According to a new report by The Hollywod Reporter, actors Will Smith, Tom Hardy, Cara Delevingne, Jai Courtney, Margot Robbie, and Jared Leto have all officially been cast in the film! Smith will be playing the character Deadshot, Hardy will be the group leader Rick Flagg, Courtney will play Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne will play Enchantress and Jared Leto and Margot Robbie will be playing the craziest couple in comics, The Joker and Harley Quinn!
The President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production at WB, Greg Silverman, commented on the news with the following:

“The Warner Bros. roots are deep on this one. David Ayer returns to the studio where he wrote Training Day and brings his incredible ability to craft multidimensional villains to this iconic DC property with a cast of longtime Warner collaborators Will Smith and Tom Hardy, and other new and returning favorites: Margot, Jared, Jai and Cara. We look forward to seeing this terrific ensemble, under Ayer’s amazing guidance, give new meaning to what it means to be a villain and what it means to be a hero.”

The film is set to start filming in April in Toronto and is set to be released in August 2016! I love this casting so freaking much! All of them are great honestly. The only one I’m not too excited about is Jai Courtney mainly because I haven’t been impressed with a single thing the guy is in, but I’ll hold out hope until I see actual footage from the film. I’ll have to learn more about Enchantress because I really don’t know that character much from the DC Universe.
Hardy, Smith, Leto, and Robbie are all A list actors with incredible talent, and I can’t wait to see what they do with these characters. I love that Hardy will be the leader of the group, and I really, really hope that Leto knocks The Joker out of the park. It will have been 8 years since Heath Ledger portrayed the character in The Dark Knight and hopefully, Leto will be able to do his own thing with the character and give us another amazing performance.


Well, here we fvcking Go!............. I'll finally get to see The Joker and Harley in the same film, hopefully they knock it out of the park.

I don't like Will Smith, I hope he doesn't ruin the movie with his BS ._.

Will Smith might be too big for this movie. He needs movies where the focus is manly on him, that's all the roles he's ever played and is beast at.

The only thing I'm hesitant with is Will Smith as Deadshot, not because he's black and Floyd is white, but because, I only see him as a good guy, I can't see him as a villain who kills people for money, but let's see, but please Will, don't bring Jaden in. Hope the movie rocks, Tom Hardy in DC again, freaking awesome.

edit: Just saw Cara is in it. Margot and Cara in a movie together, so sexy, hope they have some sexy moments and really people don't know Margo Robbie, haven't you seen The Wolf of wall street? She was awesome in it.

So we can have a black Deadshot who's historically always been white but make an Exodus movie using white Egyptians and it's the most racist thing in Hollywood? There's a black member of Suicide Squad who is a ****in boss, Black Spider. Joker was never a member of Suicide Squad, there's a better way to put him and Harley in a movie together, like maybe a Joker standalone movie that starts with Harleen Quinzell interviewing him at Arkham. And it what incarnation was Flag the leader? Deadshot is the most recent team leader.
