Cacti Oasis

The Cacti Oasis was once littered by cactuses, almost like a forest. Today, the cataclysm has shattered such a wondrous paradise. The waters have turned toxic, black, and acidic. The cactuses that littered the plains have shriveled and died, leaving behind rotting and broken flora.​

This post marks the start of my mission containing the following storyboard elements;
-Set up a secure camp

Story: As Aang and the caravan make it to the next Oasis, merchants share stories of being atracked by bandits at this campsite. Determined to protext them, Aang sets up a fortification and campsite for the merchants.

As the caravan and merchants along with Aang arrived at the next campsite, it was a sparkling Oasis again surrounded by abnormally large cacti. The merchants and guards started unpacking the wagons as Aang gave them a helping hand. It was interesting to help them and hear their stories. Some of them told stories of far off exotic lands and some told stories of adventurers that saved them and fought off bandits. This inspired Aang as he had the drive and desire to be like them, to help and become known as someone who would help and protect those in need. Aang started asking around if there were any stories about the area they're currently in. Aang had never seen such strange plants before. He came from a mountainous region that was far from this type of fauna.

There weren't much in the way of stories around these parts, though then again not many of the merchants went through this path often. However there was one merchant who was a native of the Great Sand desert who was acting as their guide through this area. He spoke of sand bandits that took advantage of the terrain shifting to cover their tracks making it almost impossible to determine their numbers. He shared concerns with Aang about their safety and if they should set up a guard overnight. Aang paused thinking to himself about if he could help set up the campsite any better. Looking around at the terrain they had Aang suddenly had an idea. Shifting most of the wagons with the help if the merchants to one side of the oasis, they covered one bank with their wagons. This would ensure that the bandits wouldn't be able to come from the side the oasis was on, at least without making a loud splashing sound and giving themselves away.
Next, Aang used his abilities to knock down the huge Cacti surrounding the camp to fall over, he then pushed them along the sand dunes with more blasts of wind from his hands. Using them like blockades, they provided natural defence like dug in spikes that would funnel them into certain hotspots. Conferring with the guard sargent about the positions and shifts, Aang made sure to volunteer for the guard duty as well.

Thankfully, during the night there was no issues during the night, one of the guard saw a large scorpion along the dune, but with one swift sword strike from him and it was swiftly dealt with. Morning came and the merchants and guards had breakfast exchanging more stories of their lives and adventures. Aang was happy, even though it wasn't needed, the secure campsite was kept safe and the Merchants thanked Aang for his efforts.

Arriving at the desert, the heat in the area annoyed him more than finding the man he wanted to talk to. Having miscommunicated from the village for quite a long time, he had to renew his access to the village. The normal guards kept refusing to explain the situation, but now he didn't have the time to go through the basic routine check-in process. He searched for the Kage.

The annoying insects would aim to slow him down only to quickly evade them, he was not phased by them to the point he ignored them at times. 'Just where could he be?'

Looking around in the endless sandy dunes, he quickly scanned the place as he meet with some locals who didn't understand who he was talking about. @Howard

Isabella arrived at the shores of the Wind Country, in a cliff edge overlooking the ocean. Cacti spread out everywhere the eye could see, tall like trees and several spilling down the rock formation atop the crashing waves. The weather was tropical and dry, and she noted several small fishing towns near the ocean front. The Wind COuntry was a place of nomads, and to cross the desert blind (pun intended) wouldn't be smart. She landed near a port town, making conversation with fishermen and nomad sellsmen alike.

Many told tales of the Sandstone Oasis, coated with superstion on how only the worthy would be able to see it, otherwise it would be nothing more than a mirage. Several of the tales were told by suspicious and most likely ill intended goons, which made Isabella chuckle at the notion that maybe the worthy ones were rotten and dark.

As she looked around for a guiding map, she came upon a trupe of distressed nomads, that had come from the Sandstone Oasis recently. They mentioned how a beast had taken refuge in there, and cut off the communication route through that central area. It was interesting to have confirmation of Solomon's words, continent's away. She climbed atop the macaw and headed onwards, to find the mythical beast.

Continuing my Mission. Second Post

Leaving the blazing sandstorm, Hades couldn't be any happier. It was completely unknown to him how people could survive being so isolated to the world, yet, what concerned him more, was the fact that people that isolated where also aware of the condition that had befell the world, which was disheartening. However, it was but a fleeting thought, as Hades was met with quite an interesting sight. Before him, towering cacti, as far as he could see, spanned the land mark. It was truly remarkable, as he walked through, the cacti seemed to just get bigger and bigger. It was a truly wonderous sight, unlike nothing he had seen before. Even compared to the ancient tree, this was quite something. Unlike the previous places though, the cacti seemed to be quite healthy, even producing fruits towards the top, however getting to them for a normal person would be quite the feat, with both large and small spikes coating the entire outer shell, scaling it would be a feat in on its own. As Hades walked more and more into the dense cacti forest, in the distance, with his Rinnegan, multiple chakra signature began popping up. The density of the cacti made it harder than normal to see them, however, while a large group of people where there, there was a set of 3 massive chakra signature. Concerned, Hades broke off into a run, trying to see what was going on.

As Hades go into view, quite a sight befell him. Four large caravans had been smashed and destroyed, throw up against the cacti. A large group of people, possibly thirty, where using the cacti as cover, as three very large scorpions began smashing there way through everything. Even though Hades was aware he'd be unable to kill the scorpions, a horrible fate would befall anyone who was caught, likely a stint of eternal agony as the scorpions stomach acids continued to dissolve them forever.

With Journey active, Hades channeled his lightning chakra throughout his entire body, and launched himself forward. Like a spear, Hades bisected the closest scorpion, cutting it in half from the abdomen. As the creature slumped, Hades kept moving. Jumping in the air, Hades began to spin, turning himself into a blade, flying towards the second scorpion. Hades struck the beast straight in the face, cutting it long ways down, even splitting the tail, as the creature fell in two pieces, the third scorpion made a dash for Hades. Without looking, a single tree root sprung upwards, hitting the scorpion in the under belly, lifting it into the air, before the roots spreading, splitting the beast into a hundred pieces as its blood poured down upon the sand. All the while, all three creatures continued to twitch, still alive, not allowed to die, it made Hades sick.

(Ikazuchi Kata: Shidensen) - Form of Thunder and Lightning God: Purple Lightning Flash

Description: The form of thunder and lightning God is a style of the Ogame school which focuses on raw speed to attack the target. In this technique the swordsman will stand sideways and crouch down with their right shoulder tilted down. They will hold their sword with both hands vertically in front of the back shoulder and behind the head. They will then release their strength and throw their body towards the ground, appearing to fall. The hard fall will create speed which is then shot forward by using all of their strength to push off their back foot to create acceleration. This sudden burst of speed catches the opponent off guard as they're not expecting a lazy fall to turn into an extremely fast movement. The swordsman then finishes with and upward slash across the target's torso. If the swordsman is capable, they can add a lightning aspect to this attack by imbuing their blade with lightning, increasing its cutting ability slightly.

With the threat dealt with, Hades walked over to the groups, still huddled behind the cacti, a soft smile on his face as they realized they had been saved from the scorpions. Curious, Hades spoke.

Quite a dangerous trek you're making out here, what is the occassion, if you dont mind my asking?

An older man, was the first to speak, perhaps he lead the caravan, maybe he was the only one not spooked enough.

We had a settlement, but when things stopped dying, bandits razed it to the ground, burning all the food. We decided to flee, having heard about the cacti, and hoping we could set up here. However, it seems like the monsters here are just as big as the cacti, we'd never survive.

It was true. These people looked like simple farmers, settlers, not fighters. Not warriors. However, they where also right about the monsters, they where a great deterrent. If they had a way to stay safe from the monsters, the monsters would keep the bandits away. In his head, it sounded like a brilliant idea.

What if, using my Ninjutsu, i created a settlement for you? Keep you safe from the monsters, and the monsters will keep bandits away?

The caravaners huddled, talking amongst themselves. It was clear many didn't trust Hades in the slightest, while some revered him. After a little discussion, they happily agreed.

After a short walk, they found a nice area, not too densely populated, but with enough massive cacti that they'd never go hungry again. Once more, using his wood release, Hades erected a massive, perimeter, enclosing the settlement in his wood release, while also coating the outer walls with his special pollen, which would put anyone to sleep if they came close. Inside, Hades erected multiple wood houses, enough for everyone, and a few spares, just in case. Around each massive cacti, Hades created staircases and platforms, which would allow the people to not only extract the fruit from the top, but also siphon water from the cacti. Finally, using his Earth release, Hades made a tunnel to the outside, which would function as both an escape, as well as a way to leave the settlement. As the flowers pollen would put them to sleep if they tried to leave normally. Multiple escape routes where created.

Description: The user after performing the required hand seals Ram → Dog → Rat → Bird is able to create a wide tunnel in the ground, this cannot travel through rock though or anything with a high density. The large tunnel that is created allows the user to transport others without detection.
Note: The initial entry of the technique is short range.

After some small discussion, and a few fare wells, Hades took one of the tunnels out of the new little village hidden in the cacti, onwards to the next place.

This post marks the beginning of my mission with the following storyboard element(s):

Summary: Kisuke makes his way to Great Wind Desert to explore the for sand and gather it.

After obtaining the ore for his tool for Marzan to make. The Merchant makes his way to the desert to look for some sand to create glass casing that would be used to surround the out layer of his tool. The land is filled the land from what the eyes can see with Cactuses. These plants guard this area like a fortress. Kisuke hasn't seen large cactuses like this ever in his life nor heard of such of a thing. This probably doesn't see humans at all or very little human life. Kisuke can tell the difference from the previous location he was at looking for the ore and this land. Humans cause trouble with anything they touch. He moves through the cactuses and a scorpion comes up his wooden sandals. The scorpion touches the hairs on his lower leg which alerts the man of it and he shakes his left leg knocking the scorpion off of his leg. He looks around and notices the ground does have an abnormal amount of scorpions. The scorpions also almost blend into the sand but doesn't thanks to their patterns on their back and their eyes glowing red. The sand here wouldn't be promising because he felt as if the sand would have scorpions buried in it.

Stupid scorpions are everywhere. Such numbers is unheard of and this could be how this land is naturally without us humans. I need to get out before I curse this land with my presents.

Kisuke who is a man of knowledge and science he still would like some landmarks to stay as they are since they could be useful in the future. As he continues his walk in the distance there is a flicker of something in the air and dives back down. It looked like a hook of some kind but this could also be a mirage.

What in the hell was that?

Kisuke turns off but wasn't looking and crashes into a cacti that is lower than he is. A loud scream of his is heard by an unknown creature. He plucks the spines out of his face and body slowly. His body heals fast passively with his Gelel healing. After plucking the spines he notices a small opening where there are tons of sand that is polluted by the cactuses. He rushes over and is stopped in his tracks by a figure appearing from the sand swinging towards him. He leaps to the side as the object continues to swing towards him. The ground he stands on starts to shake and sand moves down into the ground even more. The ground below his feet starts to feel harder than normal as he is moving away from the object swinging towards him. At the same time he looks down and notices the ground has a golden color same as the sand but has some black shapes along it. He leaps away from the weird looking ground which sand is pouring off of it as it rises up.

What is this?

Kisuke is confused but isn't confused anymore as he leaps away up into the air backwards. He can see the figure clear. It was an abnormal size scorpion. Its red eyes look directly at Kisuke. It looks towards him and he lands on a cacti. He is hurt by a spine in his back. He can't remove them himself and falls to the ground. The scorpion is in the sky body aiming to crash into the man. He gets up and leaps towards the scorpion with his right knee. The knee hits the scorpion which doesn't cause any kind of harm to it because of the momentum of the scorpion it is bringing all of the kinetic energy down verses the kinetic energy of his knee coming up. His knee isn't broken or anything but he is pushed back into the ground. The scorpion smashes Kisuke into the ground and it destroys the cactuses below it and Kisuke.

Description: The user strikes the enemy with a powerful knee to the stomach, causing them to double over and he finishes with a strong elbow from the alternating arm to the back of the head. If successful, it will render the target unconscious for 2 turns.

He receives sixty damage to his heal and his body is almost crushed under the pressure of the scorpion. Luckily he starts to heal some broken bones. Some of his bones did tear into his left liver. His body starts to heal its self passively as the scorpion walks away. Kisuke slowly gets up with steam coming from his body healing his wounds even the external wounds that he is bleeding from.

You not leaving you fucking insect. I just came here for sand I am going through all of this for it. I hope this tool becomes useful in the future.

The scorpion hears the man and turns around quickly and flicks its tail towards him. Using pure speed he burst forward and under the tail out of the path of it. He has a low stance and leaps up from the ground and spins counterclockwise with is right leg that rotates around. The leg connects with the tail which knocks it to the side. The scorpion lets out a screeching sound. The tail has some blood coming out of it. He lands and takes out his katana and rushes at the face of the scorpion before it could react with its bleeding tail. He leaps up in the air continuing forward and drills downward towards the eyes of the scorpion. It locks eyes with the man. The tail is brought in to stand between him and the eyes of the scorpion.

Description: The user will drop down upon the opponent from mid air pointing their sword downwards and drilling it down into the opponent.

The tail blocks the katana and flicks the man away. He rolls along the ground. He coughs and gets back up grabbing his katana in his left hand. At this point he has wasted enough time so he looks around and notices no one was around. Kisuke had to be cautions on what he does. He wanted to keep his cover low. He was kicked from his clan and doesn't know what enemies out there would want their stone that's imbedded in his body since a young age. He transforms taking of an appearance of a monster himself. Kisuke didn't like that his appearance was so monstrous so he had to get this over with quickly. This is the third time he had to use this transformation in a battle besides training. He lets out a smokescreen from his mouth as he transforms which blocks the vision of each other. The scorpion being animal of instincts tails directed at Kisuke previous location. Kisuke using his new found speed to rush to the right side of the scorpion before it could realize he is there.

( Gereru no Ishi: Mezameru Kemono ) - Stone of Gelel: Awakened Beasts

Description: The user accesses the shard of the Stone of Gelel within them, triggering an animalistic, humanoid transformation likened to Curse Mark, enabling it to increase their physical abilities as well as their mastery of Gelel based techniques. Though these changes alter physically from user to user, the general benefits associated with this technique are shared amongst all users. The user gains a tripled speed alongside an increase in Gelel based techniques by 20 damage as well as an increase to their Body Arts techniques by 25 damage. While in this state, the user is able to access Stone of Gelel techniques that are more powerful such as the Howl and Recovered Stones. At the cost of a move per turn, the user is capable of healing nearly any injury by spending 120 chakra. This healing can extend to healing limbs such as a completely blown away chest, broken and shattered limbs or fully regrowing his body after bifurcation. After using, the user can only use one other jutsu the same turn. This can only be used a total of 3 times and once every 4 turns. As long as their head is attached/they have consciousness, this jutsu can be used. This state is also capable of reducing 30 damage from attacks. The transformations have to respect the logic and reasonability of Narutoverse and must be defined and explained within the biography.
Note: Lasts for 6 turns per use and can be used 3 times total.
Note: After use, the user cannot make use of any Gelel based techniques for 2 turns.

( Gereru Enmaku ) - Smokescreen

Description: While in their transformed form, the user can exhale a smokescreen from their mouth. The smokescreen is meant to be a diversion technique used against opponents, though it has no lasting effects beyond robbing the opponent of vision while preventing chakra and vision based Sensing from working. This smoke lasts for up to two turns as well as its effects.

Kisuke with a right hook he pushes it directly into the side of it and with a left jab in the same spot. With another right hook the exoskeleton cracks and breaks off exposing the internal of the scorpion. The scorpion lets out a screeching sound again but again Kisuke continues attacking one after another. His arms mimic that of a praying mantis which is his arms are bent and hands are pointed downward. With his left he drills into the spot with a spear strike. This causes more of the skeleton to break off thanks to him kind of missing his mark. Another strike this time because he noticed he hits where the skeleton and the internal of the scorpion meets. More breaks off and causes the scorpion to fall over. The Merchant has embraced the transformation and lets out he beast within.

( Hitonare Za Tora ) - Taming the Tiger

Description: A technique that focuses on overwhelming power and precision. Through careful breathing this technique allows the user to deliver several one knuckle punches in quick succession, each and every one striking the exact same spot on the target with devastating effect. This attack is capable of breaking through most conventional defenses.

( Kamakiri Kata: Yaiba Kiwa ) - Mantis Style: Sword Edge

Description: By positioning their arms to mimic those of a praying mantis, their arms bent and their hands pointed downwards, the user is able to deliver spear hand strikes with considerable cutting ability by extending their arms fully so that they mimic a sword's edge. By using the springing action of the extension and their body weight to their advantage the user is able to inflict lethal damage.

He lets out a loud howl that would destroy the bottom layer that is exposed to him thanks to the scorpion falling on its side. The bottom layer is pointed at Merchant making it a perfect opportunity. The scorpion at this point has taken enough damaged that caused it stop moving. Kisuke thinking the scorpion is dead which from all the blood it has dripping out of it and the sand is starting to absorbed but the scorpion is trying to hang on the last little bit of life it has. He deactivates the transformation and pants a little bit.

All of this for some sand.

He is a little upset but snaps out of it because emotions can get in the way of his clear thinking. The notices the blood being absorbed by the sand so he couldn't use this sand and plus this is where the cactuses were so the spines could be in the sand also since the scorpion and himself destroyed them. He walks over to the area he was at earlier. Using a shovel from his bag he dugs up some of the sand from the opening area which is a little sunken in but still able to move up and down into it. The sand is clear of anything foreign to it. A scorpion digs its way out of the sand on the left side of his. He points at it and the scorpion explodes with ease. He leaves the area with sand in his bag filling it up a quarter of the way. He sighs as he is leaving.



( Gereru Tōboe ) - Gelel Howl

Description: The user, while in his transformed state, can produce a loud howl that is strong enough to destroy objects and severely wound enemies. The user seemingly collects energy from the Gelel stone, stores it in his throat and releases it rapidly in the form of a powerful howl. Though this technique resembles Sound Ninjutsu, it is neither an elemental technique nor a Ninjutsu.

( Gereru Bakufū ) - Gelel Blast

Description: With a piece of the Stone of Gelel embedded in them, the user can blast objects without the need to make physical contact with it. He can inversely create a stream of explosions from his hand towards ranged targets. Though this technique shares similarities with Blast Release, this technique is not considered a Ninjutsu.
