I get it you're saying that madara used a jutsu that breaks the summoning contract between you(1 being summoned)
and the summoner. Possibly that's what it seem.

Hanzo, Itachi, Madara, Hashirama all broke from Edo Tensei control just enough to do whatever they wanted at the right time.
Itachi was put under genjutsu, Madara has Sharingan so that could have something to do with him releasing the seal on him while
Kabuto was under genjutsu. , Hashirama powered his way outHanzo did just quick enough with a burst of power to commit suicide.
I believe Hanzo could break out, but not hold his composure long enough to keep control of his own body, so he poisoned himself..
