i can tell you i started it some time in november and it just gets better and better to be honest i thought it was a lame kiddy show at first it wasnt veery good but i am at the enel part and its getting better and i hear good things about later on so im gonna stick it out if you have a hell of a lot of free time check it out

First time I saw it I thought OP is some shitty 2nd rate anime and the main protagonist is some skinny punk screaming like a retard all the time. It might look good to OP fans but it looks shitty to new people.

Simple, generic explanations might not work too because it all sounds silly at first. Rubber-man, pirates, shitty goal etc.

You need to put more thought in it if you want to convert Narutards to OP.

I edited the post and mentioned that it might look good to senior fans but when you look at it the first time the animation is worse than in the first dragon ball episodes and there's really not much to see. Fights look boring, main protagonist is screaming like an idiot all the time, characters are looking horrible bcs he's using clips from first episodes and making them look even worse with his effects. You can't possibly argue with that.

the Main Character is called Luffy. he aquired powers that makes him a rubberman. his dream is to be a pirate king and his ambitions is that of Naruto wanting to be hokage. though he doesnt want to do it to be acknowledged, he wants it just out of pure thrill, fun and adventure.

he goes out to sea on his own, making tons of friends and a few crew members on the way. the whole crew is hilarious and you will be finding yourslef laughing and shitting your pants in every other page. the characters have their own personalities and each one plays a key role and key part to the teams overall perfomance and success. everyone is powerful in their own respective field and way of fighting. its not like DBZ or Naruto where the fate of the world rests on the shoulders of 1 or 2 people.. its a group effort here.

the battles are dragged like DBZ but if you're a fan of DBZ than its nothing to you lol. though long, the battles are epic and have you on the edge of your seats after every page flip.

One Piece has about 650 chapters and its only in its half way point. unlike DBZ which ended after like 200? Naruto is nearing its end with around 500 something? with OP it always feel like the story is just beginning..

you will love it.. i recommend reading the manga as well.. worth it!
