The story was clear it's going to be all Bolt right from the beginning. I don't understand the backlash. If you don't like everyone kissing the ground Bolt walks on, this series is not for you. Exactly why I don't like it. I don't like Bolt as a character. Just go read a song of ice and fire or something if you want a series where the main character actually faces threats which can kill him.

So many people have discussed the same thing. I don't need to read it to be able to know. That's how shitty the writer is.
Heck I've even watched a total of 3.5 episodes of Boruto and have basically came up with that conclusion.
The fact that my conclusion FITS to the manga and anime says much about Kodachi's writing. It's like someone fed Kishi's story to a computer, replaced the names around and told it to write an extremely similar story and this is what we got.
A story with lack of originality and no direction. It follows a skeleton that was laid by Kishi and yet is riddled with discrepancies because MOST of the scenarios have been done before and dealt with. It no longer makes sense or it does not fit well into the story with the circumstances that it has now. Yet, Kodachi does so anyways and that is why it makes it EXTREMELY weird.
Character design of Boruto, yeah.. he messed that up big time. One-eyed jougan with no CM or byakugan? Something established by Kishi himself?
Sarada dressing up MATURELY, in a "sexual" manner. In the sense of being revealing and high heels? really? A ninja uses stiletto? that's like saying wear a bikini in winter because that is what people want to see.
Kara - Akatsuki with masks.
The only thing that Ikemeto has done right so far with character design is making them look somewhat realistic (like the hairstyles.. except for Boruto and Mitsuki. Their hairstyles are anime AF) and Momoshiki with fruit. It does not look stupid. IDK why Kishi reused the demon twins skin for Momoshiki (maybe easy to just reuse resources for easy animation?) when Kaguya's design was not like that at all.

Koji might be asking Boruto to join Kara.
Koji knows about Boruto's seal I think & will activate it somehow.. He's probably got some kind of control over the seal an will make Boruto believe he's not a threat by stopping Boruto's pain from the seal activation..
He's also drained of chakra after the sabre sword..
Or he could just threaten to kill team 7 & Boruto leaves with him to spare his friends.. Somethin has to happen soon as far as plot goes..
I'm hoping so anyways cause I'm really trying to give this series a chance..

Because i already accepted that this series has shit writing and have been saying so since it started(hell if even forgot about the last chapter coming and read it a WEEK later). the anime even more so.
I simply dont care since Boruto is my fav and if the writers have to shit on other characters at his expense then so be it. Like you said if it was the other one way around alot of you would do the same thing, they are far better manga running right now for me to care or waste energy about the writing on this one.
And theres a series called Dragon Ball(particularly) Super where its all about Goku while almost every other characters gets shafted. But since you cant find me any similar scans to ones i posted where done here :lol.

My point was Bolt has plot protection. He will get the best power ups. He will have the best fights. He will get the girl he wants. He will get everything and they will ruin Naruto and Sasuke in the process too. The series I was talking about has the main characters actually dying midway and side characters get time to outshine the main. This was partly there in Naruto. It's absent in Bolt.
