Can Naruto surpass Minato?

I say he has surpassed him already.
In power, Rasen Shuriken completed his original technique then he went to Sage Mode/Nine Tails Mode. With Nine Tails Mode Naruto is fast enough, he doesn't need to teleport. He is also in control of the seal Minato gave him, signifies he doesn't need him anymore to babysit him - surpassed.
Now those who say Naruto is not intelligent. Don't look at Naruto from the outside and take his goofy ways for stupidity. He is in fact very smart, with both strategical in battle and about life itself. Look how he changed the way people think about life (Neji, Nagato, Zabuza, Inari, Gaara). I'd say he's pretty wise especially for his age.
Now Naruto hasn't got the experience Minato has of course, but that will come in time. Otherwise than that he surpassed him.

Minatos by far best techs were FTG and after that his Fuinjutsu
also Rasengan is perfect for Minato because of his instant FTG since Rasengan is instant aswell ... so he could attack in a split second

Just the Part were Naruto has Ninetails
Minato cant compare to that,He doesnt stand a chance
It wouldve been fair to say if Minato was a ninetails Jinchuriki but
Naruto controlled it better
Yet we cant say that cause Minato wouldnt have gotten the Ninetails anyway!
So ok but Minato's got FTG Body Flicker etc......and compare that with Kyuubi Modes Speed i say Wrong because
Naruto can learn all that,Heck he could improve it!
via his Multi Shadow Training (what would take somebody years to learn will take naruto weeks)
So thats why i think its fair to say
'Minato didnt have the ninetails so you cant really compare'
Anyways with the way Naruto is going he is going to raise the bar so high he's gonna give the First Hokage a run for his money

I see what you mean about the nine tails thing dude ok since this started with my orginal post, I'll change something. Lets not say he surpassed Minato... yet, but in some areas he did surpass him so that would make Naruto equal to Minato at the moment?

I think he has already surpassed Minato with or without nine-tails control. He isnt as intelligent has Minato but he does have jutsu such as rasenshiruken in his arsenal (which the fourth hokage couldn't use since he was unable to add the chakra in nature).
Naruto has already surpassed minato but minato fanboys just won't admit it......

AFAIK this proves that minato has been surpassed by his own son which he himself wanted. Naruto is the only shinobi who can challenge sasuke and tobi period

naruto can surpass him , he needs experience , but his chakra > minatos chakra speed is almost super sonic, he could keep up with ftg for like 1 hour then evenrtually die down , hes about as smart when it comes to battle strategy,all he needs to do is learn ftg and tbb and hes surpassed him , not just that but kyuubi said " is this the sage of six paths" when he got sealed back up after naruto got chakra mode... so naruto may get the other bijuu in order to beat tobi.... and he has potential for rinnegan because hes come in contact with uchihas so many times he may now have some uchiha blood and uchiha + senju/uzumaki = rinnegan , and kushinas chakra is the same as narutos chakra so he may get chakra chains , but he would surpass rikudo then , i think he will get either ; ftg and chakra chains or he will just get rinnegan

Minato fanboys are such scum,when a sentence hypes Minato up they take literally,I.e 4th raikage saying minato was unsurpassable,but when another character I.e Fukasaku states that naruto had surpassed his predecessors they don't take it literally

He may have already surpassed him but I don't think we know enough about Minato's abilities to say for certain. We know Minato had FTG and Fuinjutsu but I suspect he had more tham this.
Then who gives a shit if he hasn't shown more,he's good as dead in the Reapers belly and won't come back again,so we judge by what we see
and form what we've seen Naruto>Minato any day...what minato has going for him is intelligence and it won't help him as long as he doesn't have the means to capitalize on
I wonder tough why this special treatment is given only to Minato,he's a feat lacking character,but still he gets pitted against the likes of ninja who have 10 times his manga panels to boost actual feats from and not hype(fan invented feats)
If Minato fanboyism wasn't as bad as it is it would enable the shallow minded to realize that he's just a side character/role model/benchmark for the main character,main character which as already accomplished the task
