We see the tailed beasts behind naruto's head then the rinnegan eyes behind him as well. Is this hinting at a future connection with the beasts. Is naruto attempting to communicate with the beasts inside the ten tails telekinetically to calm and control them? Is he slowly awakening the rinnegan (I know its absurd)?

This has to add something to the story line besides confusing thoughts.

No he didnt, it was from the perspective of the Juubi. It probably just assumed they were all in there or it was just remembering all of them even though shukakus chakra wasnt present.

Its probably foreshadowing something and naruto probably reminds the juubi of the sage, or naruto might be the reincarnation of the sage, I don't really like the idea of him getting rinnegan but that's a possibility.
What if the juubi choses naruto to be his host instead of obito? that would be interesting, maybe the juubi actually can think for himself like the other beasts.

The SO6P told the baby bijuus that someday they will reunite and be as one under someone. Naruto received all bijuus chakra and their trust, so he reminded the juubi of rikudou. I personally think, like many others, that naruto is the second rikudou, as seen when naruto firstly came in kcm mode: when kurama was restrained with the gates, he said something like "What, Rikudou?!".

Too add my own thoughts to the conversation; I believe that Naruto is going to play a major roll into calming and stabilizing the ten tails, but not become their host. Naruto becoming their host would simply make him so extremely overpowered. If that were to happen, the only next step that would make sense is if Sasuke gets double rinnegan powers by stealing Madara's eyes, and they both Naruto and sasuke end up fighting on the moon.
We also have to consider if the series is going to continue after this arc. If it is, then Naruto can not become this omega power figure. He has to loss power somehow. If this were to happen, I think Naruto will loss the 9 tails.
