While all your points are correct, I'd really like more detail. But don't go too overboard, since it is time consuming for you as well.

"The next one is very familiar. Remember Rising Water Cutter? They are essentially the same, but the last one was C-rank while this one is B-rank. The different is obviously its strength. The speed of the jet is faster than the C-rank, and the size of it is considerably larger as well." Tobirama points at a large rock, about the size of half the student and several meters away. Tobirama looks to the student and continues to explain the technique. "This specific technique requires the Tiger hand seal. Perform nature transformation on your chakra to change the nature of it into the properties of water. Channel the chakra through the ground to have pressurized water to rise up from it. You will perform shape manipulation on it to shape it into a jet, a jet running through the ground while having it travel towards your target. Now, look at that boulder!" Tobirama points at the boulder, with the face of Izuna Uchiha drawn on it with chalk. "Send a jet that way, with enough speed and force to break through the solid rock and destroy that filthy casuals' face! Once you're done, give me advantages, disadvantages, and how you would use it in battle offensively, with combinations and all. Oh, and lastly, keep in mind this is somewhat of a projectile-based technique, but it travels towards the ground so it is easily evaded, kind of."

"This next one is an interesting technique." Tobirama points at six different hand seals while performing them himself to serve as an example. "Alright, perform nature transformation on your chakra to change the nature of it into the properties of water, while performing the six hand seals i pointed and performed in front of you earlier. Send that water chakra in an area near your target, in this case, I will be your target!" Tobirama willingly stood, 5 meters from the student. "Alright, materialize water at the area you ordered your chakra to go at. A mass of water should rise up from that area, as it rises, perform shape manipulation to shape it into a column, shaped like a snake with a gaping mouth. Manipulate the snake to arc downwards and aimed towards me, which should "eat" me. The snake would disperse after eating you, turning into a river of water that would pull me along towards the direction the target is. Perform it, give me advantages, disadvantages, and because this is a supplementary-based technique, how would you use it to aid you in battle or set up combinations?"

"Ah I see sensei. It looks fairly easy since I learned the other one you mentioned."

I channel my chakra and focus it towards the ground in front of me as I perform the Tiger handsign. When I feel confident enough, I manipulate the chakra to take on the properties of water and have it rise out of the ground. Like a knife cutting through butter, I then increase its power output, speed, and density to cut through the rocks. After it rises, I force it to keep "cutting" until it reaches the rock you mentioned, traveling in a straight path.

This jutsu works pretty fast as well as an increase in power. Would it compromise you and your enemies field of vision? It looks like it rises up pretty far so maybe good for using it on people coming down from midair? The jutsu seems like it only travels a linear path but even with earth this looks like it can break through it. If used in conjunction with a lightning jutsu to increase the cutting power...man that would be sweet. It also seems you need to maintain the jutsu or does it work on it own once "activated"? Oh and this one looks like it would work well against those pesky people who try to hide under the ground. >.>

"Oooooh!" I said excitedly. "This looks like something I would DEFINITELY use in battle. I love it!"

Channeling my chakra once more to build a sufficient amount, I perform the Monkey → Rat → Tiger → Dragon → Horse → Dragon handsigns. I then focus my chakra next to me on the ground. Using nature transformation, I will for a large spiraling column of water to rise up and turn the tip of it into a dragons head. By compressing the water, I ensure that when the water hits its target it will pack a punch. I then signal the "water dragon" to attack my target and as it swallows him, it transforms into a river, sweeping away Tobirama.

I actually liked this one because I understood it quite well. I assume by adding water to it I can increase its speed and strength to really kill my enemies. It's not as fast as I think it is but it does the job. Now does this appear anywhere I please or does it appears next to me then heads out? The jutsu to counter this would be the earthen wall Hiruzen used against Tobirama's Suiton: Suishoha.

Q: Would it compromise you and your enemies field of vision?
A: It wouldn't block your field of vision 100%, but it would obscure the direct line of sight for sure. This of course depends on how high you make the slicing wave, but it can still be thin enough to roughly see the sides of your target. As for it's former version, it would be far too small to block as much.

Q: It also seems you need to maintain the jutsu or does it work on it own once "activated"?
A: You are correct, if you pay close attention it mentions that it's a "Jet" type of technique. This means that the manipulation needs to be sustained for the form to be kept, just as you would do with a stream-like technique, they are very similar in nature.

Q: It looks like it rises up pretty far so maybe good for using it on people coming down from midair?
A: It depends on the situation at hand. More often than not, the target that is already airborne would use something like wind-stream to blow himself away from the incoming jet. This of course depends on the situation at hand. If the target simply jumps/leaps towards you, and isn't high enough there may be a chance. If not, you could potentially utilize the source of water from the jet itself to perform another attack as well.

If used in conjunction with a lightning jutsu to increase the cutting power...man that would be sweet.
A: That would be pretty neat indeed, but because the technique needs to be sustained, a clone would need to be used or maybe an ally/summon.

Oh and this one looks like it would work well against those pesky people who try to hide under the ground. >.>
A: Unless the target is less than one meter below the ground (Possibly 0.5meters) I dont see the jet cutting deep enough into the ground to cause harm. And since it is so thin and travels in a linear fashion, the chances of hitting the target are very low while they are underground.

Q: I assume by adding water to it I can increase its speed and strength to really kill my enemies.
A: I'm not sure I follow what you mean by adding "water to it". However, the speed or strength won't increase by doing anything passively, unless you have another technique to combine it with. The technique, although offensive, doesn't produce damage. It captures the targets as the gaping jaw then turns into a river as the source of water spreads. This would give you a chance to use that water source to your advantage.

Q: Now does this appear anywhere I please or does it appears next to me then heads out?
A: No, this technique appears on your short range and heads towards your target. Although it specifies long range, that's for the distance which it can travel up to. Some of the limits of techniques have been stretched and pushed but this isn't one of those techniques. IMO.

____________

Before we continue with your actual training I want to describe a little bit about water and it's properties. I want to expand more on the rest of the strengths and weaknesses of it aside from the ones that were mentioned at the start of your training. By default, most earth-based elements or special elements are strong against water because while both being solid, the earth or variants will out-do it in terms of concentration, splattering the technique in question. As for the rest;

Water is strong to Raw Chakra, as are all other elemental affinities. The only exception is when advanced shape manipulation is used on the raw chakra, to create something like the rasengan, which is a compressed and fast rotating sphere of chakra. Techniques similar to that would be equal when combatting against water.

The next best thing to raw chakra would be, Bijuu Chakra. This is a special type of chakra that is granted by the Bijuu scattered throughout the world. It is known as one of, if not the strongest type of chakra there is. That being said, it is still not stronger than water, it is actually equal to it, as are the rest of the elemental affinities that face off against it.

Lastly in the 'regular' chakra spectrum is Sage Chakra. This is a more acquirable source of chakra, as opposed to the Bijuu chakra. The Sage chakra is gathered through meditation by taking in the force of nature. This type of chakra plays on equal terms with elemental affinities, which includes water release.

Now we move onto the hidden clan or clan specific abilities in relation to water. First up would be the Nara Clan; Their shadows aren't strong nor weak to water, so in essence they would be equal to water if they were to clash. However, taking into account the intangibility of shadows, that is something hard to imagine. One thing to keep in mind is that if a large enough water technique is used, like a wave, that will cast a huge shadow and that is something the user can take advantage of, thus manipulating the shadow to his will. So, if you ever come face to face with a Nara, that's something you'll want to think about before carelessly releasing wide-scale water techniques. This would also apply to small scale ones, so long as they produce a shadow, which most do. Next up is the Aburame; The clan specializes in manipulating bugs, so by default, anything that can kill them is strong against them. This means that water, having the ability to drown the bugs can kill them, this gives the element a superiority over the hidden clan's ability. Though cautious must be kept as some custom abilities for the bugs have been seen to overcome such weakness. Dead Bone Pulse is the next clan ability we will be talking about. This ability is the manipulation of the user's skeleton, allowing him to manipulate his own bones, and using them as a weapon as well as increasing the density of it. This brings us back to something similar to the earth relationship against water. Because the density of the bones are greater than water, they are by default, stronger than it. Next would be the Paper Ninjutsu, which I have already mentioned would be weak to water along with the reasons why. And lastly, Rain; this hidden ability is an extension of water release in combination of wind release to manipulate and create rain. Although it contains a mix of wind, it does not make it stronger than water, they are still by default, equal to each other. The good thing about this though is that, rain techniques are usually small in scale, like manipulated rain drops, so if a large volume of water is used against them, they still have a possibility to continue towards the target. Usually logic has to be applied in this case and it will be something you will learn with experience on the field.

Now I will move onto more kekkei genkai oriented techniques, which are mostly blood bound, though not all are. Although Lava is created partially by using the earth element, it is still not as dense as it, and thus, weak to it because the heat aspect of it would be cooled down to the point of solidifying and no longer being controllable.

Wood is strong against water, as you can imagine, it is denser than it, and also it's unique properties of containing moister by absorbing it. Though the main reason why its stronger is due to it's resistance against water.Crystal is another dense element that is strong against water, mainly due to it's crystallized form, allowing it to scatter or disperse water when clashing. Not only that, but the Kekkei Genkai has the ability to crystalize the water particles in techniques, causing them to turn into crystal as well. Steel needless to say is another solid element that would be strong against water. Although fire release is used to create and/or manipulate the special element, it still presents itself as a solid, unlike lava which is a more guey substance.

You'd think that Sand in most cases would be strong against water because of it's infamous reputation about being the ultimate defense due to how strong it can be compressed. However, unlike other 'solids' the water particles would be able to soak the minerals in the sand and causing them get heavier similar to what would happen with paper ninjutsu. If enough water is applied the sand will turn almost into a mud-like substance that will no longer be manipulated through the sand-ability. Magnetism is something special, that splits into three specific usages. Either the manipulate of Iron Sand or Gold Dust. These two usages are similar to sand, although they wouldn't soak in the moister, but wouldn't be strong against it either. The third usage is the actual usage of magnetism to manipulate metallic objects. In most cases, a water defense can be used to stop the attack and thus, protect one's self.

Storm in some cases is weak to water because it is partially created through it. What I mean is, storm is the combination of water and lightning. So if a large enough source of water is used against a specific storm technique, the lightning will be defused/negated, leaving only the water to either continue, or cancel out with your own water.

These two next abilities I will mention have a double strength against water, which means, your water technique would have to be two ranks higher than the technique in question in order to cancel it out, which makes things quite unfortunate. This is specially true when facing off against S ranked techniques or even Forbidden ones, as the ability to up the strength of your water is pretty much out of your hands in most cases, unless they are weakened before hand. The first one is Ice which not only is stronger due to it's density but also it's cold properties. Not only can ice scatter water in some cases, but it can also bring it to a freezing point upon contact, making it very weak against it. You have to be very careful when using water against this element as you could potentially be increasing the arsenal of your opponent by giving him more solid ice to manipulate. The other ability that has a double strength to water would be Scorch which is very very hot. The heat is so powerful that it would completely evaporate the water with ease.

Steam is what it sounds, hot water vapor. Naturally, you'd think water is strong against it, because the vapor is hot, but in this case, they are neutral as its almost like a hot mist, to put it simply. Boil is another neutral element to water that can't be melted by it, however it can be turned into a very acidic substance when facing off against it, causing it to potentially injure the user if they come in contact with it. Blast is an ability that allows the user to blow things up, or create blasts, which are mostly hot. In this case, water is strong against it, allowing it to either contain the blasts through it, or countering them after they detonate, washing out the explosion.

Sound is neither strong or weak to water. Water can be used to create barricades of sorts between yourself and the target so that the traveling soundwaves, bounce elsewhere and don't reach you, or potentially delay the effects. However you have to keep in mind that in some cases, water can aid sound release, if used directly on it, as the pulses could travel through it, and increase in power. In a sense, it can almost be viewed as lightning (concept) though not entirely of course.

Water is strong against the absorption powers of Dark Release. The KG has the ability to absorb chakra, but because the water is still tangible and being manipulated, the target would have a hard time sucking it up, leaving the water without chakra, but still potentially harmful. Elemental interaction wise, water is stronger by one rank to the absorption ability while still allowing the chakraless source of water to continue or fall, depending on the situation and technique at hand. Water would also be strong against the release version of Dark as the raw energy would play in similar terms to the raw chakra I described at the beginning.

Swift is something that can't really be explained as weak or strong against water as its an ability that increases the user's own speed. So in most cases, water can be used similar to how it can be used against sound release. By creating defenses or barricades, the user can prevent or slow down his target, however this does not make it stronger or weaker to the release.

Lastly there is the Kekkei Tota, Dust Release which is an advanced version of a Kekkei genkai, utilizing more than two elements, three to be precise. This release has the ability to disintegrate water, and thus makes it stronger against it. A heavy downside to this is that there won't be an available source of water to re-manipulate after the clash of said elements.

And now that the elemental/special interactions with water are over with, I can move onto explaining to you the actual element. What I like about water is that it can be manipulated in different states; Solid, Liquid & Gas. The solid state, isn't exactly solid, but a simply a poor imitation of solid, by highly compressing the water, into an almost crystalline state. The liquid one is the most common one, as you can already imagine. Not only can the user release it, but he can also manipulate existing sources of water. Lastly its the gaseous state which would be the mist. By expanding the water molecules in the liquid the user creates mist that can then be manipulated. Personally, this is my favorite version of water, though I still like almost all states equally. As time passed we've seen some users have the ability to change the compounds of water into something more special for example, turning the water into flammable oil. Though, this ability is very rare, and mostly restricted to the toad summons, or users. A more common usage/conversion of water would by the adhesive syrup that can be used to bind or slow down the targets. In some cases we've also seen users with the ability to drain or absorb chakra through their water as a medium, most of those techniques are under the arsenal of shinobi from the hidden mist like myself.

_______

After that, I want you to state the elemental interactions that water would have with the other four basic elements. (Lightning, Fire, Earth & Wind) Can some supplement each other, if so how? Are others hard to combo with? If so, how come? List anything and everything that comes to mind. This is a way for me to get a grasp of what you know so we can move on from there.

Water & Wind = Wind can augment the water's speed and power when combined with a weaker wind technique. Don't know if its 2 or 1 rank lower. Also the water jutsu goes first THEN the wind technique. A strng wind can also dissipate the water or make it cold but usually requires a higher ranked technique.

Water & Fire = Fire can increase the temperature of the water to the point it can make it into mist. Naturally water is a good counter to fire since it snuffs out the oxygen in it causing it to die out. IN order to have them work together you need to perform the water first followed by the fire.

Water & Lightning = My favorite combo. Water conducts lightning real well and can paralyze your enemy if they come in contact with it. However because of that you have to be careful not to get shocked yourself. I dpn't know if this is correct or not but it seems logical that the water can absorb lightning if used against you.

Water & Earth = This is a weird mix for me. Water can break down the earth causing it to turn into mud but requires a heavier strength water and a lower ranked earth for them to work together. Otherwise the earth will just absorb the water leaving you only with damp earth.

It does't have to be combined with a lower ranking wind technique. They can both be equally powerful and their joint strength would jump to the next rank. This means that an A rank water projectile that was influenced by an A ranked gust of would would make an S rank water/wind combination. Of course, logic needs to be applied when combining the techniques as rank is not the only thing that matters. If the wind's characteristics are very deadly or simply don't blend well, it's best not to use it as it might not work. For example, releasing a slicing crescent blade of wind to speed up a water bullet wouldn't work out, it would only cut it in half.

Water & Fire = Fire can increase the temperature of the water to the point it can make it into mist. Naturally water is a good counter to fire since it snuffs out the oxygen in it causing it to die out. IN order to have them work together you need to perform the water first followed by the fire.
Correct, in most cases the water technique will completely blow out the flames and in turn will be a mist of steam that spreads throughout the field. The size of the mist depends on the size of the fire and the source that was evaporated as well. Fire can also be used to heat up a water technique and have it come to a boiling point. However for this to happen, a low ranking technique would have to be used. I would say at least 2-3 ranks lower. This however would not actually increase the rank of the water technique, it would weaken it but give it new properties, which would be boiling.

Water & Lightning = My favorite combo. Water conducts lightning real well and can paralyze your enemy if they come in contact with it. However because of that you have to be careful not to get shocked yourself. I dpn't know if this is correct or not but it seems logical that the water can absorb lightning if used against you.
That's correct, the opposing water would absorb the lightning and defuse it as it spreads. (Dispersing it) However this doesn't mean the water technique will come out unscathed. In actuality, the unfocused lightning would directly strike the chakra that is manipulating and maintaining the form of the technique, thus canceling it out. However, because water has a physical property it doesn't mean it would vanish. If we were talking about a large source of water, like a big wave, the momentum would still carry forward as it turned into a formless and now natural source of water, continuing unhindered and rankless. As for focused lightning, it would pierce through or splatter the water to a certain degree because of the consistency the energy has. However the same result would happen and that would be the canceling of the water technique. This of course is going of by the basis that both clashing techniques are of equal rank as they are nuetral to each other.

Water & Earth = This is a weird mix for me. Water can break down the earth causing it to turn into mud but requires a heavier strength water and a lower ranked earth for them to work together. Otherwise the earth will just absorb the water leaving you only with damp earth.
As you stated, a higher ranking water technique can be used against an earth style to turn it into mud. However this wouldn't be instant, the earth would have to be bathed of submerged for a turn or so for it to begin to turn into mud, perhaps a few more turns. More often than not, you will not run into a situation where you can turn an earth technique into mud. You can however, release water into an already created source of water to make it more liquid-like and not so viscous. Depending on the earth technique, water can also supplement it in the sense that the user can release earthen projectiles and then a wave of water or something similar to either increase the speed by pushing it, similar to how wind would do it, or to "infuse" the water with earthen fragments that would make it stronger and deadlier at the end of the day.

(Suiton: Funshutsu Mizu Kinko) - Water Release: Gushing Water Imprisonment
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user creates a flow of gushing water under the opponent which traps them in a sphere of water. The user can perform an attack while the opponent is trapped. This jutsu is similar to Water Prison Technique, though the user doesn't need to keep his arm in the sphere of water.
Note: Technique creates its own water source
Now it's time to learn a very notorious technique. This is a stronger and more versatile version of the Water Prison technique. Not only can it be performed from a distance, but it doesn't require hand signs nor does it need a source of water. In fact, it creates a source for you to then manipulate into the water prison. Now, because this technique is of a binding nature, it naturally requires focus so the user is required to keep focus on the technique. I want you to perform the technique with a similar concept as the water prison but following the previous steps I mentioned. I then want you to note some positive things you may have noticed of this technique, or things I missed out. Also some negative points and favorable situations to use it in.

Suigetsu looked at his sensei quite confidently.

"Ah...this is a piece of cake. Let me show you how its done."

After channeling his chakra from throughout his body, Suigetsu then focus it towards the ground below his target to create a gush of water that quickly forms into a water sphere, becoming a makeshift water prison. As the water technique nears its end, it becomes denser, allowing the target to become unable to move.

-

I have some questions though. The water forms under the opponent or do you create a river that gushes towards the opponent and THEN becomes a water prison? You say it requires focus but the technique says you can make an attack while this is active. What did you mean by focus and what kind of attacks CAN you make?

The answers to those questions will let me get a better grasp of the jutsu.

So far as combinations or uses...Lightning is a favorite of mine so sending a lightning jutsu to it would be nice. I thought it would also be nice to use genjutsu before I perform he technique so that it doesn't get interrupted right off the bat. Heating up the water with fire could work but it takes a large concentration of it and focused.

Q: The water forms under the opponent or do you create a river that gushes towards the opponent and THEN becomes a water prison?
A: The water is materialized beneath your target or is created by manipulating a pre-existing source of water that is already beneath the target.

Q: What did you mean by focus and what kind of attacks CAN you make?
A: By focus I mean that your chakra manipulation needs to be on the technique for it to be sustained. This means the second you begin performing another technique that requires chakra (Excluding Walking on Water/Tree techniques or modes/techniques already activated (Mainly customs in this case) the gushing prison will fall apart. Mainly the only attacks you can use are ones that don't require chakra. Like projectile based, throwing kunais, shuriken and such. If you remember one of our first fights, or perhaps it was against Yanks, I utilized my blade whilst I maintained the gushing water active. Unless otherwise specified, a lot of the water techniques need to be sustained excluding most of the projectile based ones.

For lightning to be used in combination you would have to either combine it with a clone so it happens around the same time, or release it afterwards and force the prison to fall apart, as I previously mentioned. As far as boiling goes, there is a chance to use fire so long as you release a projectile beforehand. Since the fire needs time to travel and the water rising from beneath the target, it can be timed so the fire hits the water to boil it, so long as you use a low enough rank and your opponent allows it. Your best bet would be a tricky genjutsu beforehand as you stated before. If you have any more questions or concerns ask me any time.

Description: After waving the Dragon → Tiger → Rabbit hand seals, the user creates a big jet of water that is launched from their mouth. This technique works exceptionally well with Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique to help it become like cement.
The next technique is very straight forward and simple. One of the concerns I have with it is the number of hand sign it needs for such a simplistic move. You will have to gesture three of them which are the "Dragon, Tiger & Rabbit" seals. While doing so you'll be focusing water chakra inside of your mouth, thereafter releasing it from your mouth in the form of a jet with no real shape. Jet-related techniques mainly belong to the streaming category this means that it also needs to be sustained, so combinations need to be chosen wisely. After performing it, I want you to note any key facts you noticed about the technique.

Mangetsu gestures a single hand sign, causing a large poof of smoke to overwhelm the battle field. As the smoke clears, countless straw dummies are spread out throughout the training grounds to be used as target practice. Mangetsu casually walks towards one of them and pats it on the head.

Suigetsu laughed as he created several comical dummies.

"And here I thought you killed people with your sword not your sense of humor. Well, at least I won't be bored Big Brother."

Suigetsu channels his chakra and creates a shadow clone to help with his lesson.

Description: The Kage Bunshin distributes the ninja's chakra evenly among the clones and creates a real copy with form and substance. The clone itself can also utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows. When the clone finally disperses, any new knowledge it has gained is passed back to the original ninja and any additional clones. Upon impact, the clone can be dispersed.

"Alright. Let's make this interesting."

Suigetsu performed a long jump upwards and channeled his chakra from throughout his body as he performed the three handsigns shown to him by Mangetsu. Taking a deep breath, Suigetsu then expels a large jet of water towards the many clones starting from left to right and back again. Meanwhile my clone, channels his chakra quickly while he performs the Rabbit → Dog → Boar → Ram → Rat handsigns and in conjunction with my attack, performs a lightning technique to mesh with the water to create a powerful lightning-infused water torrent, effectively destroying your many dummies (assuming there weren't THAT many).

In fact, certain users have showed that its possible to, if the user has the ability to mold both Water and Lightning chakras at the same time (for example, Darui who has Storm Release), unleash this particular technique at the same time as they exhale/spit some water technique (which needs to consist of a stream of water), combining both in a seemingly consecutive move. Other ninjas will need to use a clone or an ally for the same effect.

Once that was done with, Suigetsu then goes on to give some much needed dialogue.

"Well from what I observed, it's a powerful jet of water despite being B-Rank in strength. It is a good one to use with one technique in particular to create a makeshift cement technique. I like the range especially if I decide to use it at a start of the battle. However it's kinda lame it can only be used on tartgets in mid-range from yourself. That really takes away some strategies that would have worked well if this was short-long."

OOC: Hey is this the one used by Kagutsuchi against Kabutomaru? Wasn't that Water Trumpet something?

Suigetsu laughed as he created several comical dummies.

"And here I thought you killed people with your sword not your sense of humor. Well, at least I won't be bored Big Brother."

Suigetsu channels his chakra and creates a shadow clone to help with his lesson.

Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The Kage Bunshin distributes the ninja's chakra evenly among the clones and creates a real copy with form and substance.

Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40 (+ 20) =60
Description: After waving the Dragon → Tiger → Rabbit hand seals, the user creates a big jet of water that is launched from their mouth. This technique works exceptionally well with Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique to help it become like cement.

Mangetsu's eye twitches as he notices all his straw-dummies being destroyed in one swoop.

They were meant to last longer baka!! As for your deduction, it was accurate; I like how you noticed the restricted range this technique has. As you mentioned, it can't be used in short range or long, only in mid range.

OOC: Yeah that's correct!

(Suiton: Haran Banshō) - Water Release: Stormy Blockade
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will slam their hands against then ground allowing him/her to summon a massive amount of water from the sky, crushing it into the opponent. If needed, the user can cancel the technique in an instant.
Note: The water needs to be summoned at least 10 meters above the opponent to have any real effect.
Now we will move onto the next technique, one of my favorite ones. I want you to slam your hands on the ground as you focus your water chakra in the moisture in the air. You will then materialize a source of water from the sky, that will naturally fall down where you summoned it. The mass of the water is strong enough to push the target it rains upon to be pushed towards the ground, with no actual injury though. For the technique to be effective, it needs to be summoned at least 10m from them. This is a very useful technique and has a lot of potential. Can you think of anything specific with this technique? Its an all around, good set up technique to use.

Hey man sorry for the late, late reply despite this being an easy jutsu to reply to. Procrastination will be the death of me. z.z

-

After a long bathroom break, Suigetsu takes a sip of his water bottle as he listens to his brother yammer on about the next jutsu.

"Yeah, yeah. Don't worry. I got this."

Suigetsu channels his chakra and then proceeds to slam his hands on the ground. Focusing his chakra 10 meters in the air above one of the newly made dummies, Suigetsu then proceeds to materialize a massive amount of water. With a gesture from his hand he causes the water to come crashing down. Suigetsu then directs his nonchalant expression towards his brother.

"Well...it's a nice technique and all but...not sure if I can use this as a water source as that would be tons better than making it crash on my opponent. If I combined it with a fire technique I could create a good mist and then use that to my advantage. Once that was in effect I could then use a lightning technique to electrify the mist and have the enemy down before I even move an inch.

Anyways, it has a good range and very easy to make. A good combo with this would be a earth shaking jutsu to unbalance my enemy and then cause this to crash on them although not sure how that would work well. I really can't think of other good combos with this. One thing that really throws me off is that it doesn't cause damage on its own as that could really give it more value but what can you do, right?

Oh and sorry about the dummies earlier. Hee hee hee."

OOC: Not to worry, it happens to all of us hahah ;sweat;

That was a good execution though you did not specify the size/volume of the water. It's something to keep in mind when being the heat of battle as your opponent can take advantage of that minuscule detail. As far as the fire combination goes, although wise to take advantage of a mist, you would essentially be either weakening your fire technique or simply taking it out completely. You'd be effectively spending chakra to perform two techniques, in order to create mist, something that can be done directly through other means. Fire should be taken advantage of when it's already present on the field unless a specific situation calls for it and puts you at an advantage. As for your lightning combination, unless it is a specifically and custom mist technique, ordinary mist can't conduct electricity as the molecules are spread out too far apart for the energy to travel through as a medium. Unless there was a specific lightning (custom) technique that allowed it. Lastly, the damage that does not come with the technique; Although it produces no damage it still produces physical effects, if successful it would force the target into submission, which opens a window for you to attack or take advantage of. Now let's move onto the next technique(s).

(Suiton: Bakusui Shōha) - Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user performs the snake hand seal and creates a large volume of water from their mouth spilling it toward the ground and lifting them up into the air. The user can also ride the wave, allowing him to travel at high speeds and attacking the enemy. The user can create a small ocean worth of water even in barren conditions and can use the water for additional techniques.
Although low-tier in rank, this next technique is a great gate-way into creating a large source of water in the battlefield. You will start out by performing the "Snake" hand sign, thereafter focusing water chakra inside of your mouth as you then spew it outwards, continuously releasing it in the form of a towering stream that begins to lift your body as the overwhelming source of water begins to spread outwards in all directions, naturally creating waves that could potentially harm the target. The waves can be used as a form of transportation to reach your target faster as well as attack him. The could also be used to spread out throughout the terrain and create a mini-ocean, something rivaling a deep lake of sorts. This is dependent on the terrain, though in most cases, it will fill it up if allowed to be fully released. I want you to break apart the technique and mention a usage, along with positive traits and negative ones, this is a useful water technique.

Before his brother could initiate the technique Mangetsu leaps backwards and lands on a tree, away from the water's range.

(Suiton: Mizugakure no jutsu) - Water Release Hidden Amongst Water Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and then blend in with a water source to be undetected by the enemy for a short period of time. However Sensory Ninja and Doujutsu users can find the enemy easily within the water source.
After drowning the battlefield, I want you to focus your water chakra throughout your body and into the source you are in contact with. Using a similar approach as the Leech of all Creation technique, I want you to blend into the source of water, almost as if you were using the water substitution technique in order to fuse with the source, becoming one with it. You'd be able to travel through the water undetected by regular means, though still susceptible to attacks as you are fused with the water, thus making you a bigger target. The time in which this can stay active is relatively short, mainly stretching to the time you can hold you breath. (For RPing purposes, I'd be 1 turn, the turn used.) Just like before, give me some examples that could give this technique some useful potential.

(Suiton: Bakusui Shōha) - Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave

After watching the anime episode it aired on, Kisame claps his hands but according to the technique on here and narutopedia, you use the snake handseal. It's a little weird it would happen like that but since the snake handseal has been used in the past for earth and wood release techniques, I guess it was just logical to make it that way.

Once the handseals are done, Kisame takes a deep breath and his chest seems to expand. This is similar to how some fire techniques build up flammable gas in your lungs and when you breath it out it becomes fire. I assume that in this case you spew out water but at an increased rate an volume. The amount and speed help lift you up at the top and the rest of the water comes down. It's basically like a tidal wave in my opinion that you ride down. If your opponent gets caught in it it's a "wipeout". Similar to how you were taught to channel chakra to your soles to keep you from falling in to the water, the user does the same. This way he can attack without having to worry about being swept away with the water created. I am curious as to how the water actually lifts him up. The water that comes out of your mouth is going forward unless it instead creates a "geyser" that takes you up and then down with it. Weird.

Once you ride the wave then it's left to you to take advantage of the water source as quickly as possible. Kisame intended to use the water to strike his opponents with Samaheda. Similarly, you can either use your weapon or a technique perhaps. There seems to be a cut off where the technique isn't controlled anymore by your chakra but I'm not sure exactly where that is.

-

This is a good one to use at the start of a battle because it sets up your battlefield with water to use later and its speed and power can really be hard to counter properly if you aren't experienced in handling a jutsu of this type. Even though it's only B-Rank it's still formidable allowing you to get the advantage at the start of battle if coupled with the right jutsu that involve you taking advantage of the water source. A water imprisonment jutsu would be a nice one to use in conjunction with distraction jutsu like throwing projectiles and then performing the technique. One of the disadvantages of using it is that at close range it can be rather difficult to perform because it leaves you open to attack despite its speed and power. It's best used from mid to long range as from there you still have time to counter in case your enemy decides to play dirty. I think I've run out of things to say about this jutsu. z.z

-

Suigetsu channels his chakra as he performs the snake handseal. He inhales deeply, filling his chest with water and then proceeds to exhale, releasing a voluminous amount of water. The water gushes out of his mouth that lifts him up, over, and down with it in the form of a rather large tidal wave. The water wave moves at an incredible speed that soon the whole battlefield is filled with enough water to fill a small lake. As he descends the wav, Suigetsu takes out Kubikiribōchō and slices the head of one of your practice dummies. He laughs with an evil look on his face.

"Hahahahaha!"

(Suiton: Mizugakure no jutsu) - Water Release Hidden Amongst Water Technique

One thing I'd like to point out was that probably Kisame could hold his breath longer due to his gills. I am of the opinion that Hozuki members could probably pull this off as well considering they jutsu involves their ability to mesh with water on a consistent basis. I think we would be able to last longer in it or at least Suigetsu. He was living in a test tube for a long time unless I did't watch right and he had a breathing tube. Opinion?

I am curious as to how fast can you move underwater with this. Is it like Hiding like a mole technique or is this more like swimming? ~.~

What can you sense while in the water? Can you hear better or worse than when on the surface?

-

Once the water was spread throughout the battlefield from his previous technique, Suigetsu then channels and manipulates his chakra to "become one with the water" by changing his body structure to a liquid state similar to how his hydrification technique works but on a lesser scale. As his body changes, he then sinks into the water and becomes like water, hiding from view to trick his brother.

-

I have a wonderful idea of how to use this against your enemy though it would require you to answer the questions I gave you above to answer. If it is how I imagine, Hozuki members could use this technique and by using a certain technique (CJ) you could essentially hide under the opponents "shadow" in the water which would make detecting you much harder. The technique would then allow you to pull the enemy under the water. The rest would be up to your creativity. Nice huh?

Anyways, as much as I like this one it's still a risk considering you are turning yourself into water. If the enemy uses a strong enough lightning jutsu, you are pretty much done and dead. I am not sure but if the enemy were to use the entire water in the area and use it in a technque, you might get caught up in it and sustain damage depending on how it is used.

@__@

I just noticed this is short range. -.-

This would have to be used wisely and personally, I don't think I see myself using it considering how risky it is to use in the first place. Why would you hide yourself in short range in water that can be electrocuted? .-.

I don't see the logic in using it as such.

*checks narutopedia*

Ah I see it was used by the Demon Brothers >.>

It;s still a lame jutsu but could prove useful if used at the right moment considering they were able to use it on a puddle. But exactly how are you going to hide from your enemy in a puddle of water? -_-

I guess this is where you use distractions to throw him off if he isn't a sensor or has a doujutsu. Seems like a nice magic trick. xD

When using the hidden amongst water technique, you move as fast as your normal running speed.

If I missed any other questions, please tell me as I made the mistake of replying to several things at once here .__.

(Suiton: Uramiame no Jutsu) - Water Release: Grudge Rain Technique
Rank: B-Rank
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 20 (-50 per turn while trapped in the vortex of waves)
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will first perform the Dog hand seal and release his chakra into the atmosphere which will then create an accumulation of large storm clouds in the sky, which in turn produces rain. The large amount of rain falling all around can then be turned into a large wave of water which sweeps the enemy off their feet while wrapping around him and binding him in the flow of water around him. While the targets are trapped in the water, their chakra will slowly be drained away. The water vortex can be sustained and controlled for up to two turns as long as the user keeps the dog hand seal made.

This to me looks more like a Fuuin/Rain technique but you get to learn it as part of water release xD
As the description says, the rain suddenly overwhelms your target, much like a flash flood. They then find themselves trapped in the water while have 50 chakra taken from them per turn, up to two turns... so long as you hold the Dog Seal.

( Suiton: Suishinshū ) - Water Release: Water Quaking Pillar
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user jumps into the air and then stabs his sword intothe ground, where he causes water to burst up around him and creating a pillar of water to rise up in the air repelling the enemy.

Pretty sure this is from one of the many Naruto games. After leaping into the air and then thrusting your sword into the ground as you land, the water will burst up around you and push away anyone in your immediate vicinity.

So I unfortunately don't RP train often, sorry about that. All I need from you it to analyse these jutsu (occasionally I'll have you perform certain jutsu, but not these), detailing your thoughts on them; such as if you think they are useful, strengths/weaknesses, combinations and possible ways to counter. Of course ask questions and I'll do my best to answer them.

(Suiton: Uramiame no Jutsu) - Water Release: Grudge Rain Technique

This is interesting if you bring attention to the description:

"The large amount of rain falling all around can then be turned into a large wave of water which sweeps the enemy off their feet while wrapping around him and binding him in the flow of water around him. While the targets are trapped in the water, their chakra will slowly be drained away."

One can assume by that word alone that you have the option to do that. Unless it changes, it seems to me this could be used as a water source as well as a medium for rain techniques. The chakra draining seems like a plus to me, allowing you to wear down your enemy especially if used tactfully. The drawback to this seems that must maintain the technique by holding down the Dog handseal. I would prefer to have this one active while using a clone as one can cover for you while you maintain this. One of the advantages is see for this technique is a water source, especially if you maintain it, allowing you to use many water techniques especially those that require large water sources. Considering I don't have the requirements or training for Rain then I can't really come up with combos now but if I were to exploit the large rain coming down, I could use a lightning technique to combine with either the rain itself or the flood that happens right after. There's always risks with that but sometimes even the most ridiculous strategies can lead to victory if you know how to use it right.

(Suiton: Suishinshū) - Water Release: Water Quaking Pillar

SO found the video about this where it shows Kisame performing it. I got the link to play at a specific moment when he is about to do it in case you wanted to see it yourself.

Youtube link to move:

For a technique like this, I would definitely use it especially since it involves Kenjutsu. Kisame jumps into the air and then slashes his sword vertically into the ground, releasing a spinning pillar of water that then pushes out and around him to push back one's enemy(s) at close quarters. The description doesn't tell us much but from what I assume, the user manipulates the water to spin around him in a sort of shield. It's more practical to do it that way rather than just have it rise as your enemies could also throw weapons at you. The spinning motion takes care of that simlar when you throw an object at a tornado. It will either throw it somewhere else or back at you. xD

I don't see many disadvantages with this considering its a CQC-type technique so trying to make it a longer range would defeat its purpose. I'd like to combine it with wind and I am sure there are some out there that would work well together with this one and making a more powerful hurricane/tornado.

Note: From looking at the technique, it seems like it is going forward as well (the attack) but it may be just my imagination.

First jutsu, I do agree with you that it could be used as a source of water, though since it is a b-rank you would only expect it able to support b-rank jutsu. However, you first have to utilise the jutsu until it takes the form of a crashing wave as the sheer amount of rain alone will not suffice for a body of water. It could however be used to support rain jutsu, but I know very little about rain release jutsu... so take that with a grain of salt.

Second jutsu, sorry I did picture the water as spinning when I typed this out but obviously forgot to communicate that with you >__< Also, the forward momentum you see is just the game mechanics getting a bit lost, since Kisame may have changed to face that direction or something... or that was the enemy that took the brunt of the attack... again, that is my opinion only .__.

Also with the new damage system... well, revamped system, you could expect to take full damage from this jutsu and not die since the main purpose of this tech it to create space between you and your targets... but still, 40 damage adds up over time.

( Suiton: Seiryūshō ) - Water Release: Azure Dragon Palm
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user unleashes a spiralling torrent of water from his hands.

Just a simple stream of water being released from your hands, the spin it to add extra stability and damage.

( Suiton: Shizuka Yari ) - Water Release: Droplet Spear
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: Using their skills with water release, the user creates an orb of water in their hand which they can then release in the form of multiple spearing streams, that they can use to attack their enemy from multiple directions or in spirals.

The water orb is always created short-range to you and the spears that shoot out from it (still attacked to the orb) can reach mid-range. Good for multiply targets or for multiple wounds to cripple your target/overwhelm them.

( Suiton: Nagareru no Yari ) - Water Release: Flowing Spear
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user creates crescent shaped blades of water, which follow the arcs of their hand movements attacking opponents infront of them or they can twirl around while generating the crescent blades to attack all around them.

Similar to arcing wind blasts from swords/hands. You release compressed streams of water that shoot off from your hand in the arc you swing them in, or as the jutsu states, you can spin around while waving your arm to create an all-around offensive/defensive move.

So I didn't right much about these as they are pretty simple, really only the second jutsu has killing potential as the first and latter in my view deal blunt trauma/push the targets away from you. Like I said, the second jutsu is more of a killing jutsu since it has piercing potential and can be aimed at vital points.

So analyse these as you did before, I do like that you went to some extra effort to research the jutsu. If you find I need to explain things in greater detail, don't hesitate to ask me either. ^^

(Suiton: Seiryūshō) - Water Release: Azure Dragon Palm

Why does this jutsu remind me of this one:

(Suiton: Hahonryū) - Water Style: Destruction Torrent
Rank: B
Type: Offense/Defence
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: After waving the Boar → Dog → Ram hand seals, a water vortex created in the palm of the user’s hand that can then be blasted forward creating a spiraling wall of water which can then be used to attack or defend.
Note: No water source required
Looking at how Ao uses it in the game ( ), the techniques are almost identical except on this one it doesn't look like he maintains the technique. It's just meant as an attack but I can see myself just using it like the other one as a defense. Is that wrong? As a sensei, if you saw me defend against, say a C-B rank fireball (non-solid one) with this, would you think I correctly used the technique or would you count it against me? Asking this now before I end up actually doing that.

(Suiton: Shizuka Yari) - Water Release: Droplet Spear

I like how training pushes me to watch more naruto games. xD

Anyways, love this. Mei uses this technique by creating a water orb like you said and then creating streams of water to come out of it and strike the enemy. Being able to change the angle and/or make it spiral makes it that much more versatile and one good way to push the distance between yourself and your enemy especially if you extend the streams to mid-range. I would however use it more short-range then push to mid-range to create a gap then follow up by a more solid technique to finally push back more or throw them farther giving you time to implement other strategies. The streams are more for "striking" damage right and not for "piercing" damage? Wait...read your other comment on it so never mind.

(Suiton: Nagareru no Yari) - Water Release: Flowing Spear

I like the versatility on this one. Mainly offensive but with the possibility to use for defensive maneuvers. There's not much to say about this one tbh since it pretty much explains itself. I think this one in particular seems fun because you can play with it saying you are suing a water dragon's claws or something.

I'd say using Azure Dragon Palm would be a valid way to counter similarly sized fireballs, such as the C-rank Standard Issue Uchiha Fireball jutsu. If you think of it this way, almost every jutsu has an ability to counter other jutsu, so long as you take into account some points of logic; is your tech large enough to counter the opponent's, is it strong enough etc. So I can't really say if I'd rule against you or not, as each ruling is situational at best. However, it could be used against the right fire jutsu.

So, do you know Wind Rasengan and the Shadow Clone Jutsu?

(Suiton: Daibakufu no Jutsu) - Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique
Rank: A
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: After doing the needed hand seals Tiger → Ox → Monkey → Rabbit → Ram → Boar → Ox → Horse → Monkey → Tiger → Dog → Tiger → Snake → Tiger → Ox → Monkey → Rabbit → Bird, the user will form a gigantic vortex of water in the form of a ring in front of him. It will then shoot a gigantic torrent of water that extends water over a large scale, surges upon impact and rises up to several dozen meters high only to collapse down, forming massive waves all around as it does. The effect is such that as its collapsing it resembles a waterfall, hence the name of the technique. In doing so, it resembles a huge wave, with tremendous power that can hollow out the ground. What remains after that technique's utilization is reminiscent of no less than the aftermath of a natural disaster. This is a considerably advanced ninjutsu, and activating this technique requires a fair amount of chakra. The normal use of the technique requires a water source which is manipulated into the technique but some users have shown the ability to use the technique as a water stream exhaled from the mouth and forming more of a gigantic barrage/stream/wave of water rather than the more intricate and complex use of the main application of the technique.
Note: Can be used with a water source or by using one's own chakra to exhale the technique without the need for a water source nearby.

So 18 hand seals... yikes O__O'

So this is very large in scale, similar in size to the S-rank fire stream jutsu that Madara uses. You either need a present water source such as a lake or ocean, or you can release the water from your mouth to fuel the massive torrent of water. It's destructive abilities come purely from the massive amount of water involved and swelling motion that grants it momentum from gravity.

Yes I do know those two jutsu. o-o

Took me a while to actually find the exact place where he uses it. First off, this is one OP technique if used right. I mean if it can reach up to long range and still retain the power to carve the earth then it must be that powerful. I like the two applications of it, with or without a water source. Either using the water you are on or a stream from your mouth. I don't know how a projectile would work though considering it loses potency the longer it travels. The thing that kinda throws you off is the handseals. It's understandable as this level of jutsu is meant to be exploited by water specialists as they can just do the one handseal instead of the faster handseals or normal speed. It seems there is a preparation to it meaning it builds up first as a ring of water around you but standing up. Similar to standing in a tunnel. Then it builds up speed which then begins to absorb the water and add it to itself. The vortex then proceeds to increase in size and power eventually being able to cut the very earth or at least tear through it on its way. What makes me happy is that Kakashi used it so expertly. ;_;

I'd rather use this from Mid-Long Range as by then it already has some power to it, being able to counter high rank fire techniques or even earth (though nothing against S-Ranks though all within reason).

Kakashi fan I see xD and I agree on the handseal issue... kinda makes me not want to use certain jutsu when the hand seals take so long to pull off @__@ Then again I rarely use anything other than Wind, Lightning and Fire these days...

Anyway...

Rank: A
Type: Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description:The user will create a ‘Wind Style: Rasengan’ in one hand, and ‘Water Style: Destruction Torrent’ in the other. By combining them, he will create a tornado of water that can be used to attack or defend. This jutsu can also be used to drown out wind and fire combos
Note: No water source required.
Note: Can only be used with either a clone or an ally

You're going to need an ally or a shadow clone in order to use this jutsu, the clone or ally... or yourself, must create a Wind Style Rasengan to mix with Water Style: Destruction Torrent, which your other person will perform. This creates a powerful combination that works on par with Fire/Wind combinations of the same rank. The plus of this jutsu is that it allows you to perform two jutsu in the space of one jutsu slot, making it more versatile and accessible to even more complex combinations.

I like the combination. I wonder though if you can sneak in a lightning technique in it as well due to the water present. If you can, I wonder what rank would it have to be so that it isn't overpowered by the wind spiraling with the water. Other than that, this makes it more appealing to use when I have a clone present. It's a strong combo but nothing like the water vortex we just covered. It's a nice technique in itself but the fact i have to use a clone makes it a little unappealing. Would you get in trouble if say, you had Y/Y training/mastery and attempted this without a clone? Just curious. You know what would be cooler though? Using a larger rasengan and a stronger water technique. I'd like to see that decimate my foes. ;_;

Sorry but I don't have much to say on this one.

If you had Ying-Yang Mastered then of course you could use this without a clone etc. You can indeed also use stronger Rasengan's and stronger water jutsu, though it would result in a different combination and would mean you'd be using two jutsu slots... really the only reason I'd use this jutsu is 'cause it's a two-for-one xD

So these next two jutsu require a water source to use, unless you have a special bio that can perform these sorts of jutsu without said water source... such as Tobirama, Mei or Kisame... okay, not sure about Kisame but it sounds right xD

(Suiton: Senkogenma Kujo) – Water Release: Flash Grinding Destruction
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage point: 60
Description: As his opponent is standing on a source of water, the user will create. four sharks of water. Those sharks will rush at their target, come out and knock the opponent high into the air. breaking several of his bones in the process. Then, as his enemy is in a very vulnerable position, the user can freely attack with swords or other ninja techniques.
Note: Requires a water source.

Okay, so one of the few Shark-esque jutsu that you can use without a Kisame bio. Pretty straight forward and you can easily see why this jutsu requires a water source. You place your hand on the ground and use shape manipulation to create four sharks out of water, that seek out and attack your opponent, like a Great White leaping out of the water to attack a seal (of course this only happens in one part of the world but I'm digressing). You opponent will be airborne as a result, battered and bruised, ready for your to follow up with the kill strike.

(Suiton: Kyojin Nami Shougeki) – Water Release: Giant Wave Crash
Rank: A
Type: Offensive , Deffence
Range: Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user gathers a large amount of water that can then be used to crash into the opponent. It is strong enough to push back Killer bee in Eight tales form.
Note: Requires a water source

You manipulate a large source of water (like, Amegakure Lake size or ocean etc) and create a massive tidal wave... actually I think tsunami would better describe this sort of wave. The wave itself has immense destructive abilities due to the sheer mass of water and with it, great defensive abilities. Though a wave this large will mean you'd lose track of your target(s) while the wave is in motion and as it hits.
