its alright calling the people who judge christians as a group ignorant, but what about half of the worlds christians judging us for the stuff we all do and defying their so called god :p since when do they ever get criticised for being ignorant on that point :p
That is a very broad generalization with no proof to back that claim up. The fact of the matter is anyone who judges other people are flat out wrong! There is not a single person on this planet who should be judging people(outside of judges) because 1)no one is perfect, 2)everyone has done wrong before and 3)everyone has done something stupid/selfish before.

Btw, true christians make it a point not to try and judge others because that goes against our religion itself.

Religion in general is bad for you.
I posted this in another thread, but will post it here as well...

The problem with religion today isn't religion itself...it's people.

Throughout history, mankind has used religion(like so many other reasons) to manipulate, control or destroy--all for his(nuetral) own reasons. Humans, by nature, are a very selfish/self-centered species.

Having studied multiple religions(including: Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism, Taoism and some Muslim)--most of the major religions teach "love" as one of the very cornerstone foundations of each religion.

I took a Psychology course this past summer and we learned how humans naturally tend to form into group collectives--even when they are already within similar groups. Once they form into said groups, they start to look at all other similar groups as outcasts and will sometimes even become hostile towards these other groups. It is not something unique to religion. This type of behavior has been studied and documented in cultures and ethnicities all over the world.

If humans stopped being such selfish, greedy elitists and got down to the fundamentals of most of the major religions(such as love)--then there are a lot of things that could change. Unfortunately, you have people in power who crave more power and individuals/companies who are only concerned with money.

Just turn on the news and watch. All the conflicts going on right now are all about money, resources and power. Those in position will say/do whatever it takes(including manipulation) to achieve their goals. Anyone who has watched the Republican primaries from the beginning can see what I am talking about.

Religion has many wonderful things about it. Unfortunately, most of the people making all of the noise are the ones who don't actually follow the tenants of their religions. As the saying goes, "a few bad apples spoils the bunch".

Lets not believe everything we read on the internet.

Its a satirical website that writes over the top articles. So shelve your prejudices for a second and try not to jump to conclusions. There may be some Christians in the world like this (i.e. Westboro Baptist Church), but this in no way represents the majority.

Sitting in church and listening to a man preach does not make you a Christian just as sitting in a garage does not make you a car. Don't even bother saying "Failed Logic" because you'll just be missing my point.

It is very easy to become Judgmental, especially when the Bible is involved, and it's human nature for some people to become obsessed with certain things. The biggest problem is when people take what the Bible says and apply it to others. In reality, much of the "do's and don'ts" are for you to apply to your own life, not others'.

I'm not ashamed to say that I am a Christian, but unless you're doing overt satan-istic activities, you won't see me throwing that title around. Even still, it doesn't mean I wouldn't see you as a person and treat you too differently (Unless you're just being weird, but that applies to any weird person).

Some people here don't like religion and that's fine, but idiots, fanatics, and extremists are not limited to religion so don't be narrow-minded and limit this behavior just to religious people. (I am speaking to no one in particular)

I'm not here to argue religion(s)/belief systems, just pointing out that there are less fanatical people out there. Hey, Jesus hung out with the sinners, thieves, and tax collectors so I have no problem doing the same. I just don't have to participate in things I don't agree with.

If you don't agree or don't understand what I wrote, I may explain if you'd like, but my whole point is that not all Christians walk around smacking you upside the head with the Bible and making you feel like a bad person. Bash on each other if you must, but I'm not here to judge. :p

Boy how I really do hate some PEOPLE

Such as people that make these threads. You know if you focused less on hating people different than you and focused more on not caring the world would be a better place.

"So your a Muslim, I don't give a f***"
"So your an Atheist, what do you want some spaghetti or something?"
"So your a Christian, you know what I am? I am not caring"

People like to categorize and label things... and they like to think that they are different and 100% unique.

Yeah, they also try to think their way is the only right way and no others can possibly be right.

Ironically that is more of a European Heritage thing XD In Asia they are the opposite, they try to group and reduce individuality.

Well, if you truly believe something, then I would imagine you'd think it's the only way...

True. I haven't yet been fortunate enough to leave the U.S.A. and experience other cultures but soon... SOON... o.o

I have a lot of Asian teachers in my college.... We are also being taught about different cultures and work ethics. Asia is SOOO different from us.

<_< I believe my ways are more efficient then other peoples ways, but I also understand there are alternatives to the methods I believe in that could work but at a lesser efficiency. Since people don't usually understand this I just say my way is the best way, however I do recognize there are always multiple paths to the same solution.

Understood. I am usually of that type of thinking except when it comes to my belief system, but I don't push that opinion on others. It's just the way my belief system works... If someone has already chosen a path, I won't get all hostile on them telling them they're wrong, just that I don't agree.

If someone's not open to my ideals, I'm not going to force them to listen or try to "change" them. I'd rather just be who I am and let my life style do the talking. (Basically, unless a person is genuinely interested, I'd rather not say anything at all).

For everything else, there's MasterCard :|
