If hes alive then so should everyone who got hit by the Juubi's tbb but the only reasonable explanation for Ao to still be alive would be because of his Byakugan and he said he did receive the eye from a Hyuuga royal but even then this shit makes no sense... at this point i dont know what's filler or not the anime or manga???

Since the manga seems to be going in the direction of the Hidden Mist field trip im officially going to start following the anime more than the manga because at this point i think the manga content we've been getting is very inconsistent compared to what we received from the anime

The story is the Manga not the other way round. If the anime goes another route or adds things not in the Manga, its filler. 1 arc ain't changing that.

The manga takes place after the events of the Anime. The Manga seems to be incorporating important elements from the Anime (which currently is taken place before the events of the Manga)
As to not contridict the Boruto timeline.

It really isn’t as complicated as you guys are making it out to be. If you want congruencey then just watch the Anime and not read the Manga. The anime will eventually cover everything that happens in the Manga and fill in anything that wasn’t covered.
