-In addition to this he has the perfect offense (Totsuka).
-If you look at him directly in the eyes you're already under his spell.
-If you try to avoid eye contact and look at his midriff, you're getting caught in a genjutsu.
-If you try to avoid eye contact with both his eyes and his midriff, you're getting toe genjutsu'd.
-If you shut your eyes completely, you're still getting genjutsu'd (Inzanami).

How exactly do you defeat Itachi? No wonder Kaguya (via Black Zetsu) called him invincible.
