camtasia wont work help PLZ

i want to use camtasia for something i need done but it wont let me install it. i dunno why, the software is only about 170-180mbs and i've installed software bigger than that before. when i press the install button my whole laptop freezes and results in me going into shutdown mode. my laptop is reasonably fast and its never done this before. any help plz? oh and how do u get camtasia for free without using sites like mediafire, megaupload etc? also no torrents. any help to my problem and i will give +rep if i havent already xd oh and no SPAMMING PLEASE
