I would like to start role playing but I do not know where to start.

This should get you started.
I suggest you make your biography all by yourself. That way, you have a (duh of course) very detailed knowledge of your character, what he/she is capable of and a picture and a feeling of it when you use it. And most importantly, you get the first hand idea how the whole biography system goes and prevents further confusion.
And you get a darn good feeling, when you actually put effort and time to your bio and make it wide, neat and good looking, people will give nice feedback for it and it makes you feel good ^_^
And if there ever is anything you need to ask and something that bothers you about it, simply ask someone via VM. I am sure, that everyone who is familiar with the issue at hand, they will give you all the information needed.
But a slight warning. There are a lot of members who have no idea of the rules and regulations, so be careful who you ask and what they tell you. It is always wise to ask several people.

I hope this was helpful and if there is anything, anything at all you need to ask, give me a VM without any hesitation.

Listen to the wise lady. She is right. Not all people who might offer to do you a bio will be able to do one properly.
