Good review but i wouldnt rate it that high for more reasons than one. The only best parts about the movie are the fight scenes sasuke vs kinshiki gokages vs kinshiki dam that female tsutsikage murked kinshiki with some punch i was shet. Then the momoshiki vs naruto and sasuke. We need more of the new gens. And maybe naruto and sasuke should have fought kinshiki and momoshiki seperately im not a fan of teamwork fights thats one of the reasons why i love one piece fights they all have different opponents. I honestly liked naruto vs toneri more than the momoshiki fight. And god dammit why didnt they show when hinata went and fought them to get naruto back i was expecting that. And one last thing kinshiki is badass only reason momoshiki is stronger cuz of the rinnegan sucking power. I give this movie 8.5 only cuz of that tsutsikage female badasserie i want to see it again lmao

Nice review, mate. Glad you enjoyed the movie, which is the most important thing at the end of the day.

It looks like pretty much everyone thinks it's substantially better than The Last, which I'm happy about.

Great thread, Indra! Comprehensive analysis of the major scenes and themes.

It is a different experience watching in a theatre versus watching at home. Although I plan to go later this week to see it again, I'm not sure if it will be the same as it was yesterday. It was clear that everyone in the theatre was a fan. Lots of "oohs" and hoots when Sasuke was on screen, laughter at the silly scenes (that Mitsuki reveal especially, which was toyed with both during the movie and the ending credits.)

It was very satisfying to see Naruto and Sasuke fighting together, and even more interesting to watch Sasuke and Boruto. After the final fight scene, when Naruto and Sasuke both flopped down to sit side by side, exhausted, I had the distinct feeling that the "torch had been passed."

But I did not have the feeling that there was more story to tell. It felt like a conclusion, and a much more satisfying one than Chapter 700 was.

The symbol that ended both Part 1 and Part 2 (Sasuke's headband) might have been used by Kishi not just for all the themes it represents (acknowledgement, hope, forgiveness, reconciliation), but to let the fans know this is really the end.

Agreed. I can't believe it's all over now.

With what you said about the torch passing down, I felt the exact same. Their will and principles, namely Sasuke and Naruto being passed down through new shinobi, and even Shikamaru was passing down his torch onto his Son. It's such a great conclusion but it leaves you wanting so much more xD

This movie beats its ass, bar none.

True, but I feel like the movie had great character development for Naruto, Sasuke, and Boruto. Which is why it deserves such a high rating because I haven't seen Kishimoto write a story like that in a LONG time.

He used the device
He was talking about some of the clones, in the Novel it says that Boruto got washed up badly without landing any hits. Something about them having intel on him already, but that didn't happen from my memory.

Nice review. So this really is the end of naruto.
Thank you

good movie. Though I'm still not digging Naruto and Sasuke's adult look. Anddd Boruto is now neutral with me. Just not into the "prodigies" anymore i guess.

Great review. I thought "The Last" was just decent too despite enjoying it (as it's fun to watch the anime I grew up with on a big screen), but man you made me even more hyped for the movie. ^_^

I just got a few more days to go until I get to watch it. Should be good.

I guess Kishi wasn't joking when he said it was his best work.

Great review & Great write up Indra. Definitely can tell you put some work into this one. Saw the movie with two friends yesterday. It was phenomenal. My only complaint was that it was too short. Aside from the Kishi always needing to nerf Naruto & Sasuke.

What do you think of Boruto after the movie? Bias aside

I hope that he goes on to become a fine ninja who guards the hokage or becomes hokage. Hopefully he doesn't cheat or be lazy anymore, since he's shown he can do anything he put's his mind too.

Do you think the development went well per se? As in from start to finish.
Well...
Ninjutsu wise I was pretty disappointed that Boruto decided to be a Naruto clone for a good portion of the movie. Didn't really understand how some of the genin from other villages new the technique either.. I personally thought his vanishing Rasengan to be pretty rad, & was hoping to see him use more elements.

His character was good though. The movie did a good job too show us where Boruto was coming from when he would act out or what not. After all he was just a kid who wanted to see his Dad more, & impress him. He was funny. After Momo took Naruto a pretty radical change occurred in his character which I liked alot.

I agree for the most part.

I'm hoping for him to branch out, maybe even learn some Kenjutsu when he grows up.

The movie is great. I realized that Naruto...the whole show and the character Naruto could've been a lot better if Kishi wasn't D riding him hard with that "I'll never give up. I'll be hokage. That's my ninja's way. I was all alone".....

I sat down and watch that movie and went like Naruto could've become one of the best anime character at all time if he wasn't just a freaking linear character.

edit: I miss Neji. He was destined for Greatness! A part 2 rivalry between Hebi Sasuke and neji would've been perfect!

Agreed
