No byakugan is just an ass eye it's only power in insight and near 360 vision. It can't see anything from another dimension. I bet it can't even see Konoha's invisible barrier.

Near 360, telescopic, better ability to see chakra, better ability to read movement. Fun fact, Hagoromo was able to see Ashura's soul in Naruto and Kaguya used her Byakugan to do the same, what does that say ? Byakugan has Rinnegan's level of insight at the very least. And Limbo isn't a dimension it's a space between dimensions

It can't until it is stated in canon to have such ability.

Byakugan and Rinnegan can both see chakra, which is why Kaguya and Hagoromo could see Ashura and Indra's chakra in Naruto and Sasuke.

It's more than simple chakra signature because Sasuke and Naruto have their own as well. She was able to tell they were transmigrants because her Byakugan allowed her to recognize Indra and Ashura's souls in the literal sense. Sharingan isn't able to do that.

No one else with a Byakugan could see these spirits. The manga made it pretty evident how she came to her conclusion. At first she assumed it was Hagoromo and Hamura, but after further analyzing of their chakra, she saw that Hagoromo's chakra was only in the seals.
