You were right about the perceive part. Obito cannot see the shadows unless he posses Rinnegan.

The shadows can't touch him when he is intangible, that's rather the point. The time limit is definately less than 5 minutes, since naruto and sasuke couldn't have been fighting him for 5 minutes that time they found out it has a time limit.

his intangibility only lasts 5 minutes and he needs to stop the intangibility to do something to madara.. he will lose no matter what..

Never. I was talking about when he was juubi jin. I dont think the technique works any different when he is juubi jin, just that the shadows are stronger.

TO be more precice, i didn'e realise that i had never specified Madara in any of my other posts. Yes, limbo has a time limit which is shorter than 5 minutes.

If Obito can't see the Limbo clones, he has no way of knowing if it is active or not. Madara can test if Kamui is active by trying to attack Obito and seeing if he passes through it. And ranged Kamui isn't going to get Madara.

Madara already knows how Kamui works from watching Kakashi and Obito use both variants. Obito doesn't know about Limbo.
