Can a summoning animal make you Kage level in your opinion?

Exactly..Your skills make you kage level not your summons. Sakura can do kage like feats because of her summon, but that does not make her kage level.

Sakura is Kage-level because she is nearly indentical to her Hokage mentor, Tsunade. Not just her Katsuyu summon.

It really depends on the summoning animal, because more often than not just the summons alone can be countered somehow. Kakashi summons dogs and that doesn't make him Kage level. Gai can summon a tortoise, again same situation. The more powerful summons may provide people with Kage level feats but if the only ability they possessed was summoning alone then they wouldn't be Kage level. Summons can contribute to it, however.

The beast doesn't have necessarily have a level, but having a certain beast can propel the contract owner to Kage level.

Like if Konohamaru were to have Enma, he would anally rape several Kage. Does that make him a Kage level ninja though he himself doesn't possess the necessary skill set? That's the question.

the thing is, katsuyu is virtually indestructible, pain's jutsu, naruto's corroding acid did nothing to it, even the small palm size katsuyu, it was only shown dead when juubi tree sucked all the chakra. not to mention the summon's sheer size, and healing capabilities to allies, of course it's a big help in battles.

Yes, it would. It's the same concept as Edo Tensei: reanimated pawns that you control are part of your power. If Udon could summon Madara he would be considered the strongest kage in existence.

Well Sakura can summon Naruto so she is kage level or higher.

I don´t know how this is even debatable.No! having an animal summon does NOT automatically make you kage level. To summon an animal you must simply meet two requirements:

1.Make a contract with the animal species
2.Know the handseals and have enough chakra(mold it) to make the summon appear.

Proof that being able to summon an animal (even a strong one) doesn´t make you kage level is Naruto being able to summon Gamabunta when he was only a kid and he was nowhere near kage level back then.

In fact Naruto became kage level around the Pain invasion arc even though he had been able to summon toads for a while by then.

Kage level shinobi can summon powerful animals HOWEVER that alone is not the reason the are considered kage level to begin with.

Achieving Kage level status means having a set of skills,abilities,battle experience,strategy and adaptation combined into a single ninja.

Bottom line, to be considered kage level you would have to be able to beat (or at least give a really hard time) someone who is actually a Kage, just knowing a summon is not gonna cut it against a real kage level opponent.
