Byakugan vs Sharingan

In the early days of naruto, the byakugan was praised and considered very powerful, potentially even surpases the sharingan. Then as the series went on, sharingan was getting so over powered and praised, while byakugan had no progression and is now preety much nothing (compared to the sharingan). I would like to see some byakugan progression in the future, what about you guys, what are your thoughts on this topic?

Yeah at start of series i have also seen and heard as well that byakugan can detect chakra points and chakra but as the series evolved now sharingan can even do the same which makes byakugan's point totally invalid, i doubt what it is on kishi-san's mind _@:

Probably Byakugan is result of evolution process, so I don't see further development for Byakugan, unless and until Kishi introduces something else in the story..:yeah:

Honestly, the Byakugan can be likened to the Sandaime Hokage, Hiruzen. Initially, it received all this hype, which Masashi has seemingly just decided to ignore.

The Sharingan, by feats, is superior to the Byakugan in almost every aspect, just like Hashirama, Minato and Tobirama are to Hiruzen. As of now, this isn't even debatable.​

I read an interview where Kishi annouced that thee will be "development in the Hyuuga clan" In the year 2013. I don't know if this is true.

The sharingan itself never gotten more OP in itself it was the latter stages of the eyes seen in certain individuals that just so happened to exceed the majority of byakugan users.


All in all 4 users of the MS doesn't really shadow an entire clan

Remember these stages are conditional and the MS users we seen were the best of the best the uchiha has to offer.

Overall,the sharingan has more potential but,the byakugan statistically beats out the usual sharingan user.

I love the Hyuuga's still do. But Kishi trolled my favorite clan so hard. Sharingan has so many god like feats now Byakugan has been left in the dust. so sad really. A second stage to the Byakugan would have been awsome. But I doubt that will happen. Kishi is all about the Sharingan. He even trolls the Rinnegan which is suppose the the most powerful dojutsu of the 3. :vincent:

While true also keep in mind that we started the story when there were only 4 Uchiha left in the world. 1 dead, one quazi-dead, One diseased, and one genin-chunin and all 4 of them achived Mangenkyo Sharingan. Heck even Kakashi and Danzo non Uchihas achieved MS.

So, in essence, we never really had the chance to compare basic sharingan users to the cream of the crop other then from flashbacks and even most of those Uchiha achieved MS (Izuna, Shishui, etc) But you are right though Basic 3 tome sharingan is weaker than the Byakugan.

I'M assuming youre referring to the basis of sharingan, seeing as MS users have different abilities and so on..

Therefore, I'd go with byakugan over 3 tom.

Not in the least.

You need to read up on it because the byakugan has more practical feats then the sharingan.

The reason you think the sharingan is better because the only uchiha we have seen (4) have been the best uchiha the clan ever produced and they all obtained the latter stage of the sharingan that a majority of the uchiha will never get.

The byakugan in general is superior to the sharingan.

Its not just a logical conclusion its already stated within the manga

Danzo did not achieve the ms he stole it.

And we don't have to compare each individual sharingan users to byakugan users the byakugan in general has more applications then the sharingan.

And you citing the uchiha only proves my point they were the strongest uchiha to ever be produced other uchiha are not going to be on there level

one has been noted to have the strongest chakra of the clan.

One had senju dna ensuring his MS would never lose its light.In reality obito would of went blind years ago.
The other (itachi) is one of the best ninja period and the last is said to eventually surpass madara the strongest uchiha.

A majority of uchiha will never gain that latter stage so compared to the byakugan which you don't have to go through emotional suffering or switch eyes for (meaning the powers of the byakugan are more readily accessible -and like mentioned earlier has more appplications) The majority of byakugan users would beat out a majority of sharingan users.

All justu seen have always differed so we can't even really list anything as something the person would get for certain.

Most people keep forgetting that sasuke is a prodigy like the other 3 uchiha we see in the series and all the MS justu we seen are not going to be unlocked just because you unlock the MS there all rarities.


Which brings me back to my main point.

The byakugan has more readily accessible feats and will beat out the majority of sharingan users.
