However, these two know that the other is strong, so they will go at it full power.
Exactly my point.
Neji took so many arrows from kidomaru and only the 8th one killed him. That says something about his endurance.
Gaara also took a few hits before going down. He's got sand armor to protect if anyone ever bypasses his sand.
Well Neji did take a lot of arrows, but since we have never seen them used on anyone else, its impossible to tell how much damage they do on avarage, compared to a simple "punch in the face" from Naruto which both Sasuke and Neji have recieved. But I give that credit, the Kidomaru fight was hardcore.
And thats what I'm saying, Gaara has auto-defense + armor of sand to make it nearly impossible to hit Gaara head on. but when he DOES get hit head-on, it either does devastating damage and knocks him out (headbutt via naruto) or emotionally compromises him and forces Shukakku to take over (chidori via sasuke)
Likewise, Neji has 360 vision + chakra Kaiten to make him extremely difficult to hit head on in combat. but when he is hit, he takes damage quickly and his personality causes him to give up or get discouraged, blaming "fate" for his win or loss. (NOTE: If you don't care about the personality observation, feel free to ignore it, I understand the difference between viewable facts and my own deductions on character.)
Unfortunately I gotta go, good debate though I like the byakugan.
+rep and I may come look back at this thread later,
