it occured to me that the only one we have seen out of the four that have resisted control of edo tensei that actually broke his contract is

madara as seen here

but i was thinking maybe the release he performed doensnt necessarily have to involve being summoned by edo tensei


Remember he broke his contract with the summoner (kabuto)


Im starting to think sence the creater of the jutsu has not "released" his contract


i believe it was a contract release to break contracts with summon jutsus

That's really a new thing to know and then he can also obtain his original body by the power of rinnegan but its not happening so I think he must knew some forbidden technique to break free.

He went completely against Kabuto's control and did suicide like Hashirama was able to go against Orochimaru's control as well and wasn't in the puppet state.

Going against the orders was the same not what happened after, I definitely think that counts as breaking edo tensei as he broke out of Kabuto's control to be able to do suicide.
