Pre-order sales for Activision Blizzard Inc.’s Call of Duty: Ghosts for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 and Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One ranked in the top five sales at Best Buy Co. Inc. due to building demand.
This week, the Call of Duty: Ghosts PS4 SKU ranked as the No. 3 best-selling pre-order product at BestBuy.com.
The Xbox One SKU ranked at No. 4 in the same period.
Call of Duty: Ghosts, developed by Infinity Ward, will include an all-new story, all-new characters, and a next-generation Call of Duty engine.
New gameplay includes the ability to control an attack dog to scout the area or take down enemy soldiers. Controls include aim of the bite attack and the option to bark in order to call attention to enemies.
The PS4 will be sold at $399.99 this holiday.
Microsoft this week said the Xbox One will launch this Nov. in the U.S. at $499.99.
