Yes, minato was said to be the best genius that konoha produced by hiruzens student jiraya. Tsunade saw Perfect Susanoo and was amazed at how somebody(hashirama) fought this and survived, even though she knew her master in his prime fightin at war.
Orochimaru DIDN'T use edo tensei's at their full power, kabuto did. So that was not hashirama's wood full strength. Proof is how edo madara uses the wood U_U You can't possibly tell me that hiruzen is stronger than hashirama and tobirama


I know hiruzen is strong, I have a feeling that the sarutobi clan can learn pple's jutsu just like konohamaru learnt naruto's clones nd rasengan, asuma's fire tech and shadow bunshin.
Pls dnt say its just a movie bcos I watched the part 3 movie again and saw those 3 kekke genkai pple in the war fightin kakashi's group.
But knowin pples jutsu in konoha doesn't make you the strongest, proof is kakashi knows 1000 jutsu but still not a top 10 ninja.

Old Hiru> Hashi+ Tobirama + Orochimaru
Then: Old Hiru >>>> EMS Madara
Also: Prime Hiru>= Rinnegan Madara

Idk but, Tobi said Hashirama was the strongest during his time and Madara said Hashirama is the only one that can beat him. 1. Tobi was acting as Madara and he could honestly give 0 shits about him.
2. Madara obviously has a raging hard on for Hashirama. Don't ask me if they were ever in a former relationship because I'd probably say yes. Nonetheless, Hashirama is stronger than Hiruzen since he has cocks raising for him left and right. I'm joking though.

In my opinion Hashi>Hiruzen. Why? because when oro used the senju bros they were under their FULL control. Their fighting style was Oro's so they dont have free will, they could talk but not use their will to fight. But when kabuto used the edos i THINK he gave them like 25% choice of what to do because if he was using Madara then how did he know that he has Meteor summon or something like that when Kabuto is WAAAAAAAAAAYYYY younger than madara. Kabuto didnt know that he has meteor

Wow guys. both sides need to chill and look at all possibilities, some of you made valid points. First off Madara wouldn't know about Hiruzen or Minato (minato was said to be tied with Hiruzen so thats another argument right there). Hiruzen was trained by both Hashirama and Tobirama so he knows there fighting abilities, this was shown when he countered their ever move. I don't think Orochimaru mastered edo tensei but Kabuto did so all 3 weren't at their best. And it is a shame that those who listed Hashirama's abilities fail to remember that its not the jutsus that makes one powerful, it's there guts to never give up and the way they use their jutsus. Hiruzen was said to have over 1000 jutsus (like the senju clan), was called the professor because he had extreme knownledge about many things like jutsus, strategies, ect...

If hurizen is better than hashi why didnt he just take control of the ninetails instead of minato sacrificing himsel. Hell why not take down tobi. If hurizen was that great you are saying he would have stood a chance against Madara. I dont remember any repots of hurizen battles changing entire landscapes. A guy who can summon entire jungles and forests

Point being in the past Kishi may have wanted Hurizen portrayed as the strongest now he is making hashi and madara to be god like figures

I cant even see hurizen beating the third kazekage, most akatsuki members, third raikage, fourth mizukage, second mizukage, or mu, can even see him beating the gold and silver brothers

First of all Hiruzen vs Hashirama. Never happened. It was Oro vs Hiruzen foo. Unlike Kabuto who can let the edo tensei have some free will, Oro's version completely bound them to his will. He controlled every movement of theirs.
Also I like how you conveniently choose to ignore one thing. Oro was just toying with the old man. It would have been a much shorter fight had he been serious.
Oh and that data book statement. The databook just repeats what characters say. Only character has said Hiruzen is the strongest Hokage. Iruka. Nuff said.

Yes Oro perfected Edo tensei and the Edos were at full power. But you're forgetting something. Unlike Kabuto's version, Oro had to control every movement of the edos. So it was basically Oro with Hashi's powers not Hashi himself. And there's one more thing you guys conveniently ignore. Oro was toying with Hiruzen. The fight would have ended very quickly had Oro been serious.

Seeing as Madara knows Nagato is safe to assume he lived through Hiruzen's so called prime.
