generally if your screen is broken than its broken and short of replacing iit there isn't a way to fix it.

You could try removing the broken parts but that wouldn't guarantee a fix.

and btw please don't use curse words as its against forum rules.

staples said they could fix it for a couple hundred but would it be worth it?\
i think maybe talking to future shop guys would be better i guess
well if you have a spare 300 just laying around than yes it is worth it.

right now it probably isn't since you already have it hooked up to a monitor.

just save up the money and buy a new laptop than transfer all the files you want to the new laptop and than part out the current one.

though if you can get the work done cheaper and find a working screen thats relatively inexpensive than go for the repair.

You're pretty much screwed and will probably have to continue using the monitor unless you want to pay a decent amount ot fix it.

Also most warranties don't cover screens, you should have read the fine print.

it is very easy to do there are several sites that sell them sub 150 dollars, wwwlcds4less.com[/URL] is the site I use for all the replacements I have done...there are only about 6-10 screws and everything else snaps together after taking out the screws
