Can Itachi starve people to death in his tsukiyomi?

Itachi controls space and time and it is implied that he can kill with tsukiyami...so how can he kill? could he starve his opponent to death in his world and have teh effects carry into teh real world? also i think he should have made rin stab wakashi for 3 days straight to mentally torture him more...

True but we’ve seen people controlled by Genjutsu over long periods of time. If someone was being controlled and made to stay in one place long enough I could see them dying of starvation/dehydration.

Only problem with this is it assumes the Jutsu won’t be broken by someone else or undone by the caster.

Not in the Genjutsu, however if Itachi was able to keep someone trapped in a Genjutsu for more than three days (in real time, not in the genjutsu) then yes they would still die due to lack of water.

But the only way that would happen is if someone wasn't around to break them out of the Genjutsu. And if that was the case, then Itachi would more than likely know that they would end up dying. And lets be real, if Itachi wanted to kill someone he wouldn't do it by placing them in a Genjutsu

Problem is he can't withstand holding it that long due to his chakra reserves and the fact that he would go blind.

Tsukuyomi is called Tsukuyomi realm by Itachi. He teleports his opponent into his world, a world he created and has control over matter and space and Time. Its not a simple genjutsu, it behaves like a physical attack, look at how Kisame says it can break your spirit/soul. It can attack the mind and spirit (Sasuke was shown an illusion, Kakashi's soul was tormented.) Itachi even said to kakashi "Its best not to think of this jutsu like an illusion..." which means physical tormentation is possible with Tsukuyomi. Controlling matter means Itachi can control the molecules in Kakashi's body and deconstruct it, killing him in the process. This jutsu is underestimated. It will one shot even Kaguya and Momoshiki.

Yes he can. Tsukuyomi can torment mentally and make one forcibly see stuff like happened to sasuke, Itachi can make kakashi see a desert filled with sand and make him feel searing heat, and make him thirsty and starve by default.

Theoretically yes. Itachi can do anything within the Tsuki he makes you experience false sensations at a higher level 3 days worth in mere seconds. If we go by the novel the Tsuki isn't limited to 3 days itachi controls the amount of time you spend in there.
