However, these two know that the other is strong, so they will go at it full power.

Exactly my point.

Neji took so many arrows from kidomaru and only the 8th one killed him. That says something about his endurance.

Gaara also took a few hits before going down. He's got sand armor to protect if anyone ever bypasses his sand.

Well Neji did take a lot of arrows, but since we have never seen them used on anyone else, its impossible to tell how much damage they do on avarage, compared to a simple "punch in the face" from Naruto which both Sasuke and Neji have recieved. But I give that credit, the Kidomaru fight was hardcore.

And thats what I'm saying, Gaara has auto-defense + armor of sand to make it nearly impossible to hit Gaara head on. but when he DOES get hit head-on, it either does devastating damage and knocks him out (headbutt via naruto) or emotionally compromises him and forces Shukakku to take over (chidori via sasuke)

Likewise, Neji has 360 vision + chakra Kaiten to make him extremely difficult to hit head on in combat. but when he is hit, he takes damage quickly and his personality causes him to give up or get discouraged, blaming "fate" for his win or loss. (NOTE: If you don't care about the personality observation, feel free to ignore it, I understand the difference between viewable facts and my own deductions on character.)

Unfortunately I gotta go, good debate though I like the byakugan.

The smaller projectiles won't do so much damage, but the large ones were powerful and made decent craters in the ground when they hit.

What makes you think that Sasuke would even touch Neji? He has greater taijutsu, the byakugan to see him and his chakra flow as well as any traps he makes and is very fast as well. Not to mention he has rotation to defend him against more powerful attacks.

K then cya. I WILL CONVERT YOU SOONER LATER!! IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME!!! xd

Plus the byakugan has more sensory ability than the sharingan.

What makes me think Sasuke can touch him? Sasuke is faster. Quite simply what I said before. Neji's Byakugan had trouble keeping up with the speed of Naruto in K0T state. Sasuke proved later in the finals to have superior speed to Naruto after his specific high-speed training. Rotation is a bitch to get through, but Sasuke has the speed to intercept Neji before his body can begin rotating, (just as naruto did with a simple physical strike at high speed) if Sasuke did so with a sharingan-enhanced kill move like chidori, Neji wouldn't have an answer for it. Sasuke could have more than two shots at it if he used the curse mark but I'm not counting the curse mark here.

The thing about their taijutsu, is that one isn't necasserily "better" than the other, they are just opposites. Hyuuga style "Gentle Fist" vs Lee/Gai style "Brutal Fist". The reason that Neji always beat Lee in taijutsu is because his fighting style goes hand-in-hand with his KKG, notice how the style of gentle fist is perfectly complimented by the abilities of th Byakugan. (And of course Lee would not use his own powerup given the danger it poses.)

But what about an opponent, with the same speed as Rock Lee, and the same Brutal Fist fighting style, but also paired with a KKG/dojutsu that compliments it? The sharingan also allows the user to percieve movement, an advantage that Naruto or Lee never had when fighting Neji.

Sharingan Sasuke also has a wide range of Katon jutsu and ninja tool skills to back up his new insane taijutsu. Remember the combos he was able to get in on orochimaru back in the forest of death because of his sharingan. Sasuke has proven many times that he can spring traps using garrot wire (even swinging from it like Tarzan XD.) and then combine that with high-level Katon such as Ryuuka No Jutsu.

Btw: If you are intereted, the databook #1 (at the time of the chuunin exams) puts Neji and Sasuke BOTH at a speed level of 3.

I dont know if sasuke is that much faster. After all, their databook stats for speed are both a 3. His Byakugan never had trouble keeping up with him. He was able to keep his eyes on him the entire time, though Naruto was faster than before, making him harder to hit from long range weapons.

Rotation could still block sasuke's type of ninjutsu since, unlike Naruto's punch, there isnt any extra chakra to match that of the expelled chakra. Plus, moving at that speed for him is physically exhausting and he himself said that chidori takes a bit of time for him to prepare, which leaves him open to attacks from Neji who could go in and attack him at any time.

Sasuke is more at a disadvantage than usual since Neji has superior taijutsu, has the byakugan, is very analytical, and pretty fast himself. His ninjutsu is nullified by Nejis rotation and he has no genjutsu to help him. . His sharingan will allow him to see Nejis movements more clearly, but he cant copy any ninjutsu or taijutsu since it requires superior chakra control and the byakugan to use effectively. Once Neji uses 64 palms on him, Sasuke has no way of avoiding them since he doesnt have the precog abilities of the third tomoe. After that its over.
