More people have been senselessly butchered in the name of Christ than anything else in history ever. "Back in the day" anyone who tried to invent anything or create anything or better their lives was burned for being a witch or a heretic, there was the crusades, the dark ages, and countless other religious campaigns where Christians would takeover countries, force them to be Christian, and kill all who refuse. Ever seen the movie red state? Its about a religious cult who put adds on craiglist for gay lovers and gangbangs and stuff and kills anyone who answers them for being "impure to gods will" or something like that. And religious people are always gay bashing and trying to call it against gods will to be gay, but if God didn't want there to be gays, people wouldn't become gay. I think that while there may have been some higher power in the creation of man, or at least life in general, that modern organized religion is just something for weak minded people to cling to so they wont fear death as much.
