Can Gai dodge Amaterasu?

That's reasonable, I think 5 or 6 should be the minimum.

Yeah I'm thinking the same. But can't Lee go 5 gates, is it a stretch to say Lee can't dodge Amaterasu? It might be..

I agree with that. Gai would have to be prepared sense he is not a sensor. He would have to take the same route as A in order to dodge.

Hm, I think that's fair to say. We didn't see 7th Gate Gai til after Raikage proclaimed himself to be the fastest man alive, so I wonder if that statement holds true. It's debatable but we can't really tell from what we know, we need someone who's seen both their speeds to really make that confirmation. As for my opinion, I think so.

It does seen odd that a ninja like Gai can dodge such an OP move, I'll admit to that which is what brought about this thread for me. But Gai has some superb speed and reflexes, probably top 5 in the manga in this. I think if Gai is prepared in 5 or 6 Gates above, he can pull it off. He's not a sensor though so if he loses focus, Super Bushy Brows will burn :devil:

It is said that opening the Eight Gate of Death place Might Gai on Kage-level or higher. It would mean that place his speed greater than equal to the Fourth Raikage A Raiton Armor/Body Flicker.
