nope, a hyuuga is still capable of being caught in a genjutsu through their eyes. However, they are able to nullify this by closing their eyes and relying on their byakugan vision.

agree but they still cant look at there opponent because it doesnt matter if they cant see the byakugan as long as the byakugan can see the sharingan hint hint killerbee

They arn't immune to Genjutsu.

But their insight with the byakugan makes it easier for them to recognise genjutsu so then they can release it.

They are not immune to genjutsu. But can escape it relatively easily.

I thought the Byakugan can detect if someone is under a genjutsu, not make the wielder immune to it.

Good point. In reality, Byakugan, unlike Sharingan has no anti Genjutsu feats. Ao just noticed that Mizukages chakras flow was unnatural, and concluded that he was affected by Genjutsu.
