You are definitely right. but you also have to remember that all forms of chakra originated from the shinju tree. Giving credit for her byakugan to cross dimensions is like giving credit that her third eye is responsible for gentle fist.

No byakugan is just an ass eye it's only power in insight and near 360 vision. It can't see anything from another dimension. I bet it can't even see Konoha's invisible barrier.
