bring back auto-merge

basically we used to have the auto-merged double post feature... people are complaining of high post reqs for rp... however others are abusing the forum games by spamming pages and pages of individual posts not even using it for fun which is the purpose of a "game".

if we brought in the automerge again... maybe post reqs could be lowered... im fine either way but i hate to see all the spam from single people and i think it would cut down most of it in forum games...

Forums games that actually have a good theme like counting, last letter word game, ect... I never see big amount of actual spam. It's the "Post here to raise your posts" thread 1-3 I think now? They get the most, if anything the only, spam out of the gaming area. I never saw the auto merge thing your talking about, but I don't think it'll change anything. Lowering the amount of post requirements does sound good though, but then again maybe it would become too easy to get a rank you want.

I agree with Kiwi, I miss the automerge feature.

Plus i think he's more concerned with the fact that one person can create a thread in the games or chatterbox and just create post after post without anybody else posting.

i dont like spam that much i totally agree with u kawa =\ i totally get annoyed when i have to open 2 posts in tabs and copy paste so that it doesnt appear like a double post

im talking about ages back... and im referring to the stuff like "post as much as u can to raise post count" threads... and others where people use it as an excuse to post multiple things instead of putting them all into a few posts... if u check the random fact thread... i wasnt wanting to mention it but each post has about 2 lines max mainly by 1 person... it should all be merged to one post instead of posting lots of seperate little pieces in a deliberate attempt to raise post count.

automerging posts would cancel all the temptation as it would just merge the countless consecutive posts of 1 person to 1 post instead of him getting 20 posts where a normal person would get 1 post the fair way...

as i say this doesnt affect me as i have the posts but it affects u guys that do it properly so people dont have an unfair advantage who started at the same time and it means less work for the moderators having to look through countless pages of pretty much nothing incase someone did something wrong...

and why exactly are u against spam?

sorry nadare but people abuse the system... other people do it fairly and if you are one of those that are abusing it... you're causing so much more work for mods and quite frankly it's a general nuisance. :|

i know that, and no i am not one of them. It would be just so hard to gain post's then. And yeah i know, it makes a lot of work, so i think there should be more mods as first, and as second, this sistem sucks, i liked more the previous (missions) system. I know some like auto-merge, but i don't
