it's true. Hiruzen was said to be the strongest hokage and the strongest kage of the 5 kage era, while hashirama's powers were said to be a fairytale (implying it was hard to even imagine) and madara aaid he was the strongest shinobi. Madara compared the fight with the 5 kages as a little game, while he praised his fight against hashi as a fight to the death.

we really don't know for sure that hiruzen>minato, but from hype and what we've heard overall he' stronger as a ninja. as for hashirama, NO QUESTION ASKED.

Hashi>Minato due to madara's praise of hashirama's extraordinary strength.

I'm saying by hype, Both 1st and 3rd hokage>Minato.

by feats, hashi was said to tame bijuus, invented the scroll of forbidden seals, beat madara etc. so he's probably stronger, but as for hiruzen, we haven't seen his prime feats, so we don't know for now who's stronger by feats.

people just give 3rd a lot of hype b/c one person said he was said to be the strongest, saying stuff like that isn't neccesarily true and remember that was a long time ago all the characters have far surpassed the 3rd

I believe that it goes Hiruzen>Hashirama>Minato, but that's just my opinion. Not only does Iruka say Hiruzen was the most powerful Kage, Kabuto and the Databooks do too. As for Minato, he's strong, but he's not the best

they always do....there was this sasori vs minato thread once.And everyone kept saying minato with no proof.Sasori was the clear winner one cut and minato will get paralyzed.
or the 3rd raikage vs minato thread...every one of them was saying minato would seal him....What jutsu does minato have that could seal the 3rd raikage?Powerful sealing jutsu take time and preperation not to mention you got to get the enemy to stand still.
Thats why the sand ninja caryry around thos big scrolls.

But thats just me going on a rant.Though it is proof minato fans do tend to go crazy.

so lets say
they are equal and can't say who would win if they will ever fight.
