This manga's stakes and threats are warped if any Itachi/Minato/Kakashi level can just up and solo the big final threat. Can we not be stupid please, actual application showed that this thing tore through the assembly of the entire Shinobi Alliance & the greatest revived ninja from history.

The Juubi itself was a being known for its incredible power which enabled it to easily overpower BM Naruto and BM Bee and later occupied the entire Shinobi Alliance as well which even forced the Alliance to resort to attacking the "Mind" of the Juubi rather than the Juubi itself. Itachi has no avenue to victory here and the fact that merely Kurama's chakra was conceptually impossible to seal away through Shiki Fujin due to its enormous chakra makes it inconceivable for Itachi to accomplish such a feat through the Totsuka blade.

The most that was ever done to the 10 Tails in it's rabid state was what Naruto and the Alliance no Jutsu did to it in the anime and the 4 Hokage restricting it. That's Hashirama Senju btw- who seems to be the only character to take the beast seriously.
