Has all those OP abilites, while the coolest thing byakugan has is ALMOST 360 vision. Byakugan is even said to be the ancestor of sharingan :|

And it's like totally cool cos it makes your eyes red.

Your theory means it's the other way around.

As far as a pure byakugan and an untouched Sharigan, I would probably pick the sharigan but only by a lil bit. But that does not count MS or EMS.

I see what ur saying but with that outlook the 1-tomoe is a different eye from the 2 and 3....do you see your flaw in logic? Its like this, just because a person goes thru puberty that their a different person which is not true. But ur right people have their own opinion but as a whole on paper and in action the sharingan surpasses the byakugan greatly



I must disagree the sharingan holds more helpfulness (gen,tai,nin,copy,hypnotism,chakra sense....etc.....vs 360 view, telescopic view, chakra sense, and X-ray vision)...for me it clear as to which is more powerful, and as a personal choice its the copy wheel eye

well that is a matter of preference i suppose but the sharingan may make you go really crazy as really the only sane sharingan users are probably Itachi, Shishu and Obito/Kakashi but idk. But don't forget that the MS erodes away your vision slowly so this is why i think byakugan is more useful. However we can agree to disagree

I understand your meaning but that wasn't the question (which would u prefer?) It was which is more powerful and regardless of which you prefer the answer is the sharingan by a landslide......but your right about the sharingan being more problematic but the pay off/usefulness is imo worth it

That's a good point indeed, but the way I see it the 1,2 and 3 tomoe Sharingan are all gradual progressions towards the complete Sharingan (not MS or EMS). So in that regard I would consider them the same eye. The point I was trying to make is the 1,2,3-tomoe are all still the base Sharingan because they don't jump in great power each time.

For example, to go from from the 2-tomoe to the 3-tomoe isn't like going from the Sharingan to the MS. It's a completely different level entirely

The truth is, they are each better for different things.


The Byakugan:
-Can see all 300+ tenketsus on the body
-Can see the chakra network
-Grants 360 degree vision
-Can see over great distances
-Grants vision through solid objects
-Distinguish different chakra signatures
-Can see through genjutsu
-Can see chakra color of different types

The Sharingan:
-Can predict physical movements via muscle movement
-Can cast genjutsu
-Can copy techniques (to a limit)
-Can see through genjutsu
-Can see chakra color of different types


The fact is they are both different Kekkei Genkai. Asking which one is better means nothing because it all boils down to personal preference.

For example, personally I prefer the Byakugan over the Sharingan.

Exactly. They each have their own unique strengths and weaknesses. The sharingan when honed has the potential to be much more powerful than the byakugan from what we know at this point.

We have a schewed view of the sharingan because the majority of sharingan wielders we've seen have the mangekyou sharingan. The fact is these members are the exceptional ones and not all. Most sharingan users likely never attained the mangekyou sharingan and some might not even have gotten the sharingan. The byakugan is different in that all users have it active from the start it seems.

Yes the power jumps but its still the same eye (excluding EMS to a point)...another ex if a nerd starts working out(1t) at the gym and gets stronger over time(2t,3t) and in the end he will be greatly stronger then wen he started(MS)....now EMS is a different eye only because of the transplant needed
