Just as the title says.. For instance,

why do you think edo madara will always beat the kages, its not because he is smart and not because the kages are dumb but he is soo brutal, thats why he will win.
Or call me a troll or whtaever but put this into consideration,
shikamaru and itachi,who is smarter. Ans shikamaru. Then put the both of them in a battle and see who comes top. But someone would say shikamaru because he is smarter(foolish), itachi will give shika his ass to eat cause he will brutalise the boy..

Same reason why naruto will beat kakuzu anytime cause naruto is much brutal... This is why threads like itachi>nagato,itachi>/<minato become invalid cause a non edo itachi cant own a mobile nagato even with sasano cause nagato has the rennigan,more chakra and far more brutal for itachi... Minato will own a non edoitachi the MS eats it user chakra and minato has lots more chakra/stamina.. But this battle can go either way itachi can just put the guy in genjustu and its over.
Same goes for why sakura will plumer ino and tenten so hard in a 2vs1 fight, even with the byakugan you wont be able to tell who they are. And itachi>kakashi, zestu>alliance army,pein>konoha anytime, akamaru>pakku just because they are more brutal than the after.
PS this isnt a versus thread so dont jump the gun, but to highlight why brutalforce owns smartness most of the time.

Madara's shown strategy on some level the entire fight but don't underestimate intelligence. Hidan was basically pure brute force, not in being super powerful, but in being a one hit kill. Even with that Shikamaru still beat him.

So your comparing who would win, brawns vs brains?
If so why do you give examples like Sakura vs Ino or Tenten? If Sakura is the brawns, then your saying Ino or Tenten is the brains?? Wtf...who gave them credit for having brains? Naruto showed more brains in part 1 than they did.

Doesn't this apply in all anime?

Hidan vs. Shika. Brain vs Brawn at its finest and the brain definitely isn't the one with a body in little pieces trapped in a hole in the middle of a forest.

I guess that's a valid example.
More often than not, brawn would win.
If Shika didn't have any info or planning, would he still beat him?

More or less you have some point, but as it was mentioned above, your examples are bad.

Actually I think it depends. If Pain had not called Hidan and Kakuzu back the first time they fought, Shikamaru and the others that were there most likely would've died alongside Asuma. Brainy people like Shikamaru (majority of the time) have to always plan things ahead of time to be victorious, which is a good thing but not everything always goes according to plan. Brawns, however, could easily fall for traps or w/e they probably feel overly cocky and let all of their guards down and dig their own graves. Basically I think it's at an equilibrium. Anything can happen.
