The Hyuuga were Konoha’s most renowned clan. It wasn’t strange for that kind of genius to manifest from the blood of the Hyuuga’s lady Hinata.

I don't really care if you don't find that canon, it's written by Ukyō Kodachi ( boruto anime & manga writer ) and illustrated by Kishimoto who made it canon. Potentially Naruto & Hinata genes are the strongest, deal with it. Both inherited Ōtsutsuki Chakra and Boruto "probably" herited his Jougan because of the mix. Deal with it, Boruto is the main character, obviously he will become the strongest. Sarada isn't his rival.

-Born with 'potent' chakra.
-Decently large chakra reserves
-Affinity for two elements by default (Fire style and ______)
-Inherently have a Will of their own that's on par with the Will of Fire (Indra, Sasuke, Obito, Madara, Itachi, Izuna are prime examples)
-Said Will is magnified by the Curse of Hatred
-Potentially can become a War lord

Sarada made a distraction so that Cho Cho could get behind Shin and attack him, hence why Sarada called her name right before she did. Then Shin played them both.
