Yeah, @bold that was a lie. Someone who draws them, and thinks over their design from their parents can never forget the Byakugan. Especially on Himawari since she looks like Hinata. But maybe, since they were Uzumaki he didn't intend to give them full Byakugan. Plus, the full Byakugan is ugly, so...

I think he has a partial Byakugan which can be activated and deactivated represented by shifting eyes from blue to white and white to blue respectively.
