The issue is I am a slow reader so I like to stop the videos as I read. I won't be able to understand half the movie if I am so worried about reading the text half of the time. On top of that I was planning to take my little cousins with me who to would have trouble following along the movie. So overall watching a subbed movie for me is not worth it.

Other than that I don't really think there is much for answering. It wasn't as if I watched the movie with subtitles, I watched it in Japanese audio so I didn't understand the dialogue but I did get to watch scenes of the movie. If anyone wanted more detailed image in their head about the movie and scenes I can answer it but as far as plot goes I only know so much.

In the beginning you see Hinata/Himawari buying groceries, and then they return home with Boruto after seeing him with his team mates. Boruto goes to his sister and he finally breaks out a genuine smile, and he laughs, to which Mitsuki responds, "Boruto has a side like this?" And Sarada responds, "Boruto didn't always used to be like he is now" (reminiscent to 'young sasuke' who turned everyone away, Boruto acts out with anger constantly. He basically shoves everyone out too, other than his sister and mom)

Later you see the Uzumaki home, and Boruto is helping his mother with the groceries. Later it skips forward to a birthday party with the whole Uzumaki family singing happy birthday, and Naruto is lighting the candles on the cake. Himawari breaks out in a smile and she looks extremely happy, and as Naruto comes to bring the cake the shadow clone gets destroyed due to exhaustion. Boruto gets extremely angry and begins to curse him off basically, calling his dad a 'shitty father', and then Hinata begins to console him. She even tried to teach him a lesson, saying that Naruto wasn't born with parents, you have to endure with what you have. It sounded more mature with her words, I can't remember it in great detail.

Boruto then says something extremely rude about Naruto and his dead parents, and then Hinata tries to grab him, and then Boruto shakes her off and he runs upstairs. You see him find Naruto's old jacket (which Himawari found while she did housework with her mother in the beginning of the film), and he throws it out of the window. Sasuke then catches it and he comes to the door, but before that you see Hinata hugging Himawari who looks like she's going to cry.

Some sad music plays before Boruto hurriedly goes to answer the door thinking it's his father and he's going to make things better, instead Sasuke appears, and then Boruto leaves with his eyes shining/glowing.

It was at that moment when he decided he would defeat his father for being a 'shitty dad'

Thank you so much for explaining it. Just thinking about this scene really breaks my heart because seeing Himawari sad is the last thing I would want to see. Of course knowing Himawari, she probably might have forgiven her father since she understands the position Naruto is in and is really patient, unlike her older brother.

Towards the end of the movie you see the entire family having big old smiles at each other. Especially Himawari's before her brother and father leave the house and give each other another 'fist bump'

I heard that in the movie you don't get to see Himawari interact with her father, which I felt a bit disappointed really since the only times we ever see her do that was at the end of The Last and in the Hokage one-shot. But of course the movie is about fixing the bonds between father and son so it doesn't have any relevance.

In the beginning of the movie, they show a lot of what Naruto does as a Hokage, and he creates a lot of shadow clones to do it as well, outside of the main work he does.

The Hokage is basically a slave to his village in that sense, they even make him do mundane jobs such as helping old ladies, but that's mostly because of Naruto's gentle nature. I can't read the dialogue so I'm not sure 100% what was going on.

Yeah the villain was disappointing but that's not the biggest problem people think, Momoshiki can absorb Ninjutsu. Meaning Naruto/Sasuke can't lash ott or throw anything at him, otherwise he would only grow stronger. That includes all techniques with Ninjutsu, the movie implies he can absorb an unlimited amount thanks to his special Rinnegan eye.

That's why only Taijutsu/Kenjutsu was used, Boruto's hack Rasengan, and then Sasuke/Boruto finished the job.

With Boruto they destroyed basically everything that has to do with him being this hardworking, and relentless shinobi they advertised him as. He's extremely lazy, he's shown to not care for anything when it comes to being a shinobi. It's until the conflict arises that Naruto ruins his sister's birthday, after he warned Naruto that he would never forgive him, and after meeting Sasuke does he finally begin to want to become a shinobi in that sense.

It's funny because Boruto represents the kids of the modern world, those who have all these devices, and when you compare the kids nowadays to the older generation ... They didn't have the internet on the palm of their hand, they didn't have these unlimited resources. If they wanted information they had to ask, or they had to go to a library and read a book. Now you can just use google and all your questions an be answered in a few seconds.

It's basically a reoccurring theme in this movie, and is used on the MC too. While Boruto may be a Prodigy, since he doesn't put the effort in to train, he isn't that strong. It's another theme Kishimoto added where Hard work beats Genius.

Naruto/Sasuke talking about Boruto

Naruto compares Boruto to Sasuke, although he takes it back afterwards. This is the scene where Sasuke comes back from his mission. After looking for Naruto at his house and meeting Boruto there for the first time, he goes to the Hokage’s office. After talking a little about Sasuke’s findings on his mission, Sasuke gives Naruto his old pre-shippuden jacket, saying he found it lying in the street outside his house (Boruto threw it out the window out of anger). He tells Naruto that he ran into his son, saying they’re very alike. Naruto denies this, saying if anything Boruto is more like Sasuke. Sasuke looks surprised at this, but then Naruto takes it back. He looks sorrowfully at his beat-up jacket, saying “no, even your clothes were more wrecked than his are.”

This doesn’t make sense out of the context of the movie. Basically, one of the themes deals with the struggle of what part technology plays in a ninja world, and what part ninjutsu plays in a technologically progressing world. It’s the whole ‘old vs new’ struggle that comes with modernization. For example, kids are playing video games instead of training. This debate is highlighted by the new armgear technology that plays an important part in the movie. Naruto bans the use of this gear in the chunin exams at the beginning of the movie, saying that true ninja need to discover what it means to be a ninja through hard work and sweat, not taking shortcuts using technology. Boruto later uses it to cheat in the chunin exams, which leads Naruto to disqualify Boruto, even stripping him of being a ninja. Naruto and Sasuke even cast a ‘bet’ on what ‘being a ninja’ means in the modern times, with Naruto thinking the fundamentals of being a ninja are changing, and Sasuke thinking they’re the same as in their childhood.

Going back to the scene in question where Naruto and Sasuke are talking, Naruto is referring to the fact that Boruto is a genius like Sasuke (and unlike himself). However, the reason he takes it back is because unlike Sasuke, Boruto is lazy and doesn’t try hard or train (Konohamaru and Sarada also say this in other scenes). This is what he means by saying ‘unlike you (Sasuke), his clothes aren’t tattered’. If you reword it, he acknowledges the fact that even though Sasuke is naturally gifted, he always put the effort in to get to where he is today.

Lol there's no scan. He was stab with five blades and didn't receive treatment after.. And later the injuries are gone..
