Byakugan VS Sharingan

Well done....up until the Mangekyo sharingan, a Byakugan has the advantage.
But truthfully at the MS is where the Byakugan is screwed over. While a move like Tsukoyomi is countered just how you said....the Byakugan user has no deffinate counter ATTACK to Jutsu like Amaterasu and susanoo.
By this I mean there is no technique the Byakugan has that can not only repel, but simultaneouy turn the move into the Byakugan User's advantage. For instance, against Amaterasu, one gets stuck in rotation or an air palm. These only provide defense against such attacks. Then Susanoo....now we know it is a mass of chakra, and because of such there have to be weal points on it such as Kisame & Zabuza's water prision tech. Obviously regular Susanoo is weak from below, but also likely from behind. I wouldn't be surprised if the third thoractic vertebrae (Byakugan blindspot) showed up as a weak point because of all the Uchiha Hyuga relation suspicions. Sadly the chances of winning or out lasting a Susanoo is relatively unlikely as the Susanoo user csn both move quickly in Susanoo and use both strong and wide area attacks.
Overall:
Byakugan > 3 tomoe
Byakugan < MS/EMS (Due to lack of plausible counter attacks instead of pure defense)

sir your logic was good till you began t include non canon things...madara doesnt have his ability to see the future, ramaru is not canon, and was part of a filler...etc...but you mmade some good points. good effort

Sharingan is a better dojutsu to use in battle, but the Byakugan is a much better scouting technique.

Sharingan vs Byakugan, the sharingan would win, but I don't see the Byakugan beating a MS, I read the whole thread but still disagree somewhat. Even if the Byakugan allows you to see the user molding chakra, it doesn't take long at all to do the jutsu, and wouldn't give the Hyuga enough time to react regardless. Amateratsu would work in an instant, and would give Neji no time to react, meaning whoever the person wielding the MS can end the fight within the first 5-10 seconds. Susano'o is on another level with any of the Hyuga's techniques, gentle fist/ vacuum palm technique have no chance to even harm the Susano'o let alone break it. One slice of the Susano'o to Neji's 'ultimate defense' and he's dead. Other than that I agree that Tsukoyomi and most of the sharingan users taijutsu would be useless.

First all lets squash all this nonsense about the byakugans blindspot, the blindspot is so small that it would be nearly impossible to take advantage of it.
Secondly remember that MS is a family secret that very very few uchiha knew of at the time. It is more than likely that the same thing goes for the Hyuga clan that have far been revered as having the strongest eyes.With Madara being so incredibly strong there must be SOME reason that everyone would still insist that the hyuga are the stronger clan, this is answered by the assumption that there are many mysteries to the Byakugan that have yet to be mentioned and there is even possibly a Hyuga member that is also revered as the strongest Hyuga that possible surpasses if not matches Madara's strength. This theory is a leap ofcourse but it makes sense, fits the facts and answers the question of why the Hyuga are referred to as the stronger clan and the Byakugan referred to as the stronger eyes. The only reason that we think the Sharingan is better is because all its secrets have been revealed and we have seen it at its strongest, we have yet to see what the Byakugan can do and assume that no secrets have been revealed because there are no secrets to reveal.
We have the strongest uchiha in history, an uchiha genuis that became part of the anbu when he was still a kid and a little brother who watched his entire family die and has been fueled by hatred his entire life forcing him to become stronger. These are the people we are using as the standard of the Sharingan? I dont think so, Lets compare the average Uchiha in the village at the time, like the guy who confronted Itachi about Shisui's death during the flashback. Would that guy be able to beat someone with a byakugan?
You cant take the best of the Sharingan, use it as the standard and then try to compare it to the current Byakugan. That is why I want to refrain from comparing the MS/EMS or Susan'o to the Byakugan because only a handful of Uchiha have even awakened the MS. Lets compare the Standard Byakugan to the Standard Sharingan as we do not yet know the secrets of the Byakugan like we know the secrets of the Sharingan.

x__x, was looking more for elaborations as to why people still think the sharingan wins rather than one word answers, but I guess thats all im gonna get. Personally I think the byakugan still wins although i will admit that things get sketchy once the MS activates susano.
