Theres peobably been a million threads on this. But your vote. Byakugan vs. Sharingan. Which one is better? If it was Sasuke vs. Neji, who would win with Eye Techniques and how?

well, currently its a no brainer, but early on, like back during the exams it would be close, since sasuke would be able to see and probably deflect all of nejis hits. However with byakugan, sasuke couldnt exactly run or outmaneuver, and he didnt really have anything overpowering at the time. Exam scenario id give it to neji just because all it takes is one well placed lucky hit and boom, sasuke is dragging a useless arm. Another couple hits thereafter and sasuke is immobilized.

I say Byakugan. If you were in a fight, you will be able to detect chakra with Byakugan. If you were in a fight with a Sharingan user, you will be able to detect the chakra that is in the eye before they use an illusion technique. Then instantly know your in a genjutsu. I think the chakra travels to the sharingan eyes before casting a genjutsu. Correct?

no man sharingan is far far better in every way but the microscopic i mean its not even a match up is like would you rather have blue eyes or be blind lol sorry man
All doujutsu can detect chakra, not only byakugan.
Sharingan can:
1. Copy techniques
2. See through shadow clones
3. Track movements of people and objects
4. evolve into MS, EMS and finally, Rinnegan.
5. see through genjutsu

Byakugan is pretty cool. And it's probably got a ton more tricks that we don't know about because unfortunately we haven't seen much of the byakugan. But even after saying that I give this one to sharingan.

Sharingan is better
Byakugan has 360 grade vision, also it sees chakra in body and blablabla..
Sharingan has its own techniques like susanoo, amateratsu and genjutsu.. also it copies techniques and descries clones..
oh and Genjutsu don't working on byakugan & Sharingan..

I have to say I totally agree with you to an extent. If it had been before the training with kakashi yes neji could've won. But after the training he wouldve been too fast for neji to catch. You gotta remember he was almost as fast as lee at that point.
eh...it doesnt evolve into those, you need to add something before that can happen.
The Byakugan is said to have the greatest vision and insights amongst all dōjutsu.
1. 359 degrees of vision
2. see through solid objects
3. have a better insight and see the chakra network system
4. See through genjutsu

I can make 10 points or more
1. They can see chakra
2. Know when jutsu's are being made because they can see the chakra gathering
3. An almost 360 Degree view
4. Able to know when genjutsu's are made (I think. They are able to see the chakra in the genjutsu) Not sure about that one <---
5. Only has a Tiny blind spot
6. 50 Meter ratio view
7. Talanted at Taijutsu
8. Ability to Block Chakra points
9. Able to Stop 8 Gate Users
10. Created a jutsu that blocks all jutsus (Chou Hakkeshou Kaiten) - 8 Trigrams Giant Rotation)
And because I wasnt sure about the Genjutsu one (4.) Ill put in 11
11. They created a jutsu that can push enemies far away. (Which would be pretty bad-ass if you were fighting on the edge of a cliff)
The Sharingan user can Copy all but Bloodline jutsus. So you cannot copy a Hyuga technique, Rain, Crystals, Sand or any other Doujutsus
