Byakugan and Genjutsu

It can see chakra, so when a genjutsu is underway, they can see it happening. Whether or not they're resistant to it like a Sharingan is not stated.

No. it was never resistant to genjutsu. I'd say it is more vulnerable even, especially to ocular genjutsu. What it has about genjutsus it can distinguish if someone or something is under genjutsu and where the caster might be

You're literally throwing a bunch of things together in the hopes that it sounds canon. By your logic, the Nara clan are better at genjutsu than the Uchiha due to their strong affinity for Yin chakra.

The Sharingan seeing through genjutsu is not a genjutsu feat but a hypnosis feat, as seen when Itachi was able to reverse a genjutsu on it's caster.

When giving an example of the Hyuga clan Hinata shouldn't be used as an example she's a poor representation of Byakugan abilities past the general abilities. Like seeing long distance, through objects etc. I mean she with her Byakugan couldn't even tell Neji was using chakra to block her points and or see them to know. She was kicked out for lacking abilities it's understandable she inherited the weakest gene pool of the Hyuga. It's like using a fodder uchiha character as proof of Uchiha abilities in general that's not very good.
In truth excluding MS genjutsu I personally believe the Elite Hyuga can see through genjutsu since they can see through alterations in chakra and or chakra masses just as Sauce xan see. The resin I'm doubtful on MS is because the spred with which it's used.

She even looks frightened in the scan they're using.
