hey guys i keep hearing a lot about it...
what is a canon manga....
i checked but there is no such genre....

canon means the "real story."
manga is canon because the base of naruto series is manga. however anime isn't as much of a canon compared to manga. because anime has fillers and movies that in someway contradict the manga.
the databooks are also canon because the series' writer writes them
and so on...

well cannon isnt a genre it means in a wider sense of the word the most trustworthy source,the "official one"the one the author has complete control
the manga is revered has the ultimate cannon...followed by databooks...
the anime discunting filliers folows and filliers and movies are never called cannon

canon means stuff that is actually true in terms of the story for example all the naruto manga is canon because it is true to the story not a spin off or a movie
