty quick to perform.
One/three disadvantages (no obvious ones, be creative):

  • 1. It would be perfect if it went long range XD
  • 2. Big, conspicuous, and easy to counter.
  • 3. Water techniques of B-rank and above are its bane. Higher ranked Earth techniques are also viable to use.
How you would use it in battle:

Perhaps I'd have multiple clones do this in battle, which would force my opponent on the defensive, or evade. I'd then take advantage of that opening to follow up with an attack that hits them from there. Maybe, when the maelstrom whips up, I could follow up with a wind technique to increase the power of the

How you would counter it:

Water techniques. Maybe, I could counter with an Earth technique that erupts from the ground, redirecting the fireball upwards!

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):

Gathering Katon chakra in my mouth, I apply shape transformation to form it into a spherical shape. I then expel the flames from my mouth, in a conical fashion that molds into a huge fireball that quickly flies over and makes contact with sensei's clone, causing a large explosion that releases a maelstrom of swirling flames that incinerate the poor clone.
