I never said "Naruto fooled Madara". I just meant clones in general, like Hashi's clone. Obviously Madara saw through Naruto's shadow clone; I've been agreeing with everyone that Madara saw right through it. That's why I asked about the manga's inconsistencies in the OT.

Neji already said he couldn't tell which one was the real Naruto, shadow clone evenly splits chakra amongst all the clones

. Kaguya didn't even know which was the real Naruto, they had to rely on looking for the one with the TSB but Naruto moved them to a clone to trick Kaguya, Sasuke, Obito, Sakura, and Kakashi in Naruto getting hit by the ash bone.

And as for the case of naruto and his shadow clones XxLapizxLazulixX has explained it perfectly

That's not Naruto's clones, that's all shadow clones which is why only Naruto spams clones. Kakashi mentions how shadow clones splits your chakra evenly while he's telling Naruto how he can use it to speed up his training

Neji deactivated his Byakugan when he was lawding over Naruto. Tha'ts why he was taken by surprise. He let his guard down. If you recall that same fight when Naruto first did Kage Bushin, Neji bypassed the other clones and went right for Naruto directly commenting that Naruto couldn't hide from his Byakugan with clones as he could see his chakra points.

he thought he knew which was the real Naruto by noticing all but 1 Naruto stood in the back but that was a clone that Naruto used to trick Neji

Neither the Sharigan,Rinnegan nor Byakugan can tell the difference in a shadow clone over its ben shown and demonstrated in the Manga over and over again and again.

Since Neither Byakugan/Sharingan nor the Rinnegan has proven to be able to see through Shadow clones it comes down to battle instinct and Observing your Opponent.

Slight difference in Behavior and such can give it away. Sometimes it's obvious and some times it's not.

No Sharingan only sees the color of chakra, which is why they are blinded by the Hidden mist jutsu. Clones all look the same color as the original so Sharingan cannot differentiate between them. The only Doujutsu that can diphicer between shadow clone and real is the Byakugan.

That being said, Sasuke knows Naruto well enough to rely on other senses when dealing with Shadow Clones so it isn't all that difficult for him to peg the real Naruto.

Madaras sharingan could see through hashirama wood clone. Wood clone is by far superior to naruto's clones. But when madara fought hashirama he couldn't see it anymore lulz. Plot, probably will happen to sasuke.

I agree with what you're saying for the most part. I don't think any dojutsus can see the difference, but Madara noticed just by looking at Naruto and they had never even met before, so Madara didn't know Naruto's p[ersonality, habits, etc. Maybe there is something that Madara knows that others don't?

dojutsu cannot distinguish between clones and the real thing. the byakugan is the best dojutsu to do this and it also can't be done because clones split the chakra evenly. madara claimed to be able to distinguish between hashi's clones, but that was bull. he did correctly say that naruto had a clone in front of him at that one time, but there could have been a reason for that. but kaguya couldn't even distinguish between clones.

I think that's probably madara ms ability, he seen through mokuton clones and kage bunshins.
