So much byakugan origin threads going around which had some nice ideas but I think are a bit too farfetched “the sage’s wife having byakugan” etc.. Bringing up things that weren’t even mentioned in the manga which would require too much story telling. But anyway here’s mine:

The elder son was affected by the juubi which is why he always had the curse of hatred: In-depth reason why (read later if you want)

The elder son inherited the eyes of the sage he was angry because the younger son was chosen by the sage to become successor which was the first act of this curse of hatred as he was affected by the juubi

The early elder son descendants all had the same eyes (whatever the elder son had) and all of them still had this hatred.

A group of people in the clan (later known as the hyuga) overcame this hatred and after generations obtained a watered down version elder sons which the byakugan (White eye).

And the other group of people in this clan(later known as the uchiha) couldn’t let this hatred go and after generations obtained a watered down version of the elder sons eye (but still with the hatred in them) which became known as the sharingan.

I can’t be bothered to do a long thread so I will keep it brief.

I believe the byakugan holders over came this hatred by solving the problem that started it all and making sure the younger sibling in the clan never became successors (main house branch house). I believe they did this very early on after the situation which is why over time they removed the main cause for the hatred an obtained the white eye the byakugan.

However in the clan despite solving the main cause of the hatred a new form of hatred was forming which was seen by neji’s dad and then neji in part 1. Naruto talk no jutsu put an end to this though.

I believe the sharingan holders couldn’t let this go and decades (or however long) after they were still fighting and competing with the original younger sons (senju) to show they were more powerful. They just couldn’t let the hatred in them go.

I could of went in to so much more detail like the juubi's eye and the sharingan but my threads are always to long

this could explain how the hygua came into place and how it's related to the sage, it was a good read.

? I don't quite understand what you are saying but I am saying that the hyuga has solved the main cause of hatred with the elder sons descendants and that was the decision of the younger son being chose as the successor. Which lead them to received a watered down eye of the elder son but with out the hatred.

Notice how the sharingan resembles the juubi's eye and look at the conditions that have to fulfil to obtain power. That is all hatred to me.

Of course and that's true. Naruto basically put an end to the whole Hyuga Clan hatred of the main and lower branch. Uchiha's are geniuses and they don't let themselves get swayed that easily. Hatred is born within their clan and it has been grown to such levels by others. The Hyuga Clan expected so much from their members that they would punish them hardly with training. Hiashi's brother sacrificed himself to prevent a war inside of Konoha. Sometimes hatred is born of out strictness that should be abolished. The Hyuga has learned to push aside their clan's way and become comrades not only within their clan, but with others as well.

Yh but the problem is they got rid of this hatred by force (curse mark on branch house members foreheads) that is a fake peace with in the clan and is why neji father and later neji was to rebel against this until naruto changed neji in part 1.

But I personally think hatred is the only way for doujutsu holders to become powerful look how powerful neji became because he wanted to show he is no different from a main branch member. He was the top genin but after naruto changed him he didn't train as hard as he did when he hatred the main branch and remained the same throught the series. I think hatred makes doujutsu holders stronger

the thing is that there are two branches of power and notice how the elder son believe's that the elder son is important.

the hyuga took hatred of the elder son and made that rule of the elder son being in the main branch and the younger son being in the other branch.

i actually made a theory of the uchiha having a branch class because they talk about hatred of the sibling roles but they don't even have a branch system.

Yh I think the hyuga took a different form of hatred from the elder son then the uchiha. The hyuga made sure this mistake for the younger son being chosen as successor never happened again and the uchiha still hatred the original younger sons of the sage.

I read your theory and so fair you theory is possible as we have only seen two types of different ms uchiha techs susano tsukuyomi stuff and space or time stuff. So nice work

It wasn't a perfect peace, because the elder brother always is thinking that their ways are correct. Nothing can come out from an outside force, because it's only about their clan. I do agree that the dojutsu becomes stronger with hatred as a source. I mean look at where Sasuke is right now. If he didn't let hatred take over. Where would he be right now? He would be weaker than Gaara!

True if sasuke didn't have hatred he wouldn't seek to kill itachi and if he didn't he wouldn't of obtained MS and then later EMS. Neji became so powerful with his hatred as well he was the strongest genin learning moves that was only taught in the main house and only the elite members of the main house could do.

Neji looked to me the strongest genin, but he was trolled so bad, when he went up against Naruto. A single punch from the ground disabling him. It was just a pathetic way to end a match. :sy:

It actually was I re-watched that battle a few times it was the only punch naruto landed :sy: where as neji landed many blows on him and even got him in a eight trigram sixty four palm.

If kishi was always going to have naruto win at least make him win in a realistic way, one punch? :sy:

Byakugan is one of the biggest plot holes out there IMO. I dont think we will ever know how it came to be.

I personally just want the Byakugan to get more love, it's been severely overlooked by Kishi. If it doesn't get a boost of it's own, I think it's should at least get more attention.

if i recall (and i will attempt to link to the webpage), i believe kishi wrote in one of his databooks that the sharingan mutated off of the byakugan looong ago, obviously before madara so further back than current naruto history goes. While that doesnt truly state the byakugans origins in ink, since we know now that sharingan can transform into rinnegan, hence so should byakugan be able to (although its unlikely to happen due to lack of need in the plot) which would further mean that as the elder sons genes were diluted over and over through hereditary traits, it merely weakened into the byakugan and once again according to a databook, mutated at some point into the sharingan.
