Can Naruto series reach the legendary status that is Dragon Ball and One Piece ?

Naruto is more popular than One Piece WorldWide, by a lot.

I won't even talk about the popularity of Dragon Ball Z WorldWide.

And OP sells so much above DBZ is because DBZ was over a long time ago, everyone saw it in the past man, and Anime wasn't such a "Huge" deal as right now back in DBZ Prime days.

Naruto has the most interesting story to me out of all Mangas and Animes I've seen ( There's a lot ), so it is legendary in a way, I like Badass Characters like Madara, and the whole story is/was very well written, because currently, with Kaguya introduced Naruto is nowhere near Legendary in Story, it went DOWNHILL so much compared to it's prime. So Kishimoto has to step it up and End the Series in the right way.

On the other hand why is One Piece "Legendary". It has terrible, terrible drawing style, like everything is so ugly there, the story is kinda appealing, but get's repetetive, maybe that's just because the Anime/Manga is so old and it's been going for so many years and unlike Naruto it got real Boring real Fast. Also the Character telling there is strange, for example in my Eyes Luffy is nowhere decent Main Character.

Exactly why I believe One Piece is overrated.

Worldwide ? the biggest manga market outside japan and Asia is France and One Piece rule France

outside japan ? yes but manga has always been Big in japan since the 70's
One Piece still sell more than Dragon Ball in japan, they sell more Volume with less time, it only took one piece 9 years to surpass Drgaon Ball sales,

dbz is such a great series that even after being off for a while it still sells really well xd I think naruto is already on one piece level but just in different aspects lol dbz level is something else though XD

Lets see...Naruto games sell more then DBZ games. Naruto is more popular then OP world wide. Naruto is Viz Medias 2nd or 3rd top content bare none accounting for more then 10% of their overall bottom line. Naruto iirc is the first manga to get praised by American critics and win the first award of a manga (might be wrong). Naruto is always and always has been in the top 5 manga of japan. Not only are they giving kishimoto the chance to expand his story past the end of the manga but the shonen jump amusement park opened up and mainly/only features NAruto, OP, and DBZ. If that wasn't enough, at EoS before "The Last: Naruto the Movie" is released, Naruto is getting a muesem dedicated to it in Japan.

Idk were the hell the OP has been for the last 13 years, but Naruto is already legendary among other manga and is always more then not affiliated with any project associated with DBZ and OP that deals with the company that distributes them unless it's a anime studio thing like with OP, DBZ, and toriko.

I don't really believe that Naruto will reach the levels of those series to be honest. I think that in this generation the only manga to reach that will be One Piece and Detective Conan. I'm not seeing Studio Pierrot spending money to make continuous movies after the anime/manga ended,

The Last Naruto Movie Road To Ninja only sold $17,635,872. For a comparison, One Piece Movie Z sold 77,822,122 and Dragon Ball battle of Gods sold 50,353,002, continuing the anime series(The TV ratings are below the Top 10 and normally below 3 average household ratings),

the manga will probably only have a special Kanzenban edition(Even Dragon Ball basically only has that. Well, it seems that right now is publishing an All coloring volumes too), probably after 5 to 10 years. The games seem to be the only thing grabbing Naruto, but I don't believe only that will be able to keep the franchise alive for much time and I don't really now how the games sell, just the popularity in the west, so it can very well be that the games aren't that popular in Japan(something that I don't believe because of the variety of games made by Japan).

Get your facts straight, maybe there's One Piece regions, but Naruto is far more known and more popular WorldWide than One Piece, so is Dragon Ball Z and that is a fact. U_U

Pirate theme and Disney style fighting was a novelty for Japan. Europeans also get excited to see the references of their countries in it. So it really comes down to personal likings.

OP volume 12 was released in February 2, 2000

Naruto first volume was released in March 3, 2000

Naruto started later on and is going to finish first. It has to share and grab market with that competition already. OP already had sold 12 volumes before Naruto's first one.

Someone mentioned 18 years..18 years and only half is really not an endorsement for everyone... you know. Good for OP though.

What I don't get why OP fans are always posting threads about manga sales in Naruto boards instead of discussing OP in OP sections. Not enough material to discuss despite more pages?
